MkE2 and Sanken are the best organically, thanks for helping to decide.

I have Sennheiser me2 and rode wireless pro, is it worth upgrade to sennheiser mke 2 or cos11d?

I haven’t used the me2 on the rwp. I used to have them many years ago with a set of g3 wireless packs.
I found that the mke2 needed more gain in post with rwp. The cos11 has great levels with rwp.
Some people to prefer the mke2 sound over cos11, saying it’s a touch more natural.
Personally I prefer the cos11 sound and its size. You can hide it really well because of its bullet shape rather than the more cone shape of the me and mke.

Great taste. Sanken mic is the best imo

Congratulations on the video. I found it very interesting, I have a Rode Wireless Pro with a COS 11D It seems to be going into saturation, What sensitivity do you recommend setting on the TX to avoid this saturation?
In your opinion, what are the best settings to pair the Rode Wireless Pro with a COS 11D?

Did you have any issues with the Sennheiser into the Theos? I was told it wouldnt work well as it needs 7v and the Theos only gives it 5v but it sounds good to me?!

Definitely useable but yeah it needed the most gain adjustment in post to bring level up.

do you have any thoughts on the actual transmitter / receiver system quality? I already have the sanken cos 11d and a couple of sets of sennheiser g4 wireless packs.. just wondering if you have found any quality difference between this and the rode go pro packs? (not taking into consideration the 32 bit float - just purely the quality of audio it sends into the camera)

Hey, I haven’t used the G4’s, but I had the g3 set. My biggest problem with those were getting interference every now and then, like that short ‘spark’ kinda sound. Used to kill me having to hand audio in with that.
Since having the RØDE’s I’m yet to have an interference problem (without pushing distance) and I’m 100% happy with the quality the cos 11 into it gives me. It really is a good combination in my opinion.
I set the rx unit to ‘split’ so that I get each channel on its own track on the camera. If I stuff up and bump the audio dials on the camera during a take I love having the safety on the onboard recording as back up.

I have the Rode Wireless Pro at the moment and I find the Lav II to be ok, but if you want to hide the mic under clothing I find it pretty tricky. Have you tried that? I will likely buy a Sanken in the future but in the meantime would be good to hear any tips if you've every tried to hide the Rode Lav II.

Hey mate. Yeah very tricky with the forward facing capsule and the back that pulls off with rode lav ii, but I’ll pop up a video in the coming days with a work around for you.

MKE2 or Sanken (guess I would choose base on talent voice) ... Deity sounds really lame. Rode is just average ... thanks for the effort!!!
