Thank for your commented. I explain for you as below: Above main rebar layer (1 side) = 1/4 the length of span in it. Example: span of short slab = 4meter. So the main above bar will 1/4*4 = 1meter per side
It does not matter how long shorter span is. One-way slab applied when longer span >=2 shorter span and other factors indicated in this video( please see details in video) . In big building , slab will divided many size and shapes. There are many oneway slab and twoway slab. And you will applied follow the rule for every kind of slab. Finally, this is so good design and economy. Thank you so much
Good question. Both methods are adapt technical requirement. space of crank bar to crank bar in one side is about 20cm . Its does not matter alternative bars alternative sides. Two side are saperate moment. So, both method is same qualify.
Wrong!!! The anchoring is not performed at the ends of the bar! It is necessary in the one direction slab. And a protective layer of concrete not less than 50 mm.
