I think it's very important to have your children in the kitchen with you. I have had my God daughter help me bake since she was barely two. I have found a guild to help me learn the in and outs of sewing. I also don't have to invest a ton of money at first. You inspired me.
I remember sitting on the floor next to my mother while she used her sewing machine when I was little. I wish I had asked her to teach me. I think it's so fantastic that you can make your own clothes. You also have such a lovely workspace for sewing.❤
The sounds in the background of baby girl was just too precious!🥰 The dress turned out as pretty looks really good on you too! I think you're drying am amazing job on your sewing! Thanks for sharing, hope you have a blessed week!🙏🏻
so cute!! I have sewed since I was a young girl and I feel like it gave me so much confidense in many areas of life! That I could make something myself and wear it was an amazing feeling! I also crochet and I am obsessed with crochet projects galore!! These hobbies kept me busy and not in need of looking elsewhere for entertainment..
Your dress turned out beautifully! And as for your pasta dish, looked so delicious! I can understand why your husband would want to eat it often! Thank you for inspiring me to try different things! I’m retiring the end of next month and I want to take up sewing again. It’s been years since I’ve sewed ( haven’t been since middle school) and I want to try it again. Might look up beginner instructions on line or local sewing shop.
Hearing your sweet daughter in the background brought back so many memories! We had 4 babies in 7 years and it was so fun! I also taught myself to sew and gained more confidence with each garment. I intentionally would choose patterns with designs I hadn’t sewn before or I would hack 2 patterns to challenge myself. That was 50 years ago! You’re doing a good job as a homemaker and a mom and I really enjoy watching your videos! I notice your thread holder on the right of your machine. Does the thread go from that stand on to the machine and then is threaded like any other thread? I have so many cones of thread that I’d like to start using!
The audio of your little one babbling in the background was adorable! 😊 We also love our learning tower, but the features of this one are fantastic - it looks so useful. Lastly, beautiful job on the dress!
Thank you for the toddler tower link! Just ordered one for our 2 year old! Had another saved in my Amazon lists for future purchase, but this price was too good to pass up. Will love having my daughter in the kitchen with me more!
The dress is beautiful! I rarely use buttons anymore but if I do I sew them on with my machine. All you do is disengage the feeder foot and adjust your zigzag to fit the hole in your button then sew very slow until you see your perfectly lined up , finish with a few straight stitches in one hole to knot .
I am so amazed at the great progress you’ve made this year in your dressmaking skills! The dress looks so cute on you; great job. Di from Massachusetts ❤
soooo cute! My Mom made my prom dresses,,,lots of clothes and doll and barbie and troll clothes,,,marble bags too!!!! Someday you will be making your daughter a wedding dress
That was a beautiful dress. It looked like it was bought at a very nice store. When I used to try to sew my clothes really did look homemade not very well put together at all. Unlike you, I quit trying. Way to go!!
I guess the Good Lord sent you to me in this movie...! I'm thinking about when you say taking on challenges. I have an anxiety disorder. I guess it's always been... Currently, my condition is quite good, but I still have problems with taking up challenges. I hope that what you're saying will stay with me and something will start to change in my behavior.
@@megs1966 buck up buttercup !! That is not rude, it is honest. Rude would be no compliment on the material and you look like 12 years old or shirley temple. That's rude, now reread the comment .
@@chelsealangston22 have you ever thought for a minute about being helpful ? This dear girl is on all of utube and the world to see. maybe it would help her to know the opinion of older classy ladies or maybe not. i said it nicely and stand by my nicely said opinion. it's a top! if she bends over more would show than she wants to show , right ? HELPFUL , try it but be sure and say it in a spirit of helpfulness. my girls, now 50 and 46 once told me my pants were highwaters. I didn't know they were too short for my 5'9" person but was very glad to hear it and bought talls from that day forward.
Absolutely adorable...looks fabulous on you! Color choice amazing too! As always, "thank you for sharing".
Thank you so much! :)
Your daughter's voice is so cute.
I like the dress but it seems a bit short.
More on a tunic length.
Looks more like a tunic than a dress......
Watching the video back, it looks shorter there than in real life 😆 not sure why.
Adorable dress. I am 76 and you still encourage and inspire me!
That makes me happy!
I love your channel ❤ I am 71 years old and parts of your kitchen remind me of my first kitchen in our first home in the 1970's 😊
Wow, thank you!
Love the dress now to make a mini one for your daughter 💕
Ooo yes I do!
What an adorable dress! The fabric was perfect for this dress and the buttons were spot on. So cute!
Thank you! 😊

Love your dress! So cute. I like to sew but just haven’t made the time. Watching you sewing is an inspiration to pick it up again.
You can do it!

How do you print out your pdf patterns? My printer isn’t big enough. Do you print them then tape the pieces together?
I usually try to get them done at a local print shop

Thank you so much!! I've had my fair share of very homemade looking dresses 😆

Like the dress 👗
Thanks!

cute but it is a top. Either 6 inches longer or some pants would look much classier . love the material and buttons !!
How rude

We teach our 3 and 5 year old they don’t need to share their honest opinions that could cause others to be unnecessarily hurt

@chelsealangston22 ... And that's why we are so divided. We think about the other person's feeling so much WE have lost our voice.
