The reason that the person that donated at 16:30 that had his car search by a K9 unit and didn't alert to the weed is because they are only training to alert to certain drugs if that drug is not a high criminal offense in that state, and or is legal the dog wouldn't have alerted to it
And often dogs sometimes don't always alert when it's faint traces since they are trained to alert when it's a 100% positive which is why k9 is such a good indicator that it warrants an immediate search of the property.
K9s are horrible at detecting drugs outdoors they have very high false positive rating

Either the prosecution dismissed the case because they couldn’t prove that they put the coke their because it was a rental, or they snitched, and told them who they got it from and where they were taking it

1 kilo in this area (at least about 15 years ago) is $20k to $25k. Cops always be over estimating the drug cost to make themselves sound bigger and better. Maybe after it’s been broken up and distributed it’ll be $100k but not sold bulk like that lol
That's what "street value" means, the actual value of it would be 20k to 25k sure, and street value might mean something different to you, but "street value" is legally defined as the total estimated amount to be made by selling the drug on the street and is used to determine the potential economic impact in court had the drug been sold rather than anything to do with gross profit earned by the people selling it.
@@jadedplover1851 no the way cops estimate it is split up into individual uses and they base the value off of that. The STREET VALUE is not the same thing. Because there is a street value for individual uses and a street value for the product as a whole

Imagine you have this much illegal stuff in the car. The last thing you’d want is for the police to stop you. I think most people in this situation would do everything in their power to follow all traffic rules and avoid attention from the cops. They are just boosting their chances of getting caught by a lot, for absolutely zero extra reward. That’s just beyond stupid..

They can't. A jury and judge don't need to be 100% sure about someones guilty, it just needs to be "beyond reasonable doubt" to be applicable for guilt. For example you saw clouds, lightning, and rain in the distance, went to sleep and woke up the next day and saw everything was wet outside. You could argue that a helicopter came with a water bucket, dumped water on your house and left, but that wouldn't be reasonable now would it? You can prove that beyond reasonable doubt it rained because you saw clouds, lightning, and rain in the distance the night before. You'll never be 100% certain in anything, it just needs to be common sense.

Drugs shouldnt be illegal. This entire scenario would not happen in a world where things are done correctly. Hopefully our society moves in a direction where every cop is held accountable for this behaviour.
