Can't believe it's been 25 years already since I sang this at grad (class of '98). Still remember that moment like it was yesterday. 25年前の卒業式だけどこの歌のお陰で昨日のように鮮明に覚えてる。号泣してまともに歌えなかったけど。
Umi Sono Ai was our graduation song. Mr. Stenson was my music teacher in 3rd grade. Kagei sensei, I still have the TI-83 you gave to me after I lost my own. I was stunned by your generosity. I will pass both the calculator and your qualities along to my son. Thank you all, and thank you St. Mary's. Some of the best memories... - Mark Okuno, Class of '97. I heard about the soccer field. Won the championship my senior year on that ground... It may be gone, but I'm still playing today.
@@naokiminakawa5979 , I was enrolled in St. Mary's from 2nd grade through 3rd grade from 1986-1988 (both Mr. and Mrs. Stenson were teaching then), and I eventually came back to Japan and re-enrolled in St. Mary's in 6th grade, graduating HS in 1997. When I came back to Japan in 6th grade (Brother Jean-Pierre's class), Kagei-sensei was teaching the 5th grade. When I graduated HS, Kagei-sensei was the principal. Cherish the memories. 25 some years later, I can still see mine so clearly. To this day, I hang out with one of my best friends from St. Mary's several times a year, and both of our sons are best of friends as well. Life is a journey, as 'Umi Sono Ai' teaches us.
Sail with me, set sail for liberty, Ride the waves, sail the seas with me. Soft winds will blow, and make us free. Let us chart a way, to a brighter day. Though storms may come, we'll ride them out. You and I will go to find our freedom.

Hi, I'm a freshmen at St.Mary's right now. Class of 2025 and we still sing this Umi so no Ai.
Also, Mr. Kagei is our headmaster, he was a teacher? Can't believe that.

Sehr schöner und emotionaler Chorgesang.
xD sang this with Stenson at SCVA 2011. I LOVE THIS SONG!! Tennor part is bad @ss
marvellous
Sehr schöner und berührender Chorgesang, den ich schon oft angehört habe.
I was there in 2010 and heard this song
