@@ObristPlayep i take your point. Two different meanings for the same word. The music, though, gives a chilled atmosphere. I know what you are referring to, but I don’t think it applies very well here
Haha, I just found that the word chilling is absolutely different to chill or chill out. But thanks for reminding me of that!! Thankfully it's actually only making a fool of myself on the internet. I will leave the chilling there and hopefully people read the comment would take a lesson with this. xx

I remember going up to the Peak at night just like this back in 1988, my first time to visit HK. Took a walk around up there and came across an abandoned building called "The Peak mansions". Being a curious fellow, I went up to the entrance double doors to peep inside the darkened building, as I almost got my face to the glass the doors jumped out at me with great force. There was a massive chain and padlock closing the handles but the whole thing moved just in one instant. Scared the hell out of me, I walked away fast and did not look back, my hair stood up Hehe. Never forgot that moment.
Thank you for this. I've been to HK three times, loved every moment. Now travel restrictions have eased I feel the need to re-visit again. Hope that more will be shared of Kowloon Park, the Dragons back and the new Wetlands. Cheers
I miss HongKong so much, came to youtube and found your video.. took back the memories, I am currently now in the US and I miss hk so much..I got married in hk and both my kids are born in hk.. hopefully one day we can visit
Love the intro in Finland, I've never been, but would like to visit someday, looks peaceful and serene there. I've been in HK for 2 yrs, but originally from London. Glad you've found your happiness here, my happiness is more in London - it's the beautiful brick houses, the humor, the character, the history and Wimbledon, which only gets better on a late summers day. God Bless you😊
I would actually recommend Tampere then. It's called Manse or the "Manchester of Finland" because it has a lot of old brick industrial buildings next to the rapids that flow through the center. It's not as big as Helsinki but it has a student city vice and ranked as the most popular town by Finns. It's the largest inland city in the Nordics and has great vista points and observation decks over the Finnish lake lands.
Going through a very stressful and anxious time at the moment. Came across this video by chance and just wanted to thank you for making such a calming and interesting video. Wish you all the best in your new life in Hong Kong 🙂
Nice! No idea why youtube suggested this video but I'm from Canada, living in Hong Kong. Welcome to Hong Kong, hope you will make this your forever home!
Don't worry about the language. A lot of Westerners have been living here for decades and still unable to speaking Cantonese, and they live.😅 But if you want to have some connections with local society, learning Cantonese is definitely the fastest way to go.
I live and work in HK for 4 and half years now. Over this 4 years a lot of going and happening in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong today is no long the Hong Kong i knew. … is time for me to pack and head south. Hope you have a great time here take care and Cheers!
I'm a British Born Chinese who moved to Hong Kong five years ago after Brexit. I'm so glad to be here. I think with every story there are two sides and sadly only one side is being told by the media. It is a safe, beautiful city which is very accessible and opportunities. I have quite a few local friends who went to the UK who have now realised the UK is even worse and with some of the new laws that are being introduced make it less free than here in Hong Kong. The grass is always greener I guess.
Stumbled across your vlogs today. I love the spiritual and care free vibe about them. I was totally immersed into your stories. Look forward for more in the future. Best of luck in your stay in HK. Cheers.
This has been my dream since I was in my teens, to live and be immersed in Hong Kong life. Too late to do that now but I can see it through your eyes. Beautiful and brings back all the reasons why I would have liked to live there.
Hello there, good video, brings back a lot of memories since I was born in HK and living in the USA now, toward the end of the video you took the tram to the peak. There is a cheaper alternative, take bus#15 by Star Ferry terminal (HK side). I think after you come out of the SF terminal, turn right, and walk a block or 2 and that's the bus#15 terminal. It will take you to the Peak through winding and narrow roads but you can still get a great view and see where rich people live in HK. Also, when riding the bus in HK, if available, take the front seat on the upper deck. You will have the driver's view and side window view too.
Can’t quite figure out why I like the vibe of this daily vlog soooo muuuuuch!! Glad to one fits in with their own rhythm. Btw, that’s a cute green little water bottle
Hi Daomi, just came across this video of yours by chance and for the first time. It's a real breeze to the hustle bustle lifestyle of HK. I was born and raised in HK, educated in "London" (South Ken to be precise) till my PhD, have visited "Helsinki" four times (mostly for conferences) and almost joint your "Aalto University" (as a design professor). I am also an (EMBA) alumnus of "CUHK", had a property in "Laguna Verde" in Whampoa (thus always lunched, had tea and dined in the Fisherman's Wharf) and above "Lee Tung Street" in Wanchai. Thanks for the video, it's such a flashback to me and touches so many good memories of mine. Will watch more...Take care.
Great Vlog! I’m very surprised you didn’t catch any 鹹濕佬 (ham sup lo) in your video. HK/China is known for many ham sup lo’s in the streets. It’s a chinese term to describe a horny man; direct chinese to english translation is salty wet man. 😂😂😂 My conclusion is that you probably go out quite early so they’re not awake yet. Anyhow it’s a really good vlog & great choice of music. Other foreigners should also note that they’ll get a lot of attention/ppl staring at them cause that’s just how hong kongers are. Nothing bad but just a FYI for those who don’t like the attention.
As a local, I really appreciate that you shared our love towards Hong Kong in a different angle. We are saying goodbyes more than ever before to those moving aboard, it is indeed overwhelmed to see someone showed a reason, even the slightest, for us to stay at our home.
Thank you for the video. I have moved to NY and currently live in the suburb area. I would say the living style here is completely different than in Hong Kong. It does have its up and downs but its still a blessing to live in a foreign city especially when u re young.
Thank you for the video. Slowing down the pace this vlog is just so relaxing. Living in this city but this is a whole new take on looking at the life out here. Superb please keep posting.
Coming to HK was my childhood dream... Fast forward now, accomplished career, family settled down, I grew so negative about this city I called home for the past 20 years. Your video reminded me of the trivial sides which make HK a good place to be afterall. Tks for the positive vibes
It was my childhood dream too and I came here 35 years ago. I too have seen the city at its best - one of the greatest cities the world has ever known and I find it so sad to see the city now at its worst with incompetent people in charge and medical apartheid being forced on us. It is also probably the only place in the world where people are still forced to wear masks. The positive side is still the good weather and amazing countryside and generally low crime, so it’s not all bad but such a pity those in charge don’t have the vision to bring the city back to it’s true potential.
Enjoyed! I was in HK November 2019... hope to return visit when the opening is complete. Thanks! ...ps. trying Dragon fruit for the first time because of your intro... finding it in California may be a train trip to Korea Town in L.A. ☺

