abc123mj13 I always have buyer's remorse with anything I buy, even a pair of $40 sneakers. lol I hate spending money. However, it will be nice to not have a bike sound like a sewing machine. lol
Btw you don t need the servo eliminator, you can leave the servo in without the mechanical cables in, it ll still do it s thing for no reason but no engine light either way, it s heavier tho. The seat concepts is awsome, i rode 8 hours on it without a problem. as oposed to pain after 2 hours on the oem seat. The wr250r or x is so fun with the mods you got, good choices. Btw to all new riders out there, I had much more fun on a wr250x than on a sv650s as a new rider because i vould beat on it all the time as opposed to having to watch my back anytime i tried to open up the sv...
O and btw the best mod i did to my wr, other than the one you posted, was gearing and a speedodrd, i got 13/45 which is still very good on the highway and would have went with 13/47 if i had the wr250r instead of the x, don t go to a 12 tooth sprocket tho, it eats the swingarm... Btw the oem speedo with the oem sprocket and tire is off by 8% that speedo drd rly is usefull if you touch either your tires or your sprockets
Outstanding! God there is nothing better than getting the mods in the mail and tricking out the bike! Well done brother! It's strange, some bikes I mod more than others, but it costs so much to put pipes on a ducati so I have stayed stock. After two years I'm itching for a new bike anyways….
can't wait to see how it turns out...those pro tapers should look great. The WR is a great bike.. thanks for always sharing your AWESOME videos with us.
If I didn't know better, I would've thought you were building my bike. Got a 2013 WR250 last year with the same exhaust, all white plastics, the same grips, same seat and very similar hand guards.
I'm really looking forward to seeing the bike after these mods. Also looking forward to the dyno tune and results. Have a wonderful and happy new year CycleCruza!
Awesome group of mods! Can't wait to see some installation videos and then the final product! I was bummed when you said you wouldn't mod the WR...but now you got the mod fever ;)
+Ian Creature the wr250r stocks looks too much like an 80's bike. lol I had to do something and I want to experience the whole PC tune experience and relay that experience to my audience, I can't knock something until I try it.
Great list of mods for the wr, just letting the motor breath with a pipe and programmer will make a HUGE difference. The wr in stock form is very mild due to emissions :/ If I may make a suggestion... if your riding is more then 50% off road, change the gearing, I am running 14t front and 52t rear (80% dirt and 20% road) max speed with this gearing is 70mph on the rev limiter. More common gearing is 13f/48r so you can still cruise the freeway but have more low end usable power in the dirt. Gearing and suspension settings for dirt are underrated and will make the world of difference as you progress in the dirt. Im not talking racing, but just having fun. Your front fork and rear shock have screw/clicker settings to change the speed at which they compress and rebound, which make little difference on road, but will keep you from washing out on the dirt. Rule of thumb - slower rebound and compression is better is soft/sanding conditions. Also the wr motor is designed to make all its power in high rpm, short stroke large bore engine. Trying to get low end torque out of this motor is pointless. Gear it down and wind the piss out of it, then you will have your power. the seat concepts seat is the only way to go, the wolfman tank bag is priceless, and if it gets cold the tourmaster synergy 2.0 heated jacket will make a 40F day feel like summer at 70mph. Ive been riding dirt and street for 25+ years, your channel is just another excuse for me to brag about the wr250r the best bike ever We do some dual sport rides here in WI, its a blast 200 riders from novice to pro, bring your WR!! a couple vids on my channel ruclips.net/video/p59NdM1uMVU/видео.html Thank god for your channel as its snowing here and I cant ride my bike :(
Man I'm exited to see this as a finished product! Btw, glad you went for the megabomb, its much better for offroad, since you will probably never reach those high rpm's, and its much more fun on the road to accelerate really fast
My buddy blew his bike up from getting mud in between the skid plate and motor off road. What he's done after that is put a sponge type thing between the skid plate and motor so mud doesn't get up in there. It's just cheap thing you can do to help problems from happening. Better than a new motor that's for sure.
Cool stuff CC ! Last fall i got my 12 year old son a 2015 CRF 125 , Boy ! did he learned to ride that quick... We're slowly getting him geard up. Maybe he will subscribe to your channel on day ?
When it comes to off road riding, nothing will help you more than to learn Trials. Moto trials is common in Europe and the competitions are crazy to watch. The top trials riders can complete the whole course without pulling their foot down. You have to check them out. There is an Australian guy that has a youtube channel that goes over the techniques(LEARN TO RIDE TRIALS, is the name). That plus his Enduro cross training channel will make you an Ace off road in no time. He isn't an expert but the vids will get the point across. Keep on riding, love your vids.
