Ghena's singing is breathtaking, whenever she sings she sounds so effortless, still giving an avalanche of sound. This rendition is one more example of her unique voice - in the middle range where most of sopranos push their larynx to the limit to give big dark sound, she hardly opens her mouth in such a natural way and gives sound bigger than a hall, from outside it looks so easy as she would speak not sing.
Profoundly true as authentic singing is an artistic way of speaking! The question that remains is how she managed to do it AFTER 30 YEARS of singing!
Glorious. Ghena only became firmer and stronger as she got older.

What a Diva!
It's amazing how much expressiveness and drama she can convey through her voice alone (and this is in her declining years!), even if her acting skills with her face and gestures are not particularly excellent. It's all in her voice and powerfully transmitted through the nuances as well as the power of her singing. She was a bit like Sutherland, and Tebaldi in that regard, the singing carries a lot of feeling, you just have to open your ears to be moved by the emotion that is built into the music and flows from the voice.
Quante emozioni in Arena con questa grande cantante! Anche qui da prova di interprete di classe...

Что случилось с миром? Если послушать сегодня кто поёт в опере,такое впечатление,что туда определили весь дом инвалидов. Что внешне что вокально. Куда подевались такие певцы? Им просто нет места среди бездарностей,которые прут из всех щелей.