A nice vlog with a pretty girl. I have lived in Hong Kong over four years, which is a city combing the eastern and western styles. Hope you have a nice day in HK.
As a local HKer who still lives here, your chill vlog makes me seeing this place with a different angle and pace, and kind of rediscovering the beauty of this place. Thank you. Enjoy your stay here. Saw you reading law book? We are in the same industry then! Do get a little bit more cautious if you go to Sham Shui Po area next time if at night.

I like very much your blog, you did not make any comment, just let the video do the talking, glad you like Hong Kong, I was from Hong Kong and now live in Canada. Enjoy your stay.
Since you went to Kennedy town, there is a fishing spot when you go towards the road to cyberport. The evening sundown looks great from there. It is 25 mins walk from Kennedy town MTR exit.
Welcome to HK and glad to hear you've settled and feeling home here. Please do more videos like this to showcase where you've been, what you tried, etc. It's a really nice video and happy to see you're enjoying yourself!
Glad you’re enjoying HK, I was born there and have moved to the US and occasionally go back to visit friends and family. One thing I cannot get use to in HK is the humidity 😓 but plenty of great food and sights.
You should also try the red type of dragon fruit. Also, a HK specialty is iced HK milk tea with a freshly baked pineapple bun or egg tart. Love to see more great videos from an expats point of view of HK. 😀

Welcome to HK! Highly recommend u explore the other side of HK (the nature, all the hiking trails, beaches etc.) beside the hustle and bustle in the city!!
Thanks for the very nice video. Hope you will stay as long as you enjoy it there . I grew up there but have moved to the US and then Canada decades ago.