Oh my goodness bro you got all the sick shit!! I can't wait to see the finished product!! It's going to be such a beautiful bike!! Love your content brother, have a happy new year!!!! 💪👊🎉
That's the bad/good thing about dual sport bikes. So much things you can buy for it. I bought a DR650 a year ago and I spent lots of dough hooking it up. still have more things I want to buy.
+richard rosario The only extras I will get is a fender eliminator, probably some better tires and rotopax set-up. I'm trying to keep the weight down but it's tough with all of this extra shiz. lol
big +1 for the quiet exhaust. I have a loud exhaust on my XL600 -- I hate riding that though the forest where people are trying to get some r&r with that thing. I'm planning on building a super super quiet exhaust for the bike ...then add a really loud air horn just in case for the road sections.
Hey just wondering...did you wait until the bike was finished "breaking in" before upgrading the exhaust/fuel programmer? I ordered all the stuff, but only have 90 miles on my bike. I'm wondering if I should wait until after like 2 oil changes before uncorking her? Regardless I'm still in love with my brand new WR :).
I have seat concepts replacement for my bike. you'll be very happy with it. I cheaped out and installed on the seat pan myself. wasn't too much of a pain in the ass. glad you're getting the mirrors worked out - I was going to ask about it until you mentioned at the end of the video have a safe and happy 2016
+Brent s The reason I went with a whole seat is because if I ever sell the bike I will return everything to stock and then sell the aftermarket seat. Have a great new year!
hey cc, my advice is to put a layer of carnauba wax on your white plastics. mine seemed to get reoccuring staines I had to clean off every few weeks. the stains stopped appearing after I waxed the plastics. I think they were coming from my off road pants catching dust and road rubber. Hope it helps
I had a powercommander v on my wr and I downloaded a pre-made map. Later got it dynotuned, and I found out that the bike was running hella rich because of the map I had installed. So I would just go ahead and get it dynotuned by a professional, so that the engine lasts longer and fuel consumption stays low.
+Buzzluxx I added a bunch more mods since this video, should be unveiling it within a couple weeks. I'm waiting to get my new heavy duty inner tubes and tires put on the rims and I have to install the new 3 gal fuel tank and waiting for the new LED headlight build. Completely different bike now from top to bottom.
+CycleCruza Damn you really went all out haha! Should be one of the best WRRs around when it's done. I'm leaning toward the WRR for all the same reasons you got yours.
Buzzluxx It was tough trying to figure out which dual sport to get. If we had more KTM dealers I would have given KTM a chance but there is no way I was dealing with the slow turn around time with that one mom and pops KTM dealer in Akron. I love this lil Wr250r though, I can't wait to see the difference with the new mods. Btw, I also added a 47 tooth rear sprocket with a new gold renthal chain.
+CycleCruza yea that KTM 690 is a sweet bike but man that thing is pricey. I think I remember you talking about how it's fun to ride a slow bike fast, that's what I'm looking for. Plus being new to dirt riding, it's good to start off with a cheaper bike so you don't feel so bad when you do eventually drop it. You could always upgrade to a KTM down the road too, at least thats how I feel about it anyway. I'm sure you still have many more smiles per miles left on that tricked out WRR though!
MARRY CHRISTMAS C.C. last month i got my self a 2015 Ninja 636 6r special edition and santa (aka) the wife got me a gopro hero 4 silver, so this summer im hopeing to try my hand on motovloging, love your videos iv mention your channel to some new riders hope they learn something on your vlog. HAPPY NEWYEAR C.C
The white plastics are going to look sick! I think it would really finish off the look if you got the wheels powder coated black, too. I guess you could give plastidip a try like you did with the WR250R but I doubt that finish would hold up very long once you start going off-road more.
+jkx22 No man I'm done with plasti dip. lol I ride off-road with this bike so plasti dip will not last on rims. I might upgrade the rims and of course they will be black, but the silver actually matches the skid plate and pipe anyways so it's not a big deal.
Awesome! I'm so glad you are finally modding out the 250! Definitely looking forward to this :) One question though, why didn't you do a sprocket change? Adding a few teeth to the rear would greatly improve the down low power
shockadellick Well, yeah, I guess power isn't the right word. Regardless, changing the sprockets will make a much more dramatic effect on how the bike behaves than an exhaust and power commander. It will let it rev up quicker which will make it accelerate faster.
