When I was at school one of my teachers who was in his late 50s and went to school in the 60s and 70s said back then school gyms had boxing rings and if two people had beef the teacher said go in the ring and settle it and regardless of what happened the teacher would make them shake hands at the end and go their separate ways

I was bullied in high school too. What the bullies didn't know was I was a boxer. When I was about fourteen years old a tough kid challenged me to a fight in the smoke hole. Big mistake. I beat the hell out of him for a solid 45 minutes. Wish I still had that stamina. Another guy a couple of years later picked on me and I knocked him cold. I went on to box in college. By the time I was 19 years old at 147 pounds I could knock out a man in one punch. Big guys were scared to death of me. I never bullied anyone but I never backed down after I started to fight back. I'm 67 years old now. Boxing saved my life, not just because I knew how to fight but it gave me the confidence to handle any situation life can throw at you. I commend you for your courage and your boxing ability and determination. You're a good kid. Stay that way and follow your dreams. From Oklahoma, USA....good on ya mate!

Win, lose or draw, outside a land war the most courageous thing a man will do is walk from that dressing room to the ring and step through the ropes. That's courage. It has given me a winner's heart all my life. I hope the same for you.

Used to get bullied by my mums boyfriend, until I started Wrestling training in my early 20's, one night, my mum was starting an argument, and as per usual he wanted to be the big white knight in shining armour to her, so he tried his luck once again......once to often in my eyes, and suddenly I saw red, and it was me on top of him throwing the punches and not the other way round, for once, it was my mum trying to pull me off of him instead of the other way round. So I get you bud............these idiots carry on, and yet they never know when the tables have turned do they, to me violence solves nothing, but sometimes you got to give it just how you get it, and when they don't like it......well hopefully now they've learned.......some people don't unfortunately, but still makes you feel better and more confident about yourself :-)