Thanks for sharing the blog. It is so grateful to know it’s attractiveness in my hometown. Looking forward to seeing more vlogs. Keep it up!
Great Vlog! A warm welcome from a Hong Konger. Thanks for showing the relaxing moody side of HK!
I'm in Bangkok and got t suggested too
Don't worry about the language. A lot of Westerners have been living here for decades and still unable to speaking Cantonese, and they live.😅 But if you want to have some connections with local society, learning Cantonese is definitely the fastest way to go.
Anyhow I think this vlog definitely took your channel to another level and we’re looking forward to more content. 👍
Cheers.
Love your pace, love your taste! The way you enjoy your life inspires me so much!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful Hong Kong life! I missed Hong Kong and the lovely harbour view!
Love the way u love HK❤ Make me learn to appreciate every tiny bit of life
Thanks for this. Born and spent a few years of my early years in HK, this is a way for me to take a peak in the city while being overseas
Will watch more...Take care.
these are the places I use to visit when I staying alone in HK before Covid ....great memories. Thanks for sharing, enjoy yourself and all the best
Great Vlog! I’m very surprised you didn’t catch any 鹹濕佬 (ham sup lo) in your video. HK/China is known for many ham sup lo’s in the streets. It’s a chinese term to describe a horny man; direct chinese to english translation is salty wet man. 😂😂😂
My conclusion is that you probably go out quite early so they’re not awake yet.
The positive side is still the good weather and amazing countryside and generally low crime, so it’s not all bad but such a pity those in charge don’t have the vision to bring the city back to it’s true potential.
hongkong is so pretty, especially at night😭i miss hk sm!! i also love the food, hongkong has the best food💛
Enjoyed! I was in HK November 2019... hope to return visit when the opening is complete. Thanks! ...ps. trying Dragon fruit for the first time because of your intro... finding it in California may be a train trip to Korea Town in L.A. ☺
Enjoyed watching. Your routine is so identical to my 16 year old daughter in Australia). From the oates and dragon fruit, studying, pilates etc. You make me want to visit Hong Kong again. Enjoy your time there and best of luck on your journey!
ahhhhh can’t wait to visit you there !! so magical ❤️
A nice vlog with a pretty girl. I have lived in Hong Kong over four years, which is a city combing the eastern and western styles. Hope you have a nice day in HK.
Glad you like our traditional buns and milk tea! All the best in studies and living in HK.
The video editing and the selection of music are so awesome. You got yourself another subscriber. :)
Just came back from HK last week, hadn't been back since 3 years due to the pandemic, Been to many cities, and countries, but like HK there is nothing. Best place EVER!!
Hong Kong is one place people should all visit lived there for 16 years and been in the UK for 3 and I always miss the culture and everything there
I like very much your blog, you did not make any comment, just let the video do the talking, glad you like Hong Kong, I was from Hong Kong and now live in Canada. Enjoy your stay.
it is quite relaxing when I watch your vlog, thanks for showing another livestyle for local citizens.
Since you went to Kennedy town, there is a fishing spot when you go towards the road to cyberport. The evening sundown looks great from there. It is 25 mins walk from Kennedy town MTR exit.
Hyvää päivää! Your vlog actually reminded me of my half-year in Helsinki! Great vibe, love it !! :)
Welcome to HK and glad to hear you've settled and feeling home here. Please do more videos like this to showcase where you've been, what you tried, etc. It's a really nice video and happy to see you're enjoying yourself!
I have never been to Hong Kong and I will move to Hong Kong next month from New York City. This video gives me desire of going there :)
Glad you’re enjoying HK, I was born there and have moved to the US and occasionally go back to visit friends and family. One thing I cannot get use to in HK is the humidity 😓 but plenty of great food and sights.
Beautifully made vlog. Also that Kimono dress is stunning
I've been living here for 10 years and I still love HK.
Welcome to Hong Kong, hope you enjoy staying here ^^
You should also try the red type of dragon fruit. Also, a HK specialty is iced HK milk tea with a freshly baked pineapple bun or egg tart. Love to see more great videos from an expats point of view of HK. 😀
Thank you. Interresting. Well done! I was in Hong Kong in january. One night only. Nice to see it again.
This made me happy with a tinge off sadness, been to hk 3 times for holidays but probably won’t ever make it back . Safest place I ever been too , that was my feelings anyway . That Ferris wheel been on that an many more attractions, such a wonderful place an thanks for rekindling those memories
I was there last November, A lot have changed since I visited couple years ago. The city changing and growing. I think the M+ in west kowloon is a MUST-check out place. enjoy
As a pro-HongKonger left 30 years ago, I don't feel it excited any more even I visited HK every after years. I am glad you found the beautiful side of Hong Kong. Enjoy your life in HK.
Welcome to HK! Highly recommend u explore the other side of HK (the nature, all the hiking trails, beaches etc.) beside the hustle and bustle in the city!!
It’s so relaxing to watch this video. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, such a calm video, well done. HK is amazing.

Thank you for remainding me my homeland. I was born worked in Hong Kong and currently stay in Taipei. I suggest that you can ask your Hongkonger friends to take you to traditional Hong Kong Restaurant to eat egg tart(蛋塔) and drink the milk tea, which is very good.
