Had Bobscnc for 3.5 years. Actually have two. One for fine work and other for bigger jobs with expanded bed. I use open builds for my cnc operations. It allows me to speed up or slow down feed and speed during the run. Keep up the great videos!
Really interested into getting into CNC and have no idea on them or software. This looks interesting and hoping to carve draped flags rather than long process of doing it by hand. Is the 4’+ cuts precise? I see you’ve had it now a couple years.
Forgetting to turn it on, that was hilarious! Also way cool that you reveal your realness like that! So...... can I cut guitar bodies with this thing? Thinking about getting BobsCNC Quantum Max to cut guitar bodies and necks...
I am new to the CNC world, and bought a FoxAlien to start out. So far, I don't have any complaints except for the work area size. All comparable sized CNCs to BobsCNC are just so darned expensive, but after seeing BobsCNC, I really wish I had seen IT and not the FoxAlien. Good size and even more appealing price point. I guess I'll have to pump out about 100 signs and cutting boards, then buy ME one. Great video.
looks like a bunch of nuts and bolts to vibrate loose and require a ton of maintaince to keep operational. Plenty of other options out there. Mostly 3D printed CNC is one off the top of my head!
Bobs cnc has free software and sender on his site and is awesome! Learning the software can be the biggest learning curve for some. I use Vcarve (paid) and BobsCNC sender (free)
Be very interested how this CNC works out, been in the market for years for one. They are so expensive and that is without the add-ons, can't imagine a wood track system being solid enough for what I have in mind. Good luck, like to know how it stands up. Cheers.
Depends on what YOU want to do! If fast and bigger than 24x24 Evolution is not right for you. I,ve had m evolution 3 years and have cut 100's of projects without any trouble
Kids should learn to use a hammer saw and handtools first to develop some hand eye brain skills. Every one wants a robot slave or get them to be a flatbed 32 channel music producer in a room without learning sheet music or scales etc. No guitar reeptition to get good just looking to get a nice song out. I see the same here the art skill and cradt skill just aer not going to be human. No one is gonna beat Michaelangelo when they do CNC and make scanned copies. Without electricity mankind will stop. remember woodshop is not required in High school and maybe only 25% of the guys take it and girls less. Making a living is niot the same as being a craftsman. Back to Machine it uses an acme screw vs ball screw can it be less precise or leave 'lines'. Almost want to buy work off these to get output samples. That might need precsion fits. What does BOB use to run his production on?? Not his own stuff I'd assume. Apple could not use Apples for a big Co,
4 year Bob's user here. Love your night skies!! An IoT relay and better clamps are your friend, oh and dust collection!
great tips- thanks its been a few weeks now and I LOVE IT- started dust collection too
Also What IoT relay do you use?
Thank you! Made me more confident in buying the more affordable yet capable bobscnc vs a pre assembled cnc

Hello Sir! How has the machine held up? Any regrets or complaints? Close to pulling the trigger myself
8 months later. I still love it..making bigger and better signs. My only issues were learning curve on software.
Awesome video bud!
Thank you so much for your very informative video 😊
You are welcome!

I didn't know that routers came in kits, it's not something I would use but interesting nonetheless. I enjoyed watching the video
Thanks Mary!
Nice video! Very interesting to watch. I am considering getting one of these. What website are you using to program the CNC?

Loving it so far, cut a big sign last night and it was flawless

Great video. Did you glaze the wood pieces ? Mine is on the way and I"m wondering if it's necessary to do so
Yes, not sure i showed that. Seal them is suggested
@@Homesteadhow ok thank you
Looks like a long arm quilting machine except it is fir wood.
Yes!
My man built it in two days and thinks high school kids will take an entire semester to build it😂
What about building cabinets
Yes, I watched a guy build amazing custom cabinet doors with his own designs
