Great Video, thank you! I watched it before installing mine and it went so much smoother. I have Bushwacker Trail Armor Rocker Panel guards on mine and I just used a tool to cut the plastic out where the Rock Rail bolts went through the pinch weld. Fit like a glove! Thanks for the great guidance/video!
I also have the trail armor guards and am debating installing these. Do you think I could simply drill out the pin holes from behind the pinch weld, or will I need to cut the whole section around the holes on the outside of the pinch weld?
Hey, ik this is an old video, but what did you end up doing with the Mud Flaps interfering? Did you find a good spacer solution? I have a Wildtrack 4 door and have Gatorback mud flaps, but got them before I knew I'd be getting rock rails, so no holes. Was a spacer sufficient for fixing the spacing issue? Are those mud flaps attached to the crash bar I assume? (That's the case with Gatorbacks)
They should absolutely fit the Outer Banks. Just be sure you don't still have the factory side steps already, as you'll have to remove them. Also make sure you get the correct ones, as 2dr and 4dr variants are different lengths.
Hi Steve, I’ll be doing a follow up video in a couple weeks probably to address some things we’ve started noticing more after the new car novelty wears off, lol. Wind noise is certainly noticeable, especially at highways speeds. But it’s hard to pinpoint if it’s wind noise from the top itself, or the mirrors and boxy design of the front end/windshield. The frameless windows done offer the best sound insulation either. Honestly it is to be expected I’d say. Through town, and at low speeds however, it is a really quiet ride actually. Even standing outside of the vehicle as it pulls up it’s really quiet. It is an off-roader with a removable top, not a luxury vehicle after all. Surprisingly though, you can whisper in the cabin and still hear each other at a stop light which is pretty impressive. Thanks for the support, much appreciated 🙌🏼
@@wheelhousegarage798 I was wondering same thing waiting on my 2022 I ordered. I was just hoping it was better than the jeep hardtop at highway speed. Thanks for info
I do not have the factory hardware specs. But you should expect it to all be metric threads. Just make sure you either get some flanged head bolts, or bolts with lock washers and loctite.
Any thoughts of cutting a bit of the length of the forward end of the rail to allow for clearance for the mud flap? Looks like just an inch or so would need removed.
Hi there! Yes, it is certainly a thought I am thinking of. I’ve seen someone else do it already to fit 37” tires. I think we’re gonna hit the trails first before I cut them, because the mudflaps might have to come off anyways. But they are definitely about 1” too long like you said. I would probably recommend cutting them before install if I could go back. Thanks again for watching and commenting! 🙌🏼
@@DH-yq1du you could absolutely it the flaps. But honestly I just added a bit of length to the “spacers” for the mud flap mounting holes. It barely touches it now, but I do plan to cut the rock rails once we go to 37” tires. Thanks for watching!
It needs a solid front axle, it will ride tighter with more grip on the front tires in windy windy highways. It's back heavy with one sold axles, maybe weld 300 lbs up front on the frame.
Thx for the video - installed today after watching a few times! You saved me hours!
@yoties76 glad we were able to help save you some time! That was the goal :)

Excellent tutorial. Thanks for posting!
Dude, this video was amazing
Thanks! This helped me when I bought my takeoff.

Great vid. I’d just go rock slider to frame better
Hello. Do you know if these would fit an Outer Banks?

How's the wind noise with the hardtop? Can you talk about the hardtop pros and cons? Great videos by the way!!!!!

Try tightening the bolts holding the hardtop on.
Can you let me know the bolts i need? I bought mine second hand came with no bolts
Do you have the dimensions for all of the hardware sizes for the install? Bought them aftermarket and didn’t come with hardware

How did you install your splash guard on your bronco?
Hi sherwyn, if you check out my Channel you’ll find a video on the DIY install of those mudflaps. Thanks for watching!

@WheelHouseGarage would it be "cheaper" to cut the flaps? I haven't looked on mine, so maybe it doesn't make sense?