Ok CycleCruza. You are officially Challenged to "Thumper Wars". A Bunch Of other Smaller Motovloggers are Participating. Quickest 0-60 Wins. Only 1 Cylinder Thumpers Can participate. Stock and Moded. Videos Will start to roll out Next week.
Oh!! By the way - the K&N is BAD!!! I worked for Donaldson and we tested them.. The foam filters can be many times better. Also use AMSOIL motorcycle oil ONLY! You will feel another 1-2 horses just by using a TRUE synthetic and your clutch will last longer plus the oil lasts twice as long and drops temps 15 to 20 degrees.
HeyO man, gratz. Get that puppy up to your standards! And yup, people don't realize. 5hp on a 20ish hp bike is 25% fucking increase. It's a massive difference that is impossible not to notice immediately.
+Saitama Stock exhaust and fender take a bunch of weight off there, with all said and done I doubt it's not more than 5 lbs heavier. I'm not adding a bigger fuel tank. However, I will probably add a rear rack and 1 gal rotopax set-up that I will only mount when going on a bug out trip or long trail trip.
Saitama I would just stack a couple rotopax 1 gal on top of each other. What I don't like about the aftermarket tanks is the breather tube comes out the top of the tank, the stock tank has one built in the bottom and doesn't release fumes or spill out when the bike is dropped. Dudes have complained about laying their bike down and gas coming out the breather tube with the aftermarket tanks like IMS. Also I sleep with my bike in my van, don't want to be breathing hazardous gas fumes all night.
Cool mods man!! Can't wait to see it done! You are going to love it! It's going to be like a different bike. I was reading one of the other comments and you were talking about the large capacity gas tank. I looked those up for my CRF but if they are plastic they wouldn't be legal on a dual sport I don't think. Maybe it's different where you are but I'm pretty sure the fuel tank has to be metal to be street legal. Have you heard that? Happy New Year man! Get the garage warmed up and get those wrenches out!!!!! LOL
+Jerry Coon Never heard that but I don't like the breather tube sticking out of the top of the tank, the stock tank has one built-in on the bottom. I din't want to be breating gas fumes in my van when I sleep in it with my bike. lol Also, some people complained about fuel spilling out the breather tube if the bike is layed down. I'm just going to stick with rotopax. Happy New Year!
+CycleCruza Not that anyone would ever know unless you had to get it inspected but yeah. Metal tank on the street. I bet the tank on your WR is metal. My CRF is too but you can only see the very top part. The rest is covered by plastic.
Jerry Coon yeah it's metal, I didn't know only metal tanks are legal on the street, makes sense though. A lot of people get plastic tanks though, probably don't know they are breaking the law but I doubt cops would waste their time issuing a ticket.
@CycleCruza when are you going to throw all the parts on can you do a video about the new ,power band where does all the new power sit in the revs low mid high? ,new mpg or miles to the tank?, new vehicle weight ?, does it power wheelie with out clutch i would like to see some throttle blips to see the tq and 0-60s and how it handles on the highway with the power commander will it pass vehicles at highway speeds in case of emergency can you please do a very detailed video on the performance mods and if they help for everyday commuting the drz400s dual sport has excellent power for commuting but its very out dated thanks
+Adas Griskonis tons of wr250r modded videos on the horizon. Just haven't had a lot of time to work on the bike. It's taking forever because I'm having to learn everything about this bike to work on it.
+CycleCruza would love to hear a before and after of the exhaust and see the dyno curves from before and after too. Gotta see if it's worth it for my wr
+Banana Split I do every year and working on finding the time to do a mash-up, 2015 will be a beast mash-up year though. lol Will probably take me a whole day of editing. Thanks for asking.
+CycleCruza And you said a supermotard needs too many modifications xD, but i gotta say you picked some nice parts! and it is true what they say about the airfilter, but you migh want to put it in oil so the sand and other mess will stick to it (just like dirtbikes). And with the rockguard, i would recomend putting rubbers between it and the frame, otherwise it will damage the frame due to vibrations. I find it funny that you keep saying ''little 250'' but its quite a big 250 man xD its over 50lbs heavyer than a KTM 500EXC
+DutchMastermind Well the KTM 500 has a dirt bike engine with less oil, so of course it's lighter BUT you have to do a valve check every 30 hours and check the spark plug as where as a wr250r requires a valve check every 27,000 miles! Also dirt-bike engines don't last nearly as long. I'd rather have the 50 lbs than to be wrenching often. WR is lighter than the Honda crf250l by 20+ lbs.
