If you know MMM then you know just how brilliant they are but this really does raise the bar with some powerful, emotion filled vocals! They are INCREDIBLE!

I recommended this song because I find that most K-pop, as much as I may enjoy it, isn't very deep. Even when it is beyond the usual scope, it's not genuinely emotional because it often lacks a personal connection to the artist. So this song's special meaning to Mamamoo and Moomoos, as well as their stunning, emotional vocals, makes it stand out in a way that only a handful of songs do.
Side notes: "Never letting go" is a special phrase for Mamamoo and Moomoos. From what I understand, Moomoos held up signs that said this at Solar's birthday. This touched her so much that they wrote it into the fan song "I Love You Too" - which she, Byul, and Hwasa contributed to. I'm sure that's why it was included in the lyrics here too.
Wheein and Hwasa have been best friends since middle school. I think having them sing together at the end, especially with 'the two of us shared the same dream' is especially poignant.
Purple Hawke's guides are the most well known (and very well done) guides to MMM. For some reason, they aren't on that person's site anymore, but other people have reuploaded them.
And I'm kind of sorry for making you almost cry😅 But also not cause I'm happy to see a song that touched me reach someone else too. 😁Thank you for watching it!
That's actually so lovely! Like genuinely heartwarming! I am so glad you picked this one!! And I love that it has a special meaning to MMM and MooMoos! And yeah their INCREDIBLE vocals really do make this stand out. IT'S IN THE PLAYLIST!
Ah I didn't catch that, but that is really adorable that MooMoos held up signs that said it at Solar's birthday!
Wheein and Hwasa being friends for forever and a day and then joining the same group is just meant to be! I love that so much. It really does make it way more poignant
Thanks for suggesting this epic ballad which in my personal opinion is unfairly overlooked by many. I know this is a fan-serving song, but nevertheless the overall quality is undeniable top notch.

The feels, right?
I'd saved this song for way way later, to make it worse! Just imagine having seen everything by Mamamoo, fearing the seven year curse, then an ot4 comeback after lots of solo stuff and this song. I was 100% sure it was a farewell song, so sad 😭. Even icecream can make one cry (reference to the end of Wind flower).
Definitely you should watch I love too (Never letting go)

Maybe watch I miss you first? There was an awesome live, either Queendom or a 4 seasons concert?
Paint me is also an awesome ballad, can't choose between live and the MV...
@Rowan which would you choose? Maybe this one?

Not plotting to make you cry, just nice songs...
Great request. Rather than Never Letting Go being a message for Solar's birthday it was at an early, if not their first fan meet. While MMM was singing Love Lane moomoos held up signs reading Never Letting Go, which made them dissolve in tears. You'll find it if you search for Love Lane live. The way I heard it is that Solar responded by posting a poem to moomoos on the fan cafe that they turned into the fan song I Love Too (aka I Love You Too or Never Letting Go, which is the title in Korean) with rap verses by Moonbyul & Hwasa. 😂
@@kudgeond755 Nooo, reddit betrayed me! I knew it was from a fan's sign, but not where it happened, exactly. Thanks for clearing that up!
song is about their 7 year journey together
Thank you for letting me know :) it's so beautiful!
For me this is the pinnacle of MMM.
I love that, it is SO GOOD!! Cannot wait to check out more of their discography
That was your first Mamamoo reaction. Wow! Way to dive into the deep end. I recommend all their songs. They are criminally underrated.
Haha well it was Rowan's suggestion so I was more than happy to dive off the deep end XD Ok we shall do all their songs then XDD
also a lot of the moomoos thought this felt like a disband song as at the time, wheein had not resigned the contract. The members said it was difficult period for all of them during that phases of WAW
I bet, it must have been really tough for them! You can really feel it in the emotions they pour into the song and the lyrics! And I can totally see where it would sound like a disband song! Thankfully though, as I understand it, they still get to do things as MMM despite Wheein with another company so that's good!
This song is a vocal masterpiece and an emotional wrecking ball and was my pick for 2021 SOTY, tho as often happens with Mamamoo's best vocal songs it didn't do well on the charts or earn the girls a music show win.
Nice observation that we see each of them individually during the opening scenes. That's a typical format for a MMM MV, esp during the 4 Seasons project, the concept being that we get each member's personal take on the theme and emotions of the song and then at the end we see them together. There's symbolic imagery in each solo and group scene. For example when they move to the group there's the shot from above when they're standing in a formation that looks like an upside down and backwards 7 or an unfinished 4 or both (which is my opinion). I interpret it as signifying that 7 years have passed but the 4 of them aren't done yet. Then the scene shifts to the shot in the field with the searchlights around them shining into the sky. I think the lights represent moomoos, who have always surrounded them with love, support and encouragement, just like they've lifted our spirits to the heavens with their gorgeous music.
Purple Hawke's two part Introducing Mamamoo is the gold standard of MMM guide videos but it came out several years ago. There's also a newer two part guide by Moo YT that's more up to date and is based on Purple Hawke's.
I actually think it is criminal that sometimes vocal masterpieces don't get the recognition they deserve!
Thanks! That's actually made me quite happy haha and good to know that it's a format of theirs!
Omo! I love your explanation here of the symbolic imagery that is amazing! I now need to go back and check it out! And I LOVE the moomoos surrounding them bit I can totally get that now you have said it!!
Ok PH or Moo YT I shall have a goosie gander and then pick one to watch XD Thank you so much!
During the Mamamoo doco, one of them said that there are so many people around them pulling and pushing in different directions it's hard for them to get together. In an interview Hwasa said "I miss WheeIn", I got to say it made me a little emotional.
That really hits differently Hwasa saying that especially as they've been friends for so long! That's so sad
as much as i love other groups now, mamamoo will always have a special place in my heart. their vocals are just beyond compare, and their song “I Miss You” really shows off their skill as well.
some of my other favourites include “Wind Flower,” “HIP,” and “Decalcomanie.” 🥰
They're amazing aren't they?! I will definitely try and make sure to check those out in the future!
@@atgnireactions5343 that would be awesome! their Dingo Killing Voice live performance has a mix of many of their hits over the years, if you’d like to check that out too !
Mamamoo are my ult gg with Hwasa as my bias.
Great reaction. I always worry when suggesting this song to new moomoos whether they will "get" it. But you definitely did.
WAW was released on 2 june and on 11 june RBW released the news that 3 members renewed their contract and that Wheein would leave RBW (but continue as Mamamoo). So at the time fans saw the 7-year-curse approaching and then to hear this song... Emotional indeed.
Oh wow that's crazy!! It was such a shame Wheein left the company but actually I think it was a great move for her! And yeah this is extremely emotional! Thank you for watching CC!
Pls do more mamamoo reactions plsss , words dont come easy and my star pls
We most certainly will!
I love this song! I'm not a massive fan of this group due to preference, style, and have a hard time connecting with the music however, this is my absolute favorite song in their entire discography! Love the song and the meaning behind it had me emotional. It was Weein's angelic voice that got me hooked but all sound incredible.
Wheein's voice is absolutely angelic and could hook anyone imo! You can't not love their vocals they're all amazing!
Please react "Rumble - G" Monster (cover). The original song is from Red velvet. Rumble -G made a cover of vocals and dance moves.
I shall add it to the list!
@@atgnireactions5343 Thank you ❣️
React to where we now live version 😭😭😍😍
I shall add it to the list to check out!
