If you'll excuse me, but may I suggest something? To me, as a blind person with highly acute ears, your vibrato is slow for me personally... only 5.5 pitch variations per second. I like vibratos 6.25 or above. Any vibrato lower than 6.25 I dislike. Just listen to people like Joyce DiDonato, Cecilia Bartoli, Laura Bretan, Cristina Deutekom, Kathleen Battle, Sabine Deviele, Emma Matthews, Hannah Lee, Abby Fischer, Denise Leigh, etc - they have good vibratos. Though I play bagpipes and not a singer... Plus, evolutionally we had faster vibratos back in the day, and a lot of people like specifically opera singers with particularly fast vibratos, not slow vibratos. The only real reason why countless people hate Laura Bretan's voice is because they simply are not used to a fast vibrato, although we can testify to her lack of training because of the lack of dexterity for a trill.
The unfortunate truth is, more and more female singers, especially vocal coaches, have and/or are advocating for a slower vibrato (e.g. only 5 pitch variations per second), which is the worst thing ever in my opinion. I mean, if the vibrato gets slow enough we will end up having singers that sound like firetrucks, and I am dead serious. So why do people find the sound of a firetruck siren likened to that of an opera singer? Makes no sense. But there are some singers who wrongly think a slow vibrato is how it's supposed to sound, and I would guess that your teacher is one of them. If anybody likes this vibrato and thinks it's an amazing vibrato, you are CRAZY! How in the world are we going to get people to stop liking this very very unhealthy siren-vibrato? In short: According to David Jones, this slow vibrato is not the healthiest vibrato. They say it's beautiful - it's actually slow. Some people say fast vibrato is a sin - no, those people are dead wrong! I'd suggest you find a way to speed your vibrato up at least naturally, since to me it's slightly on the slow side. I think a good goal is between 6.25 and above. Too many people think 5 or less is ok - they don't realize that a vibrato this slow is going to permanently damage the vocal cords and would require vocal surgery. No offense, but your vibrato could use a speed / rate boost in my opinion. If you think it's fine, well, you probably don't know what healthy vibrato sounds like, you haven't either been listening to the great singers from the past (Maria Sebotari for instance), or the particularly amazing modern sopranos like Joyce DiDonato, or Cecilia Bartoli. According to Joyce Didonato, developing a trill will greatly help speed up the vibrato, NATURALLY I should emphasize. When is this "I like slow vibrato" phase ever going to stop? But, let me be honest that there are more than 30 modern opera singers with fast (read healthy) vibratos.
Didn't mean to offend you again, but I don't know of any coloraturas who have slow vibratos. To tell you the truth, my least favorite vibrato in the world is Diana Damrau (too wide and too slow, it's a serious wobble, she could have vocal surgery any day now!).
However, I should in return praise you for the ability to hit the notes in tune (I have perfect pitch...) not to mention the very well-executed high notes right on pitch. Pretty amazing. And there is simply a slow vibrato, that's it. Just naturally find a way to boost its rate and you'll sound more amazing. Again, no offense, but... Don't listen to the old lady who says "6 oscillations or slower". Thing is, too many people take 6.0 vibrato as perfectly normal, but really, this is a slow vibrato. Also remember that evolutionally, people had faster vibratos as singers, and a slower and slower vibrato almost reminds me of the unhealthy food epedemic... partly because most of us are sighted, maybe? Perhaps we don't have as good an ear as someone like, Denise Lee? Her voice is just stunning. I swear, if anyone thinks Denise's, Joyce's or Cecilia's vibrato is too fast, you're wrong. It's good, and in fact a healthy vibrato is a fast one. Whoever prefers slow vibrato really has to short-change their opinions real quick.
