I totally agree with that peaceful feeling when it comes down to the realisation, that you are either going to live or die. The feeling is uncomplicated and without fear. I felt this when i had a heart attack and was in the emergency ward, aware of the seriousness and yet hovering between two worlds. No final frantic thoughts, just being quiet and still.
For sure - really puts things in perspective - hope your doing okay now!

Reminded me of part of a poem below, which I found aligned with this concept of the strength of one's mindset and the idea that nothing of life nor death [arms 'n' legs etc] should be feared nor should be allowed to steal from us our positive mindset; how we think, use our mind. That's basically how we're living... Starting to see how this is powerful!
