Milwaukee Gen4 vs HILTI NURON (Hammer Drills)

- This is just a little versus video of the New Milwaukee Gen4 hammer going up against the new HILTI NURON hammer drill. Both of these hammer drills are very powerful. See how these compare against each other.
I just want to point out that both of these tools were cheaper to buy last fall.
Products are in the product section.
I thank you for checking out this video, Im just your average guy having Fun with tools. I test tools out to see what these tools can do, and what they can't do. Please Subscribe to the channel and get that tool fix here. Have a great day!
#hiltiinfluencer
Hilti tool works so good and works even better with their own Hilti insert tools
I love using my HILTI tools :)
Hilti. Is hands down the best tools on the market.
HILTI is a fantastic brand.
I run Hilti and Milwaukee gear. The Milwaukee gear is crap compared to my Hilti stuff. Milwaukee triggers on fuel jigsaw, gen3 combi & impact and 6 1/2" Circular saw don't work half the time.
Dave.
Not only does it perform better but they last! I changed two chucks and then the motor finally went out in a Milwaukee before the hilti had a hiccup. Milwaukee fanboys make me laugh.
Meh, I gotta say Hilti is great but Bosch is comparable.
Hilti batteries and tools have a serious problem on their a22 series. Multiple people I know have batteries that just stop charging out of nowhere as well as the charger. Other than that hilti tools are amazing. I love how they work full throttle until the battery runs out. It doesn't slow down at all.
Dude! Brother, thanks so much for showing the anti-kickback feature of these 2 fantastic drills. It's incredibly important for tools of this quality, and capacity to have such a feature.
ill show that for now in my drill videos or sds videos. :)
I agree completely. I have had cartilage/ligament surgery on my wrist due to my wrist getting torqued the way drill kickback happens, and that anti-kickback tech is very important when you're using the drills in the high torque setting.
@@l00nybin Milwaukee only has kickback control in one direction, which I found out while in reverse one day
REALLY missed your vs videos, your the king of them!!
I will be uploading one of these every week or 2. but I made the decided not to make the graphs anymore
@Man Caver Tools YES!! THANK YOU SIR 😊
Great test. Looking forward to more videos like this. Only thing I miss is showing how much runout each model has.
Hilti is awesome and the quality and durability is the best in the business. I have had my corded Hilti hammer drill for 20 years and it is still working as it should.
The price however is a bit steep consider you get the same performance for almost half the price with brands like Dewalt, Milwaukee and Makita.
most people love the HILTI brand but the price point is why people dont buy into it.
Because Hilti is for the professional not homeowner. Quality, craftsmanship, warranty, one day turnaround for repairs is hard to beat.
@@thenomenclature7243 Yes, but you are also paying for the service in the tool price. Brands like Dewalt, Makita, Milwaukee and Bosch are also for "professionals" but the price point is lower and the quality is usually a bit lower .
I'd say Bosch is right there with Hilti.
@@normalguy4147 Bosch is great and the quality is good, but the durability on Hilti is on a league of its own from my experience.
I have some quality Hilti tools from the days when everything was made in Liechtenstein. The rotary hammer drills are really worth the money, but their other tools are overpriced. Here in Europe there is a huge price difference between two specific tools.
What's Bosch like in Europe, as an American im jealous you can buy a Bosch corded Lawnmower and I can't.
I sure am glad Hilti sends you stuff for review. To be such a fantastic tool line, I think only the Home Depot carries the HILTI tool line in my area. I haven't been to the Ace Hardware in while, so couldn't say if they have them. There's also a Tool & Farm Supply store called 'Northern Tool's which I believe carries HILTI.
Home Depot does have HILTi tools on the online store.
The Northern Tools and HD stores around here don't carry Hilti, sadly.
Wow! Both of these tools are very impressive. Great side by side comparison.
BTW: If you decide that you want to get the older Milwaukee working let me know, I will be glad to look at it for you and see if it's fixable. Keep up the excellent work 👍
I thank you sir, but I got rid of it already
how thats brunt sweater your wearing? i been wanting to buy one
I just walked the tool aisle at walmart and found a few new hypertough stuff I assume it's garbage but I'm curious it's a 12v max brushless impact driver with 1380 inch pounds
even 12v impact drivers are powerful. when it comes to certain tools the specs might be a little off. but id go for quality over quantity.
That handle bothers me too. The only reason I could see for it is if you bought the kit, the way they store the handle is disassembled. So because of that I think they took the pin out so you could take it apart for storage. Seems like an unnecessary trade off to me.
its a loss, that pin helps out big time to get the handle on quickly and easily
@@ManCaverTools with all the bad handle designs out there is sometimes seems like they are trying to get to creative about it. Which one is your favorite?
@@TinkerWithTools My favorite handle is actually Makita. the short handle that came with the 14 hammer drill
Time to see if the Hercules BL hammer drill can keep up at all like their impact driver!
@@txvet7738 exactly what I was wondering. TTC showed some amazing results with the impact driver, so I'm curious to see how the hammer drill performs.
Nice test results 👍
Curious Dave, does the milwaukee carry a regular 8ah battery or only the high outputs. I would assume if HO that has a little more kick to it than a standard battery giving it an advantage over the Hilti. Although both were pretty close Glad to see the versus videos
I think they also have a high demand 8ah battery. but a regular battery I dont think so
The HO batteries are called that because they use 21700 cells where are better than the 18650 cells used in the xc batteries. As far as I know Hilti uses only 21700 cells so it should be a fair comparison
I'm going into this video with the assumption that both drills will be equal, and that batteries this big are impractical for constant use. I'm interested in how the 5/4 ah will compare, and interested in the results of this video.
Edit: wow, they are both absolute brutes. The Hilti looks to be much more refined overall, but Milwaukee has gotten really fast. Your videos have gotten to be rather professional as well. Great job to all three of you!
I thank you Stauker, Ive been working hard on making the channel better. I will be uploading one versus video a week. doing the tool store walkthroughs majorly helped with talking more fluently to the camera
If you have the Milwaukee Fuel Gen 4 Hammer Drill I recommend using the 3 amp High Output Battery, as it still has the power to do the job, but at 1/3 the weight. The only thing you’re giving up is runtime, but that can be mitigated with 2-3 amp HO Batteries. I rarely, if ever use anything other than the 3 amp HO Batteries in all of my Milwaukee Fuel hand tools. I’ll use the 8 amp battery in my miter saw.
Amazing tools!
Greetings from Chile
Hilti also good not so fast broken have a job in big construction and use hilti daily couple hours heavy jobs and still works perfect
I'm happy you came back to make vdo like this. Next time I'd want to have dcd999 in the race too.
more videos are coming.
Até nos berbequins a milwaukee ganha.
Gostava de ver um comparativo com a bosch.
Where is that Hilti manufactured ?
I got my Gen 4 hammer drill with a 5 amp hour battery for 70$ then the impact Gen 4 for 107$ then the m18 fuel hackzawl for 90$ and a charger and another 5 amp hour battery for 50$ tax included on everything. The M18 line up is so cheap and good
Where the hell you buying them at those prices?
@@dvrn86 like I said, it’s all about the Home Depot hack when they allow you to buy a tool with another tool or a tool with another battery on the receipt one of them isn’t free they both equal out to with the original price of the dealers then you can return the one you don’t want and you don’t want and don’t worry Home Depot ain’t losing anything. People have spoken to Home Depot representatives and they said that most people don’t return the second item or the item they don’t want and for the ones that do that usually the ones that are buying in volume and what they want to just to get it off the shelves.
Good to see a tool test again!
Hilti Looses on Price. And that unfortunately can not compete with the other affordable brands.
Man I had a chance to get one of these Hilti hammer drills with 5.2 ah battery and charger from a pawn shop last week for $49 but it was sold by the time I went after work. So disappointed I missed out on that one
im sorry about that tanner
is it the new hilti sid4 coming soon?
ill have to take a look. it was on the website for a little bit but they removed it
@@ManCaverToolsSID -6 is available again and a new SID -4 just launched last week bit smaller than the SID 6 ideal for electricians
New SID-4 impact is a single speed affair with less torque than the old SID-4. I love my old SID-4 and am not interested in Nuron.
Dave.
Wow crazy how great milwaukee has become. Such a powerful drill and a fraction the price of the hilti.
Yeah, Milwaukee will have given up its ghost long before hilti, Milwaukee is garbage
Did you even watch the video? They have the same tool price, smh my head
@stauker .1 that's weird because hilti is usually way more expensive. The hiltiť drill kit with 2 batteries is over $800 so how ate they the same price
@@markk3948 Hilti has better batteries
@stauker .1 I love milwaukee and have the best luck with them. I always thought hilti was alot better. I'm suprise how good milwaukee did against hilti
Brother, can you give me the Milwaukee
model ..? Thanks

