I made a 1000GP meld set for budget-oriented players. It has the recommended right side gear so that you'll be good until 7.3 with that, but the left side is melded pretty cheaply to meet the mid-tier teamcraft set breakpoints but also hit 1000GP. I'm pretty happy with it for scrip farming so far and it saved me a lot of time and gil for the melds as someone doing this for the first time.
@grantparajuli7115 might be more work than you'd like to deal with for a bunch of strangers, but if youre on pc: download obs, set it up to record your game (if you need help lmk, i can usually get it working 😅), then just record yourself mousing over each piece of gear- it'll show each piece of materia melded to it. Then post it to your channel and come back and let us know to check it out! 😊
I got back into XIV late EW, and recently fell down the crafting/gathering rabbit hole - While i found plenty of guides for crafting, i couldn't find many good introductory explanations for gatherer's collectable's, how to know if you meet the requirements, and which skills/rotation to use to make the most of them. So thank you very much for this guide, it was immensely helpful~! 🙏💕 May i ask what you mean by "breakpoint"? i've see the term thrown around but not sure what one is~
Happy to help! Breakpoint just means that you need "this stat amount to reach a certain result". For example, if you have 4907 Perception on the Legendary Folklore nodes you will get a +30% Boon Bonus, which is the highest you can get, so doing any more perception above that is a waste if that's all you care about, but if you have 4906 you'll only have 29% Does that make sense?

To clarify, I accidentally gathered a decent amount of them in the process of leveling and could not turn them in so I just assumed they were basically just for orange scrips. But then I saw that there is an exp reward?

But why do level 100 collectables reward exp?? Am I missing something?

Honestly, great question. I'm not sure why they do either. When a new expansion comes out they get nerfed to 1000 Exp too, so it's just weird....
