I don't see it mentioned anywhere with this video but ... churches can apply for free access to the Canva Pro version. Canva makes their service available to registered charities for free. You're not stuck with their "free" version when you want the "pro" option.
I am just getting started and would love an in depth beginners tutorial on Canva. I was thinking about going with Gimp, but my Church's A/V director suggested that I check out Canva. I am most interested in creating lower thirds for use with our ATEM Mini Extreme ISO.
Canva is definitely more suited for very simple motion graphics that appear on something like a video announcement bulletin screen. For Lower third animations, try Jitter (Jitter.video) as a first step. They have a free trial that you should be able to create all of your lower thirds from and then cancel if you don't want to continue the membership. Alternatively lower thirds are generally referred to as "motion graphic templates" for things like premiere pro and after effects. you can search for these and find all sorts of them for sale and fully editable. -David
I'm very interested in the announcement idea with creation/editing and video integration. Hope that comes to fruition! I subscribed today. Thank you for your review and introduction to Canva!
