🏆Super happy to be hosting this with my good friend @crowla ! We're finally putting this out a little over a year after we started work on it. I know it's niche, but I hope you enjoy this blend of Warriors and horses as much as we've enjoyed putting it together.

Summary: Hoping to win money at the upcoming fair, Dark hires a barrel racing instructor for his wife, Sleek, and niece-turned-adoptive-daughter, Violet. Sleek and Violet don't know each other very well yet, and the lesson becomes awkward when Sleek tries to show off and fails.
At home, Violet feels like she's see-through. Dark is only interested in his own stuff and Sleek is always preoccupied by her floundering marriage. Their barrels instructor, Needle, works to bring Sleek and Violet out of their shells. It takes time for Sleek to warm up, but she eventually finds she really enjoys spending time with Needle; and as she gets to know Violet better, Sleek and her feel they're on the same team and start to look out for each other.
Sleek and Violet realize they are happier apart from Dark and seek support from Needle, who picks them up and lets them stay at her house to get some distance and clear their heads before the fair the next day. At the fair, Dark is annoyed that Sleek ignored him all day, and that she won't be competing after he paid for her lessons. He's further disappointed when Violet places 7th, meaning he gets no return on his investment.
Sleek forces Dark to see how his negativity is bringing down Violet, who loved competing even though she didn't place. Dark can see this, but his pride won't let him try to fix the situation. He would rather leave. Sleek, Needle, and Violet decide to forget him and have a great night at the fair.

Fun fact about horses is that they almost have the same amount of bones of a human! But horses average 205 bones and humans average 206, the only difference is between one bone!! - I've submitted my application and provided my fun horse fact!! Can't wait to see this map come alive, it's going to be phenomenal!!

I love this concept so much!! First time I see non romantic warriors that is also not tragic or dark or ends in death. Just a fun, cute, wholesome story ❤️ this is true innovation. I am really busy right now but I will consider joining soon!!

lol the “furry cowboy” fun is trying to figure out how they’d get around without horses. eventually you just let the horses exist

As a huge horse girl , had passed my childhood on farms too and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron HUGA FAN, i would love part of the project. one amazing fact that Horses have good ears and that can move their ears 180 degrees, that's because the animal's ear is made up of 16 muscles each. In addition, it is possible to perceive its thermal sensation through the tip of its ears, if they are cold it is a sign that the animal feels the same way.
oh my goodness I was a huge horse girl through out my childhood too, I would play Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron on repeat as well as Racing Stripes!!! 😃😃
Omg Spirit was my FAVORITE movie. I would borrow it from the library and watch it 6 times everyday. I cried every time XD

I loved horses when I was a kid and I still do now. It's so cool how one of their first ancestors was only the size of a rabbit!

I absolutely love this!!!! I personally do barrel racing so I just had to join! I applied for part 44!!!! I remember reading somewhere that horses actually use to be more fox like and then they evolved into what they are
today! Which is pretty cool! They were called Hyracotherium! They stood 10 inches high at its shoulders and had four toes on its front feet and three on its back. I love evolution!!

Okay, Warrior cats AND horses, all in one? This is officially my favourite thing ever
I applied for most of the remaining open parts, as well as backup. Anthro maps have a special place in my heart. Did you know a horse's heart weighs up to nine pounds, while a human's is only about nine ounces?
This is a really awesome MAP! So glad to be applying for it! As a child me and my best friend really liked horses and ponies, I would love to take that same energy into this MAP! ^^

Fun fact: I've been looking throughout the internet for any interesting fun facts and all of them were too short or too long in my opinion XD. So I decided just to tell you, that even before I started drawing cats, I was mainly drawing horses.

Horses are so awesome! I personally collect Breyer horse models, since I have not the dough nor the time for real ones. My favorite one is modeled after the show hunter, "Brunello!"

I adore this map so much. I can say I was quite devastated that it was put out right when I was about to start counseling at a therapeutic horse camp. It was totally a blast, miniature horses can become service animals for a reason, but I was pretty happy to see another call for backups. 🐎

saw some parts are still open and sent in an application! this looks so cool!! and something horse-related is horses are unguligrades, meaning their legs are set up so that it’s like they’re walking on their fingernails! and also some people think a horse’s chestnut is the remnants of a thumb that went away with evolution! fun!

that is true! foals need to be up on their feet asap since they're prey animals, you never know when you need to run away and being an already vulnerable foal, you cannot afford to be left behind

I don't know a ton about horses but I did grow up with a lot of them in the area and knew friends who owned some. They always seemed like such sweet and intelligent animals.

AHHHG i had to apply for this... i am so excited to see this.. some of my fav horse facts are that their legs are fingers and if they are nutrient deficient they can and will eat birds and they can control their skin and we are lucky they are prey animals