+CycleCruza Thats completely true but ot doesnt take away the fact that its alot heavyer than some other 250's or hogher cc. i change oil and do a valve check after about 50-70 hours or when i feel like doing that. since i only ride enduro and on road, it isn't getting as beaten up as on a dirt track. so yeah it does need a lot more maintenance.
DutchMastermind The Wr250r's weight still feels light off-road. It's a preferred adventure bike for many, people like me appreciate the low maintenance intervals.
+CycleCruza yeah i get that, however here in europe all the dirbikes are the most popular for enduro and on the road, its hard to find a japanese low maintenance bike here.... by far the most people want preformance over low maintenance. And they do maintenance themselves or with a friend who knows more about the bikes. but i understand some people want low maintenance, i wanted that too at first, but after looking online for weeks i figured that a heavyer less powerfull bike wouldn't satisfy my needs since im used to riding a lighter more powerfull dirtbike, and 50-70 hrs maintenance intervals isnt that bad, in my opinion EVERYONE should check their bike that often no matter what bike, just check if everything is straight, tight and strong (especialy if being a bit hard on your bike). Nobody wants his bike to do weird things or not function well when you need it the most.
Hey man nice work on the bike question for you now since you've done the mods, what's your opinion on those handlebars from pro taper are they high enough for you, was looking at them just not sure of the bend I'm 6'0. Was there any really noticeable difference in the power and sprocket change ?
+Dirt History I'm 6 st too, these bars are perfect for me. I haven't put on the performance mods yet. I've put modding hold, hopefully will have the bike ready within the next couple of weeks, by April at the latest. I'll do a ton of videos on the mods. Stay tuned for my unveiling video...
I bought PC5 at solomotoparts.com. Very good prices there. I don't feel any difference at all with full system, PC5 and k&n racing air filter. I am going to get me bike tuned in spring time, but highly doubt I'll get much HP out of it. I thought my throttle would be more sensitive, but wasn't. Let's see what happens when I get it tuned.
+Life On Two Wheels Did you get the megabomb or powerbomb header? I'm just looking for little more low end pull. I know someone who had their wr250r pro tuned and he said it didn;t make much of a dofference. $300 is a lot of money to blow for not much of a difference but I'll probably do it anyways,
+CycleCruza I completed a full exhaust system. Got midpipe and headers. Didn't do much difference. I talked to a tuner and he told me that you won't get much power from modern fuel injected bikes. I even bought performance air filter and not much of a difference. I was disappointed bout performance wise.
Life On Two Wheels I've been saying that all along BUT I never experienced it so I thought I'd give it try. If it's not worth it I'll tell you all in a review video.
I don't think that's the best idea to increase the engine power because the strokes will be stronger, thus increasing vibration to a point that it's uncomfortable. Being single piston engine causes enough vibration without adding more to it. It's just my opinion, probably you may not notice anything at all.
+CycleCruza I'm really glad to hear that. What about vibration on cbr600rr or cbr1000rr? Did you notice anything? Some guys complain on forums that the bmw s1000rr vibrates on handlebars at high rpm.
CycleCruza You mean the steel bar on the back? When you fall, the outer side of the radiator bends upwards and in, the bar only protects direct side hits in the middle At least thats what i see on the bike's drawing
+Ronel Brown All the links are in the description section but here ya go: Get Zeta Hand-guards here: amzn.to/1OvAoAJ Get Zeta Hand Shields with flashers here: amzn.to/1OzN8g1
I'll let you all know when I get my bike back from the tuner. The tuner made two custom maps, one with the air box door mod and one with the stock door. I will be unveiling my newly modded bike soon, hopefully this week.
Hey man, I just purchased a nice used WR250R. It has the stock tires. I am thinking of doing the D606 rear, but the closest size is about 1/2 inch taller than stock at 120/90-18 (stock is 120/80-18). I heard that the taller tires will have less torque at the lower speeds. Have you noticed this? I ask because the bike has a tendency to stall out if I don't give it much acceleration when I take off. Also, did you initially have the stock 43 tooth sprocket and did you notice more low end torque when going slower after changing to a 47 tooth rear sprocket? Did you lose much top end speed. I really want to do this upcoming LA to Barstow to Vegas ride through the California Desert. Trying to get best combo for the low end slow stuff, yet be able to keep up with the long flat stretches of open dirt road. Thanks for any info you can share.
Hey man, what did you end up going with. I'm in the same boat. Bike wants to stall stock if I don't gas it. I'm thinking a 14-49 sprocket change will help. Also need tires, but see so many suggestions out there. Not sure which to go with yet.
