    I totally get you. Proving I can act is what drove me back to acting. But the irony is it’s also what was holding my acting back. I would push to make an impression. But you’ve got to let go of the result in order to experience the moment.

    Totally agree with all points. My at home studio has become a playground where I explore not only the characters I have for class and self tape auditions but have been playing with world building. Learning how to create not just self tapes but scenes where making choices to get closer to camera or further away to emphasis points or open the characters world up. I too have seen the play mindset slowly taking over my need to be prove myself in class. Maybe it’s muscle memory, maybe it’s confidence or maybe both

      That’s amazing! And exactly, world building the perfect way to describe it. It opens up so much possibility!
