Evidently the video is about how delicate relationships are, how they "hang by a thread" , how the world can easily get in the way and break them, how you can lose the things you have in advance thrown away right when you've started to appreciate them, which is the main idea of the video, i think. the concept is very strong + i think it is conveyed in a very minimalistic way, but yet full of beauty.

And to understand the music, it takes more than listening to the songs and watching the MVs. It's imperative that you "feel" the lyrics, emotion, and music. Then and only then you will understand his work. Listen to the lyrics closely and at the same time interpret the symbols. It's not "what you see is what you get". There's always a "grey" side in Rice's work.