@@anonymous_friend Anonymous, I eventually went with the 13 front and 45 rear sprockets. I heard that changing the front sprocket could potentially cause problems because of the sprocket size. Some had no issues and others did. So, I simply wanted to avoid any issues...so, 13 front. To get more torque, I went 45 year. This actually had a difference. The first gear is now shorter, but I am easier from a start without stalling. Just enough to make a difference. NOW, I will need to put the D606 on the rear, which is a taller tire. I dont know how much difference the taller tire will make, but JUST IN CASE, I bought a 47 rear sprocket. This way, I can ride the bike around the block with my 13/45. Then change the tire. If I notice a difference with less torque...basically, back to where I started, I will have the 47 tooth to gain the torque back. I will probably change the rear tire in the next week or two. I went on a trail with the 13/45 in the California mountains and think this is a good balance. Given how short the first gear is, I can't imagine what it must feel like with the guys who are running 13/49 or 13/51. They must simply lose the use of the entire first gear. Anyway, that's my though. Hit me back in a couple weeks and I will let you know how the 13/45 with the D606 worked out or if I changed to the 13/47. Take care and be safe.
@@justsomeguy4941 After some research I'm sticking with 13 front oem? and tempted to try 50 rear. If you think 1st gear might become useless, i might need to rethink that! haha
@@anonymous_friend I think sticking with the 13 front is a good idea. My thoughts are no need to risk seals or any one of the other issues people periodically experience. Fewer problems are better than more problems. I assume you are currently running stock tires. While there are videos of guys running 49 tooth rear and getting up to 80 MPH, I think not having a useful first gear takes a little something away from the bike. My objective in even considering a larger rear sprocket was to keep the bike from stalling. I stalled on the streets, on the trails and even trying to get the bike on the hitch carrier when using a little power for assistance. With the 45 I immediately saw that I could add a "little" power and now the bike would roll up the ramp on the hitch carrier and not stall. I then noticed when on the street and taking off from a light, I barely cleared the intersection before having to change into second. This was not the case before the change...but workable. However, this extra torque was perfect on the trail. Less stalling, less clunking around when in first on slower uphill trails. I actually gained a little tractor factor when going slow. Ok, saying all this to say.... if a 45 gets the changes above, I would imagine a 50 is going to be too much for the street, but may serve you well on the trails. If you want more low end torque, more tractor factor in first gear while on trails and uphill terrain, 50 might work. I ultimately want to do some cross desert riding like the LA to Barstow to Vegas rides. While these include slower sandy tracks and trails where a 49 or 50 might be perfect, there will also be long stretches of open desert where the bike will need to perform at higher speeds. I would not want to have bike in 6th gear ringing the engine out just to go 40 MPH or so. I will still want the ability to have some top end speed IF needed. I think the ultimate factor should be how you plan on using your bike. If trail only... larger rear. If some street and some trail... perhaps something that gets a bit more balance. Ok, I know that was long, but wow, I love talking about bikes...and cars. Take care.
@@justsomeguy4941 I read that going to 14 front would counter the effects of going up on the rear count as well. I think this is how people are still maintaining speed but using the 47-50 tooth rear. I'm just not sure I see the benefit of increasing both, if raising the rear only slightly will do the same.
+CycleCruza oh awesome, i dont think they make a combined unit for super sports, at least i dont think they do for the cbr1000rr, i have one on 3 bikes and they all were only fuel injection and ignition must be purchased separate.
Why am I having such a hard time finding white plastics for my 2010 250r? I haven't found one website that sells the tail fender. Is it called a tail fender? #firstworldproblems
"I like to slip in, slip out. Don't wanna be too loud out there and draw attention to myself." Then proceeds to scream his fucking head off while he's riding. You buy parts to quiet down the sound of your bike, but maybe shoulda bought a muffler for your piehole? ;)
I recommend the Highway Dirtbike Top Clamp over trying to go custom with sheet metal: i73.photobucket.com/albums/i210/Veenus_Envy/E3C40F57-CE22-4277-8C03-2D159BF397EC_zpsixnr1oet.jpg
+Carlos Thomas Looks cool but looks heavy. I'm trying to keep the weight down. I got a piece of aluminum sheet metal I'm going to customize, if it doesn't work out I can always get upgrade to something like that. Also, trying to save some coin. lol Thanks for the recommendation tho.
Man you went FULL UPGRADE!! Hows the powercommander running? Supposedly it wakes UP the beast.. Cyclecruza check my channel too it will be a honor to have you as one of my subscribers! Let me know how that seat is going.. Maybe make a review.. My seat is like siting on wood after 1 hour of riding

Almost looks like buyers remorse but I'm happy your enjoyin your upgrades.
abc123mj13 I always have buyer's remorse with anything I buy, even a pair of $40 sneakers. lol I hate spending money.