Good test thanks for this job
I thank you Bilal
Would you be interested in selling that broken milwaukee by any chance would you?
my bad bro. I actually gave it away to a neighbor for parts
@@ManCaverTools Do you have a list of favorite tools per brand so it helps for me what to buy?
HILTI IS THE BEST TOOL FOR CONCRETE AND FESTOOL FOR WOODWORKING
Who can afford or should I say justify Festiol,? I guess maybe a professional furniture or cabinet maker. I look at their prices and I'm shocked. And I don't usually complain about prices.
@@dangrimes5078 - I like Milwaukee for most stuff and I also have some DeWalt as well but when it comes to sanders Festool is hands down the best, I believe they have around 15 different types of sanders, i have 5 of their sanders.
@@truthserum9157 I find that Milwaukee and DeWalt are both excellent. I am actually a machinist though. I like to build things but I'm only an amateur when it comes to carpentry.
Hilti. Una super. Herramienta. Me. Gusta. Y. Milwoke. Me. Gusta. Mucho ..le. Doy. 2. Lugar
your favorite? Hilti or Milwaukee?
I use the HILTI for Hamer drills. If I need to use an impact driver, I use the Dewalt. I have a favorite tool per brand
👍
I don't like the electronic torque function of the Milwaukee. I prefer the old clutch type.
The gen 4 has the old kind of clutch. They droped the electronic one in the new gens
Yep. Glad they changed it back. Lots of people didn’t like it on the dewalt or Milwaukee. But some people did like it.
I’ve always rated both the Hilti and Milwaukee. The handle of the new gen 4 isn’t good.
Gen 4 vs 999?
998 is more powerful than the 999 based on my testings at work
will do, I ado want to pick up the power detect as well.
@@kbtools9641 yeah but Lowes kinda barley exists in Canada lmao

Hello from Romania.
In my opinion Hilti lose cuz they don't sell to regular person, they sell to companies only.
try with flex
that video will be coming up
Unfortunately flex are not real tools lmao
@@jwanilpatel3223how so?
I'll like when u said (time)
Without having a control to determine the force applied this is kinda impossible to use as a real effective comparison. A human will have a varied technique based on your bias . It’s not something intentionally done but it’s impossible to accurately measure the difference without a controlled experiment
you do know that these are supposed to be fun videos to watch. Reality is, it doesnt matter if a tool loses or wins. Even Ryobi tools a very powerful compared to how they were in the past. Entertainment!
Last note. In every versus video people say im bias. Doesnt matter what brand. If their favorite brand loses, im bias towards the brand that won.
@ManCaverTools you know humans are also biased to calling out bias in experiments based on their attitudes towards the topic or presenter
