What’s stopping parliament from introducing a bill to limit or bar presidents and all public officials from accepting or receiving gifts. If gifts reach certain amount it must be disclosed and also taxes be levied on it. Also, political parties must also declare their source of funding and must not be allowed to accept funding from interest groups. No serious country allows what we allow in Gambia. The issue of security, I agree with Sabally. The morales of them men are at the lowest lows. TRRC contributed a lot to that. Paraded uniform men and humiliate them on tv. There’s a reason why men in uniform are tried in county marshals different from civilians courts. It made no sense to parade fully uniform men at TRRC as criminals. You should’ve known better.
