The only thing I would change is swap out your multimeter to a clamp style, I dig the snap on driver. I imagine it can drive just as hard as the other impacts but that variable trigger seems nice. Nice set up bud

I wont use a meter unless it has a clamp makes life so much easier

Nice setup! I'm diggin that snap-on screw gun. I've been missing your video's. A new baby says it all! Best wishes and thanks for the video.

Nice HVAC kit. I have been in the "hot/cold" business my whole life and learned a couple of things from your video....like the single high side gauge. All you are missing is the amp meter and not sure that you showed a service wrench with hex adapter. Just food for thought!

Thanks bud. When I need to check amperage I just go to the truck and grab my fluke clamp meter. I just find that I don’t need to do it that often. I also don’t really need a service wrench in my troubleshooting kit because if I am using a service wrench, it’s most likely a bigger repair that I use the big tool bag for. That’s where I keep those. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the comment!

I don't understand why an HVAC Tech would carry a meter than doesn't have an amp clamp.
I use mine on every call that isn't just blowing out a clogged P-Trap or filter change.

@14:50 -- apparently Milwaukee is coming out with a 'rocker-trigger' screw gun soon....I'm hoping the rumour is true.

MB2 is………..:meh. Got mine free years ago from Veto on a promo and have yet to really use it.
The MB3B is a huge improvement and you can wield a 12v impact or drill on the side. Winner Winner IMO

Great video. Thank you for posting. This is a good example of how everyone’s experience with tools is different. I absolutely hate those Klein strippers and the ChannelLock crimper. They hang in the garage now. I keep a M12 Surge with every tool bag. But I’m totally on the Milwaukee platform so it makes sense for me. I love Fluke and have 4 or 5 of their meters and also I have 5 other meters from different manufacturers. I don’t know if id say the 116 is the best ever for hvac in my opinion.

Last Christmas Home Depot had the Milwaukee Fuel Gen 3 12 V impact driver for 99 dollars . It came with a charger and one Battery. picked it up and love it . I have the Fluke 116 and it's a very good meter , but doesn't amperage . I love the Fluke 325 . Have the 902 FC , but find it a little too big .

2nd year electrician apprentice. I absolutely love the m12 surge. All my tools have been m18 until recently I caved and got the m12 surge. I’m perfectly happy with my drill, hackzall and multi tool running on the m18 but I couldn’t go back to my m18 fuel impact. Obviously i will use it in some situations but a typical day doing fixtures, receptacles , switches and fans or whatever else I’m using little surge every time. I honestly feel like the m18 fuel impact is too strong a lot of the time. No matter what you do it will cam out like hell over and over sometimes.

Im with you on using a screwgun over an impact for the troubleshoot kit. I thought I was the only one clever enough to have a magnet onboard, I had no idea a snap-on battery magnet attachment existed. I use the milwaukee 4 in 1 installation driver, its inline.grip is so comfortable once you get used to the forward and reverse button. I use the 1/4" hex collet attachment 99% of the time, but having a drill chuck, offset, and 90° angle attachment in the bag has saved me a trip to the van more than once. I have to agree with you that the best feature is the grip length magnet on the d handle. I had it maxed out with about 15-20 screws on a rtu last week. Nice set up, but I gotta have an amp clamp.

Can’t go wrong with the Milwaukee. They are great tools and I have used them for years as well. When I do need to check amperage I just grab the amp clamp from the truck. I just find that I don’t need to do it that often, and I love the way the meter I have in this bag fits and works. Thanks for watching!

You know what would also be interesting to talk about is the type of ladder you use or think is the best for getting on roofs. Also, I'm surprised you don't mention anything about sun protection. I know there are a lot of guys who use mini umbrellas.

Great setup, I absolutely love the Channellock crimpers use them basically every day in my personal tool bag, i would also highly recommend a FLUKE 325 for a clamp meter, that and the 116 are the best combo for checking any piece of equipment

I use the same clips from Fluke also, nothing compares I have found, even ESI? My meter leads are only Fluke, even though I use a high end Extech clamp meter? I'm not taking any chances working on 480V 3-phase with garbage leads, never happen?

Chinese has the ability to make some good quality stuff, i think everyone thinks if it’s American made its superior when in recent years america hasn’t had the best reputation for great quality tools
and to say veto is overpriced
when literally anything that comes out of America is more expensive
(and it’s not fair pay, you guys pay your waiters like 2 dollars an hour )
usa rebranding European tools and selling for 3x the price ( bacho )
and a little off topic but i seen new balance has some shoes that are labelled made in usa which are way more expensive but not any better
      american “made” products are overpriced
