    I built my own table too with casters. The machine is bigger in person than what it looks like on screen. It’s really a beauty! Thanks for the fire extinguisher information. There’s a place that I bring my regular extinguisher to get inspected every year. I’ll see if they sell the one you mentioned.

      That's great! Yes it sure was. And it sure is. And Lightburn has more features than I will probably be able to figure out. Thanks for watching and for the comments. The Lightburn youtube tutorials have been really helpful. Have a good one!

    Hi Gord - Very good information in your video! If I can provide some advice on one topic, it would be regarding the ventilation system. If you have your engraving machine located in a warm environment like a heated shop or basement, and the vent pipe goes outdoors into the cold air - especially during winter in the Northern regions - you can get condensation buildup inside the engraving machine when the equipment is not in use. During the winter months I always disconnect the vent pipe from our engraver when not in service to prevent this from happening.

      Hey thanks very much. I appreciate it - I disconnect it when not in use. Thanks again - great advice!

    Good Morning! so ive been watching your videos trying to decide on the Bolt, great info, thank you very much. I have one question, I will be starting with this machine inside the house, is there alot of residual smell from the laser? I dont want my wife to kill me. Thanks in advance!

      LOL! you and me both! I am only 2 months in now, but here is what I have experienced. Tumblers, anodized or coated aluminum, short engraves ( up to maybe 15 minutes) on birch, or maple ; no smell except a light smell of wood - birch, maple etc which if you are like me, I like that smell. But it is not strong. But burning MDF or 1 hour engraves on wood etc will produce a smell for sure. MDF does not smell nice but i like the smell of wood. If I may suggest, just make sure to exhaust the vent as close to the machine as possible as i did. And if you are burning MDF, get some Febreeze. LOL! Hope that helps. Honestly, wicked laser so far - I couldn't be happier with my decision. Good luck and let me know how it turns out.:)

    What safety glasses do you recommend when using the Bolt?

    • @LaserNUG
      @LaserNUG  6 месяцев назад

      HI Greg I bought mine off Amazon dot ca. I can not leave the URL but they were 10600 nm CO2 Laser Safety Glasses - made by Jiler Wear and certified. You will see them - they come with a black case and I think they were the only ones that met that high a wavelength protection (10600nm). Cheers!

      @@jasonhuapaya923 Good day Jason. It is good for me - I'm 5'10". I made it 32" deep which is perfect - the table butts into the wall and there is enough room for the exhaust pipe to lay in behind it without being pinched. Also , I added cross braces because when the laser head is whipping back and forth at higher speeds,, the table would start to shake side to side a little. Hope that helps!