Anto Pc yeah I, going 13/47 with a 112 link on a renthal 520 gold chain

just started riding dirt, and it's a whole new high! didn't realize how fun dirt/trail riding was
FYI - Watch my first ride and review on my newly modded WR250r : ruclips.net/video/3ewT-dW5b4Y/видео.html
FYI - My wr250r 2.0 fully modded bike unveiling video: ruclips.net/video/fgP95j6TrvQ/видео.html
Outstanding! God there is nothing better than getting the mods in the mail and tricking out the bike! Well done brother! It's strange, some bikes I mod more than others, but it costs so much to put pipes on a ducati so I have stayed stock. After two years I'm itching for a new bike anyways….
+P Banks This is the first time I've laid this much $ on mods, we'll see if performs any better.
can't wait to see how it turns out...those pro tapers should look great.
+CycleCruza absolutely! Can't wait for the videos!
man cant wait to see the bike its going to look badass
Love it man!! You are the only one who gives a complete list and discussion of all the ideal shit available for WR250r. High Fives to you damnit!!
Great list of mods for the wr, just letting the motor breath with a pipe and programmer will make a HUGE difference. The wr in stock form is very mild due to emissions :/
If I may make a suggestion... if your riding is more then 50% off road, change the gearing, I am running 14t front and 52t rear (80% dirt and 20% road) max speed with this gearing is 70mph on the rev limiter.
Ive been riding dirt and street for 25+ years, your channel is just another excuse for me to brag about the wr250r the best bike ever
We do some dual sport rides here in WI, its a blast 200 riders from novice to pro, bring your WR!!
a couple vids on my channel
ruclips.net/video/p59NdM1uMVU/видео.html
Thank god for your channel as its snowing here and I cant ride my bike :(
Man I'm exited to see this as a finished product! Btw, glad you went for the megabomb, its much better for offroad, since you will probably never reach those high rpm's, and its much more fun on the road to accelerate really fast
Dude i can't wait for the before and after video!
hell yea man! I just bought a wr250r last month and want to do all these mods. Hope to see some install videos cruza!
My buddy blew his bike up from getting mud in between the skid plate and motor off road. What he's done after that is put a sponge type thing between the skid plate and motor so mud doesn't get up in there. It's just cheap thing you can do to help problems from happening. Better than a new motor that's for sure.
Yeah heed grips rock, so do heated seats. my cbr 1000 rr rocks in the warm weather but this time of year my goldwing is the king of the road!
+Mike Sloan Nice!
Oh my goodness bro you got all the sick shit!! I can't wait to see the finished product!! It's going to be such a beautiful bike!! Love your content brother, have a happy new year!!!! 💪👊🎉
happy new year from the UK Mr. cruza
Looks like Santa was good to you!
Yeat again a wonderful video! Can't wait to see the wr finished!
I need to get a tune on my zx6r :D
That's the bad/good thing about dual sport bikes. So much things you can buy for it. I bought a DR650 a year ago and I spent lots of dough hooking it up. still have more things I want to buy.
+richard rosario The only extras I will get is a fender eliminator, probably some better tires and rotopax set-up. I'm trying to keep the weight down but it's tough with all of this extra shiz. lol
big +1 for the quiet exhaust. I have a loud exhaust on my XL600 -- I hate riding that though the forest where people are trying to get some r&r with that thing.
I'm planning on building a super super quiet exhaust for the bike ...then add a really loud air horn just in case for the road sections.
just signed up for my msf and got myself a gsxr 600!!!
I cheaped out and installed on the seat pan myself. wasn't too much of a pain in the ass.
glad you're getting the mirrors worked out - I was going to ask about it until you mentioned at the end of the video
have a safe and happy 2016
+Brent s The reason I went with a whole seat is because if I ever sell the bike I will return everything to stock and then sell the aftermarket seat. Have a great new year!
Ah hell yeah! Lookin' good brother. Can't wait!
I can't wait to see the end results. Hurry up!
+Greg Studeny I still have to get the 600 miles service done. lol
+CycleCruza multi task man. keep the videos coming.
my 2 friends and i have the whole yamaha 250 lineup got the yz, wr, and xt. come see our offroad trails in youngstown.
happy new year cycle cruza!! wr is going to look and sound great.get to wrenching!!
