Always make sure your car is maintained well before going into the back roads. Make sure you have some tools with you. Carry foods and plenty of water in case you get stranded for a day or two. Always tell someone you know where you are going and when you are planning to be back. Be ready to walk for miles back into someone that can help you. Always have the means to pay a high bill to a tow truck to go get you out on the back roads. If not is best to avoid the back roads.
