God must really hates you guys, since your city will run out of water soon. Maybe it's time to take measurements based on science to ensure continious watersupply, instead of praying?
Thanx for the video and the prayers, we got our rain in many parts of the Cape Province, Praise Jesus, even while we were praying and singing at Mitchelsplein (was it in 2018?), we got about 20min of soft, misty rain, amen. He never seizes to surprise His believing children! It was a good thing I took my umbrella against the sun. God bless.
Amen! This is incredible. God is good! If a little bit more rain will come down more water gates can be opened up an hopefully all the sewage below the damwall can be washed away to the other dams downstream. Hopefully the fishes will survive.
Thank you very much for this informative and beautiful video Dirk. I have enjoyed it very much. I am also a dam chaser and I do a VLOG every now and then on the Hazelmere Dam as I am from Kwazulu-Natal. My latest is called HAZELMERE DAM INFLOW SPIKE AFTER HEAVY RAIN. I think we have chatted on Facebook as well, so you probably know about this. Enjoy your day and thanks once again.
Nice to see the Vaal full. If you are in Gauteng some time would love to see an aerial of Florida Lake .We lived in Janet street which is down the road from the lake and As kids we spent a lot of time there but we moved to the UK back in 1984 so kinda miss Florida and the lake
This is brilliant footage you have taken Dirk... absolutely breathtaking to witness. Just a heads up, 18 seconds into the video, you show footage of the dam wall at 26% full on 30 Oct 2016.....At that low level you should see at least 50 meters of dam wall.....???
Thank you Oscar. Your logic makes sense. I know the Vaal Dam is very (relatively) shallow hence the large surface are if you compare to the likes of Gariep double it's size in volume yet same in surface area. Or even Sterkfontein which holds more volume yet only 35 km2. Guess there must be a narrow but deep gorge at the wall that was still covered by the remaining 26% water. If you look at the wall from the river's view the water was still quite high up as you say.
And because you prayed, it rained?? No, it rained because all of the conditions necessary for rain were met! Where is the logic? Why has it not rained for so long? Were your prayers being ignored, or were the weather patterns not right for rain? Mmmm
Dankie Dirk dit was baie spesiaal. Dankie dat jy die Here die eer gee. God is goed.
Brilliant! Thanks for the great shots Dirk!
Great video. My biology teacher played this video in school today.
Hi Queen La Queefa, I'm glad my video added some value in educational circles.
Thanks for that great video - what a wonderful blessing - what a faithful God we have.
The Lord Jesus has been merciful in sending rain in good time these few days in Gauteng🙌🙏
this is just brilliant, now lets keep praying Cape Towns dams see close to these levels soon.
TOO MUCH SIN IN CAPE TOWN ?
Praying does not work

It's nice to go from 26% to 100% in a year. Imagine people were starting to get nervous at 26%.
Yes it is nice, and we are heading for 26% again. Again sitting at 44% as we speak.
Now at 65 %. 23Dec2019