Nice can't wait to see it on the bike!
hey cc, my advice is to put a layer of carnauba wax on your white plastics. mine seemed to get reoccuring staines I had to clean off every few weeks. the stains stopped appearing after I waxed the plastics. I think they were coming from my off road pants catching dust and road rubber. Hope it helps
+aseredy thanks! I'll do just that!
Those are some nice upgrades man. 🎉 Happy New Year's Eve Everyone! 😁
They usually have custom maps for most common exhausts for download, no need to dyno unless u are really wanting all u can get.
+everss02 www.powercommander.com/powercommander/powercommander_maps_installs_product_buy_options.aspx?mdlyrid=22-016&make=28&model=96&make-n=Yamaha&model-n=WR250X/R&year=2015&mk=28&mdl=96&yr=2810
+everss02 Yeah $300 is steep and I doubt it will make a difference. I haven't made my mind up yet.
Happy New Year! It looks like you have your work cut out for you. Have fun.
Looking forward to seeing the before and after results! This is great info for people looking into getting a WRR.
Buzzluxx yeah the wr250r is a great bike to start on and for experienced riders as well. I love it, if I didn't I wouldn't have dropped 3k in mods.
You make me wanna get one of these so bad, man.
Richie 636 did you ever start? I want to sub haha!
Richie 636 SUBBED! #275!
+HeroDanny I might have them do that at the dealership when I take her for the first service.
shockadellick Well, yeah, I guess power isn't the right word. Regardless, changing the sprockets will make a much more dramatic effect on how the bike behaves than an exhaust and power commander. It will let it rev up quicker which will make it accelerate faster.
+HeroDanny it was the right word. you are providing power in the required area. we all knew what you meant.
Congrats brother
it's gonna look great when u done with it 👌😏 I love moto high happy new year 🎉
i Cant wait to buy this bike too!
you have done so really impressive work...
Lol cycle crypuza got a power commander hahaha I knew you wuld try one eventually
HeyO man, gratz. Get that puppy up to your standards!
And yup, people don't realize. 5hp on a 20ish hp bike is 25% fucking increase. It's a massive difference that is impossible not to notice immediately.
as long as he doesn't add too much weight, can easily wipe out those gains by adding 10-20lbs
mark rossi Would take a little more than 20lbs to ruin the gains, but either way, keeping it light is the real key.
CycleCruza That's exactly what I'd do. I would consider the tank mod if you plan on doing some desert runs though.
8:36 Sounds like you’re enjoying that bike a little... too much.
You should try a heavier flywheel, its a dirtrbike racing trick for higher low end kick
Your link game is on point
This is the dude who stripped out his drive shaft 😂
perfect :) happy new year. be safe.
Happy new year CC ride safe
If you're all about being stealth, wrap the plastics in camo vinyl.
8:33 RIP headphone users. Lmao it scared the shit out of me. I should have expected it though since you mentioned "if I want power".
+Omar Abdulghani my bad
No problem.
What do you feel of states like Washington and many other states resticting 16 year olds to only a motorcycle permit and not a endorsement
hey man are you planning to do a vid on installing the heater elements for your grips? Would be keen to see how you do it before i try myself! cheers
+Rubberneck Rides Yeah after I do an unveiling of the completed bike.
Happy new year
+CycleCruza would love to hear a before and after of the exhaust and see the dyno curves from before and after too. Gotta see if it's worth it for my wr
lol just for the start "I like to slip and slip kind of shit you know" I think you actually make louder noises in that clip than your bike does :D
+Finnishboy000 lol helmet muffles sounds, just sounds loud you guys because you are listening inside the helmet. lol
Yeah forgot that... Any idea when the exhaust stuff is all done?
What do you do for a living?
Yo CC, are we getting a 2015 Motovlog mashup best bits?
+Banana Split I do every year and working on finding the time to do a mash-up, 2015 will be a beast mash-up year though. lol Will probably take me a whole day of editing. Thanks for asking.
+CycleCruza all good man. Can't wait to see the WR after you've installed the mods.
What’s the hp gain with muffler, header, air filter, and module on this bike
Which exhaust is the loudest? I like to wake the cagers up.
Hey bro when you are you going to install some of those goodies
Hey man nice work on the bike question for you now since you've done the mods, what's your opinion on those handlebars from pro taper are they high enough for you, was looking at them just not sure of the bend I'm 6'0. Was there any really noticeable difference in the power and sprocket change ?
+Dirt History I'm 6 st too, these bars are perfect for me. I haven't put on the performance mods yet. I've put modding hold, hopefully will have the bike ready within the next couple of weeks, by April at the latest. I'll do a ton of videos on the mods. Stay tuned for my unveiling video...
