Protesters want to see different Rays stadium deal

The City of St. Petersburg and the Tampa Bay Rays are negotiating a $6 billion stadium and redevelopment agreement for the area around the proposed new ballpark in the footprint of Tropicana Field. However, some residents don't think the city is winning the negotiations.

“Fix the deal?” Sorry folks, it is what it is. This isn’t between the people and the Rays, this is between the people and the politicians they elected. the city of St Pete was lucky to have kept the Rays at all, and without the Rays the whole planned area would have never been possible. Rays fans, real Rays fans want the deal to fall apart so a stadium can be built in Tampa, where it makes sense, and where it will certainly make money.

Crap on the new ball park. Since greedy-ass Ballys came on the scene, I can no longer watch the Rays on TV. I have followed and loved them for years, but have no cable. Now "America's favorite pastime" is inaccessible to those who can't pay up. I am no longer a fan and have turned my attention solely to the Bucs.
