So it's a song from Rein to her children and the Skydom in general, while barely holding on to her sense of self from Versusia's power... Yep, this is 100% Granblue.
@@maxjpz it sounds more like a mix of both rein's and versusia's perspectives, especially the last verse where it sounds like versusia lamenting the state of the skies and how it is her duty to destroy it and recreate it, despite her love for those that live in it.
Boss versusia (arcade mode after illustration) - Health and super auto-regen - defense stays intact despite losing brave stocks - all of her skills even with meter burns are considered as auto follow-ups
Tsutomu Narita and Stella Magna are probably in the top 3 of best video game music composers in a while. Along with Yasunori Nishiki (Octopath Traveler composer) who funnily enough, also made some of the GBVS tracks. Another nice detail, is that the lyrics for this were written by Tetsuya Fukuhara itself, the Granblue Fantasy franchise creative director
AFAIK Stella Magna is the (in-house?) music circle created for covering and producing GBF tracks. Narita is a legend and has been churning out some of the best jrpg music in the entire industry for GBF for a full decade now. Man has no right being trapped in a browser gacha but he's also an avid player and I can only imagine they are feeding him well. One of my favorites, not sure if it's Narita, but the game's music is unreal anyway ruclips.net/video/iH4jOy06AkQ/видео.htmlsi=zqm6HWlex8HN_vSU
Me, P2 side: "So this is what you have become, Mother of the Singularity. If your children are not here to put you to rest.... I shall do it myself!" Me, P1 side: "Even with your created existence, you're still the proud mother of the singularity. And now, just consider your job.... is finished."
I know nothing about Granblue lore at all. All I've taken from her intro and outro interaction's is that she's sorta the Zamasu of the game? Can any lore heads tell me if that's right or wrong?
This is from the wiki. Rein: Gran and Djeeta met this strange girl on Zinkenstill, where she pleaded her way onto the Grandcypher. She was hoping to reunite with Beelzebub, who had taken something important of hers. Eventually her true identity is revealed to be the mother of Gran and Djeeta. Shrine-maiden to a dragon deity, Rein was sent by her god through time and space to Gran's dimension, where she is to uproot the chaos consuming the skies. The Versus Core originally belonged to her, and when Lucilius threatens the lives of her children, she sacrifices her mind to it, transforming into the god-weapon Versusia. Versusia: Versusia is an amalgamation of the divine and mortal-the god of destruction manifested in Human flesh, indifferent to the Sky Realm and the lives that dwell within. Her purpose is clear: to reset a world plagued by distortions. Those who would defy her are met with a destructive fate as she mercilessly purges all who stand in her path. Bio: In actuality, Rein is the time-displaced, long-lost mother of both Gran and Djeeta. She was originally a priestess of Bahamut, eventually developing a strong enough spiritual link with the dragon's destructive half to the point where she was selected as a vessel for its will. Her true identity is that of Versusia, a divine guardian who serves directly as an emissary of the dragon god, eliminating any threats and irregularities to the world her master wishes to maintain. Due to the whims of Lucilius, Belial, and Beelzebub, she ended up split into two halves: the Versus Core and a reincarnation of her old human self, albeit changed due to her link to Bahamut. Her manifestation as Rein is in itself an irregularity, purposefully orchestrated in order to keep Sandalphon, the Supreme Primarch, from opposing Lucilius's plan. She joins the crew of the Grandcypher in order to retrieve the other half of herself from Beelzebub.
Side note Rein/Versusia is exclusive character for granblue fantasy versus rising she is not in the mobile game aka the original game. Also i believe gbfvr takes place in a different universe/dimension so the events going on thr shouldn't be cannon. Tho I rmb some ppl saying that lucilius (the one we see in versus rising) might be the one we see from the mobile game. Edit: I could be wrong about it not being cannon

English:
Far in the distance
A sky adorned in azure
I gaze knowing well their burden
Alone in my silent sorrow, I weep
Beloved children
We shall be reunited
I wait in time's forlorn prison
Visions of destruction blind me
They consume me again
Spirals of chaos cease turning forevermore
Night yields to dawn-at last the skies clear
Light from the heavens shines upon this weary world
Follow the path it reveals
You who dwell in the sky
La, la-la-la-la, la, la-la-la-la-la-la-,
La, la-la-la-la-la, la, la-la-la-la-la-la...

Light from the heavens shines upon this weary world
Bask in it, be resplendent
You who dwell in the sky
Beloved skydwellers...

ArcSys never misses when it comes to making cool female boss characters.
Tbf it's at least 50/50 with Cygames. They're the ones in charge of character designs

She's basically the manifestation of God in human form