Hey CycleCruza, where did you order the white plastics from? I didn't see it in the description .
+yiweisixy2 Check the description section now, I just updated it.
$300 is a lot of money to blow for not much of a difference but I'll probably do it anyways,
+CycleCruza
I completed a full exhaust system.
+CycleCruza
Thx! People at the shop told me exactly what I wanted to hear. In reality it's not, lol. Happy New Years man!
Yo I really like your Vids Bruh bruh!!
You funny as hell!! Do you still have this bike?? I hope so....
I don't think that's the best idea to increase the engine power because the strokes will be stronger, thus increasing vibration to a point that it's uncomfortable. Being single piston engine causes enough vibration without adding more to it. It's just my opinion, probably you may not notice anything at all.
+borm91 zero vibes on this bike now, I doubt if it will change much.
+CycleCruza I'm really glad to hear that. What about vibration on cbr600rr or cbr1000rr? Did you notice anything? Some guys complain on forums that the bmw s1000rr vibrates on handlebars at high rpm.
borm91 zero vibes on the blade and 600rr. The only time I exprienced vibes was on the cbr250r on long trips it would put my left hand to sleep.
I strongly advise you to get radiator protection, bent radiators are a real pain in the ass trust me, and they bend fast :P
+NukaMoto Stock radiator has a deflector on it.
CycleCruza You mean the steel bar on the back?
When you fall, the outer side of the radiator bends upwards and in, the bar only protects direct side hits in the middle
At least thats what i see on the bike's drawing
+NukaMoto I just bought a flatlands radiator guard, installing it soon.
+CycleCruza Nice!
where is the link for the hand guards with the integrated turn signals I'm really interested in getting that
+Ronel Brown All the links are in the description section but here ya go:
Get Zeta Hand-guards here: amzn.to/1OvAoAJ
Get Zeta Hand Shields with flashers here: amzn.to/1OzN8g1
Thanks a million
CycleCruza how much of a power increase did you get? do u have a video after the upgrdaes
I'm just not sure I see the benefit of increasing both, if raising the rear only slightly will do the same.
oh ps you need to buy another add on for the ignition module for pcv
+mark rossi This is the fuel injection + Ignition module, part # 22-043.
+CycleCruza oh awesome, i dont think they make a combined unit for super sports, at least i dont think they do for the cbr1000rr, i have one on 3 bikes and they all were only fuel injection and ignition must be purchased separate.
mark rossi idk about the cbr1000rr but the wr250r has one combined and one that isn't. I made sure to get the combo.
Hey cycle cruza, can u link the white plastics that u are gunna use. Thanks!
+Ryan Phung Yeah I held off on that because it was a bit more time consuming, I'll try and get them up tomorrow.
Thanks man. Hey, are plastics different from graphics? and can u get like plastics with the graphics on them?
Any reason you chose KTM mirrors over DoubleTake mirrors?
+MetaLexxer Looks better. DT mirrors look cheap and from the 70's. lol (at least the round one's do)
+CycleCruza Ah, ok. Fair enough =)
Awesome
Why am I having such a hard time finding white plastics for my 2010 250r? I haven't found one website that sells the tail fender. Is it called a tail fender? #firstworldproblems
Legitness
Can you do a install video
+moto life install video for everything you see here.
just ride the bike and enjoy it.
should of just gotten a wr450 if you were going to try to make the same power as a 450 witch is rougher on the 250 vs a stock 450
+Jeramy Portorfilled I did a video on why I did not choose a wr450f= ruclips.net/video/gOJpIjcq-4s/видео.html
That's such a bad idea, the 450 Is a motocross bike with a much more high maintenance schedule than the 250r
Christopher Bassit I hate doing maintenance and maintaining a dirt is is constant. Oil changes every 500 miles and regular valve clearance checks.,
CycleCruza exactly the wr250r was made for easier maintenance and street use, they really should consider a wr450r though
Hot DAMMMN cycle cruza how many cams do you have on your bike bro ha ha ha
+Pablo Oliva 4
you gana make a video how to install them right ?
+Oğuz Sevil yes
okay thanks for your answer
Boy Ohhh boie
"I like to slip in, slip out. Don't wanna be too loud out there and draw attention to myself."
Then proceeds to scream his fucking head off while he's riding.
You buy parts to quiet down the sound of your bike, but maybe shoulda bought a muffler for your piehole? ;)
Looks like xmas
Skyrim: Mod it 'till it crashes
