In this video, I share the third and final part of my awesome motorcycle trip to the Peak District and Wales with my friend Lillie. We are having a girls biking holiday in these two amazing areas of the UK, and we are having the time of our lives.
In this part, we head to Wales from the Peak District to explore their roads and drink coffee.
This was the best part of our motorcycle adventure and we were sad to say goodbye to each other and to these two wonderful areas of the UK.

Excellent! My favorite piece of road, Bala to Trawsfynydd.
We experienced something similar.
We moved to a village in Bedfordshire, went to the pub and everybody went silent and stared at us.
Then after what felt like an age a chap from across the bar said hello. He was the vicar lol
Seeing a pack of wild minis in their natural habitat is pretty rare! Lucky sighting.
I could listen to your accent all day long. And I couldn't stop laughing when you said "I got to unbutton my pants.. I'm an over-sharer - deal with it!" Great stuff!! Still smiling... we've all been in this situation (the pants, I mean)...

My father suffered the same treatment when he went into pub in Wales many years ago .

There is something about “The girls outings”, you very rarely see two beautiful women, biker chicks touring around minding their own business. In that breakfast room the men was thinking one thing😛 and their wives another 😠. Can’t wait for your next exploits 👍👍

Last year me and my wife stayed in a b&b in the lakes and for a good 2 hrs someone in one of the rooms were at it very loud.At breakfast time we walked in and the same happened to us and two people even clapped but I didn't have the heart to tell them it wasn't us😂

Just watched a video by "Two Wheels And A Ponytail" A Very Beautiful and Very Crazy Dutch Lady, where she tests a cheap radio set.... 800mtr range...just stick it to your Helmet.... might be good for your little trips with Lilly..... And I am a little surprised on the poor turning circle of her "Adventure" Bike... Having watched every "Itchy boots" video, It looks like when the going gets tough you would need good steering..... Enjoyed this series, it's on roads I know well. Live near the Peaks and often ride to Bala and beyond. Making the wait for better weather and the chance to get out on the bike even harder! Come on Spring!

Hi Kate, enjoyed the video, and almost dry tarmac with you being a rain magnet, and a good point you made about UK bikes all needing heated grips as standard, as you well know on the GSA you can grill bacon on them, and I still have a pair of RST Paragon heated gloves. Really are a game changer. Thank you.

I often do that route, up past danebridge, onto the end of the cat and fiddle, towards leek then longnor, up to monyash, then back via bakewell and the cat and fiddle again. There are some terrific roads and views up there.
I've done that route a few times, I really like Monyash
@@UsernameKate It's definitely a lovely part of the world. I have ambitions to live somewhere up that way one day. Watched Ep 1, 2 and 3 now. You've done some great roads, I've done all of them at least once in the last year. The Long Hill (Whaley to Buxton road) has been a favourite since I was a teen on my YPVS350 and NC30. Great times! Can't wait until the weather improves now!

A good fun road trip,
Never lost in a round-a-bout.
Tractor tires were worrisome.
A cleaner coffee cup was desired.
I think it was TOO clean, it literally smelled like bleach haha

Heated grips and quick shifter are the 2 must haves on the Hornet.
Long time since I visited Bala as it was in my first car in the 80's. The Lake is the largest man made lake in the UK I think Kate and I remember the roads being a treat even in a car.
Rutland Water is the largest by surface area and Kielder water by capacity.

Does lily find the big bike an effort sometimes, that's takes away some of the enjoyment, as lovely as it is.. great viewing ladies... You should arrange a big ladies group ride out like Richy Vida does 🎉 put me on the list
Hey Martine! The only time I really struggled with this bike was the sharp hairpin turn at the top of the hill outside of the BnB that Kate mentions a couple of times but other than that the KTM SAS was great and not too top heavy like some other adventure bikes can be!
Stopping of at my local petrol station in Sandbach… just booked my ride out on Saturday @1.30 on the MT09..looking forward to it .
Great video really enjojed it , I ride to Bala and the surounding area most weekends if you want a really good ropad turn right on the way to Trawsfynydd alonge the B4391 to Blaenau Ffestiniog then on to Betws y Coed you will not be disapointed .I feel for you with the IBS I am a sufferer too .Ride safe

Hi Kate. Just a bit of idle chatter. I sometimes make jokes which refer to the old British comedy show “The Fast Show”. Like the “ooooh” “werrr” “ weyyy” remark below. These always seem to blow by you like a bit of tumbleweed in a desert breeze. Just realized that it’s a 90ties show so at best you were a toddler. You might still check it out though. I wouldn’t be surprized if you’d find it hilarious. “Suits you, Sir.” 😁

I loved the look of that forcefield base layer lily was wearing at breakfast so i thought I'd look it up. Unfortunately like so many these days the biggest size was X2. Were not all tiddlers that's nowhere near big enough for so many men these days, they must be missing out on so many sales.

Kate, I really wish when you mention that it chilly or hot that you’d actually tell us what the temperature is. We live in vastly different places, what’s chilly to you may not be to someone else🙂. As for your breakfast adventure, I think the place when quiet because two good look’n girls just walked in, but to top it off you were both on bikes! I know here it’s just not common to see a two girls riding together very often because more guys ride in general than girls I think🤘

Very nice video, Wales is great. Would have been nice if you could continue there and show more of roads and sights :). Btw, don’t you have massive knots in your hair in the evening? I’ve had long hair most of my life and if i forgot to tuck it in under my collar and not have an extra band lower down, it got into a very messy tangle when riding,
Cruel Summer no heated grips
This was Easter weekend and despite being bright, it wasn't hugely warm
I am fairly new to your channel, and have been enjoying the rides. I am curious about one thing though. In another video, it was obvious that you were able to communicate with Mike whilst riding, and I was wondering why you and Lilie don't have the same option, given how often you seem to ride together?
Lillie didn't want comms on this trip. I later found out it was because she wanted to listen to music and was unaware you could talk AND listen to music 🤣🤣 I just thought she couldn't be bothered with my ramblings lol

Hornet does have heated grips as an optional extra. They're also integrated into the dash so you just press the fn button to change the heat level

Oooh Kate love the road trips. I get the unbuttoning of the pants to release the bloated painful feeling of wind, but then I'm an old person. Maybe the dining room experience was because they thought you were a couple and they couldn't get their heads round a pair of lesbian bikers! Even though we all know you're not.

Not sure you can get much smaller or lighter than a hornet
