This song got me
The subtle story telling in this video is beautiful. He’s not paying any attention to her affection at the beginning. He doesn’t believe he can be good to her so he doesn’t try and she just wants to love him past all those insecurities.
He later realises that ‘deep down I know that I need your love’. After all this time she hasn’t been worn down and eventually he sees her love is pure and trustworthy. Then his demeanour changes and he can accept her affection. He smiles fondly at her and looks yearningly as she walks away. He can finally see he is ‘that something better guy’. There’s no one else for him and he’s her mr right. She’s always known it but it took him longer to see. So even when he walks away she waits patiently. Their love is strong enough to bring them back again.

The lyrics hit home because I was like that for a while after I suffered in the hands of women, it's psychological.
