My favorite way for depotting is putting the palette on top of a pot of boiling water and letting the steam melt the glue then taking the packaging apart and getting the shadows out that way.

Is Melt's matte formula usually dry? I only have She's in parties and while I love the colours, I can't get the mattes to blend no matter what I try. Similar difficulties with Ace Beaute's mattes but those at least feel more buttery to the touch.
So Ace Beaute and Melt have some of my favorite mattes 😬 idk if I am the person to answer that question because idk that I would classify them as dry in the palettes I have! I will say I feel their matte formula is pretty consistent? So if you feel the she’s in parties mattes are dry you’ll probably think their other mattes are dry? Hope that’s sort of helpful! Lol
I think you’re right about the fire palette, they could have done a smokier color story and there’s a lot of variation in actual fire colors too, not just orange and red.
Are you going to sale any of your palettes on Mercari or PoshMark, and if so, what is your username or link to those? I think you were very strong and did an amazing job decluttering. Especially since you have such an amazing collection and selection of eyeshadow palettes. I have a hard time letting mine go, almost like they are real and I am hurting their feelings, lol. I have been looking at instagram and loving the palettes people are creating better than what is being offered. I am going to keep only eyeshadows I will use and get my collection down to what I only love. Kailav Honore palette was not good in my opinion, I kept 1 shade when I depotted it. I use a hair dryer to melt the glue in the pans and use a sharp knife/razor to remove the eyeshadow pan. Only certain eyeshadow palettes will not be destroyed because of packaging.
I've never tried DC shadows, hear they are pretty good. Great job on decluttering! I was surprised of sveveral. I'm not in to many colors, but I know it must be hard getting rid of some after buying them!
I agree with you that red fire sign palettes are boring- adding blue water sign palettes to that! I love blue and red but please fire and water can be so many colours anyway I love your collection! we have a lot of palettes in common lol
Could you please try to dupe the club nebula with the viseart ? I saw someone mention that it was possible (the mattes) and i would like to find out if true.

As a Leo that prefers cool tones, i hate the Fire pallete by melt. They definitely did the least with that color story. So predictable and boring, Should have added warm toned purples/pinks, like a sunrise/sunset color story.
I thought there was a hot pink shimmer based on one photo and was so excited about it!! At some point this year I’m going to make my own Aries themed color story lol
You should try doing this at a table while sitting in a chair with an overhead camera view (like BattyBean’s declutter videos). Looks more comfortable and those are my favorites declutter videos to watch. Also, the Natasha Denona mini palettes are magnetic 😁

You can also depot by using a hair dryer over the shadows to melt the glue to get the pan out.
That’s the only way I’ve tried it so far! It’s worked okay if I make sure to melt the glue all the way 😂

You did great! Is the purple in your Weirdos palette ok? A lot of people are having trouble with that purple.

My "Warms My Blood" has a shadow that dried out! 😫 I need to email the brand asap.

That’s true! I like blue eyeshadow so I am less bothered by a blue palette but you’re right there can be lots of different colors in there!
The keloids the kaleidos 6 pan palettes are magnetic so you can replace the shattered brown shade with another single from your collection 😅
True! I’ll have to see if I have a pan that would fit. I’m also okay just leaving it as is and pulling a brown in from another palette if I need to 😂
