It seems I had a extra setting on my phone this time which has made the contrast lower so picture seems faded, only realised on watching it back.all sorted for next time
No worries
I didn’t notice at all ! Enjoyed it very much Dan!
Your family is such a delight!
I started watching your videos when you started on the château, and I thought you were a gardener on a really big scale. Then I found out there are all these other videos going back two years and it turns out you're a farmer. And then, your lovely Missus says you are a chef! I think you are a JOAT or Renaissance man. You do a bit of anything and everything!
I'm loving the château videos. Hard work done well! Looking forward to tomorrow's video!
I'm also currently watching a guy named Nik Rijavec. Whenever you feel the work is getting on top of you, watch one of his videos and you will instantly feel better about the task ahead of you! That guy advertised he was building a cabin. It looks like a wooden castle keep made out of entire logs that he cut down and prepared himself during winter! No joke!
Jack helping daddy is the most adorable thing ever!
I'd love to see some volunteers show up to help them out , Dan must be exorsted with all he does at Stephanie and then having to go home and work his butt off, so much to do, I hope they get some great gifts to help them along the way.
Jack is amazing!! What an amazing helper he is
Between you, Stephanie, Michael, and the Petherick’s, I barely watch TV anymore! You all offer such a good dose of escapism. Much love from Florida
Other than PBS, I don't watch regular TV at all. Gave it up for RUclips last Summer.....
same here
I think that the word of the day could be realism, as well as escapism because this is truly how life can be. Love of a family, friends, home, hard work and lending a helping hand when possible. Little Jack is the best example of that and I love being a little tiny part of this, even from so far away. Much love from Oregon too!
My thoughts exactly. Can't stand all this reality tv, of which there is too much.
I am the same. Only I added Escape to the Chateau and Escape to the Chateau DIY. Love Dick and Angel Strawbridge
He's getting really good with that shovel. It is so cute 🤗
The bright yellow vests fit perfectly.. that was a perfect idea. Now mommy and daddy Dan can spot them easily.
I absolutely love that you all let the boys help even when I’m sure it feels like you could get things done faster sometimes without their “help” I think it wonderful!
This family is melting hearts from around the world! Hard work mixed with laughter, patience and love sets a wonderful example for your boys.
Love Jack helping!
Adorable boys. So cute that Jack wants to follow in daddy's footsteps and learn to work the land, just as the good Word has instructed us. The garden is going to be as lovely as your sweet cottage.
I watch all of the related chautea vlogs , the Brits are amazing people. CARRY on Dan
SO CUTE!!! "Do you like the flowers Jack?" "No! I don't."
" Horse poo"... sounded so like something else🤣🤣👍🏽
Love the new heater
I'm so happy your family will be toasty warm this winter💞🤗
The little vest on him look so official. Nice gift from the Chateau gift day.
🛠 Very handsome & helpful little workers.
It's adorable. Lol. Love that he wants to help and be like daddy.
Box is attacked by a butterfly or moth in France. It might be a bit tricky to keep it nice. So glad you have a warm house this winter. Good vlog. Thankyou.
Having lived in a cottage with a gas fire as our heat source, I 100% relate to the expression on your face when you get that blower going on high! 🔥
Just now saw this one. Love the way you involve the boys in your projects. Jack is so cute with his vest and little shovel! 💕💕
Teaching and letting your boys help and you all having a lovely time together. Wonderful memories for you all.
Love the stove and the tiles you used. The hydrangea and boxwoods are lovely. Nice chickens ... oh and lots of baby chicks!!! The pellet stove is amazing.
I love the semi circle border you created and like Dan says, it will fill that space in a couple of years and look even better then.
The pellet burner looks fantastic and will be a blessing this winter for you all.
It’s so cute seeing the boys in their little luminous vests
Dan it’s so lovely to see you all working together.the boys are wee cuties .i think the fire is fantastic x
Watching your little guys gives me such joy. You're good parents and will be rewarded in years to come. Love the new hearth and stove. So cozy. The new garden is going to be beautiful. Looking forward to seeing it grow!
Aloha ! The gardening in front of the barn looks great. You both do a nice job of raising your boys. Thank you for sharing your lives.
Love Daddies little helpers in their visability vests. What Stars. Watching from Hollywood California.
In US its a Panicle Hydrangea 'called 'Limelight', very pretty. I like when Analise says "Right lets do this" shows you're not afraid to get stuck in and work hard Annalise. The boys are going to be a big help to you when they are a bit older, they already work well without complainingJack saying voila is so cute. Google manual for model of fire you'll find one in English online
It's his new favourite word 😊
What a creative start to your garden. The hydrangia with smaller flowers are so much easier to use in arrangements, fresh or dried. The boys are so cute pitching in to help. Cheers from 🇨🇦 Canada.
Fancy your little one being that keen and smart, he can help and do things, just amazing really for such a young toddler.
Just love your family so much. Jack is definitely going to follow in his father's footsteps. Thankyou for allowing us to be part of your rural life 🌿🦋🐓🐔♥️
I am blown away by how smart the kids are, well done Dan&Fam good work on the garden and heating system. I can absolutely see bed time stories by the fire place in your future.
So satisfying seeing your home take shape for your lovely family! sending love from Washington State! Your boys are adorable ! Thank you Dan!
It looks fabulous. What a wonderful cosy room you will have for the winter! I love the garden too - it will be gorgeous as it grows. It's a good thing you have such a super little helper... :)
Wonderful to see your family will be comfortable this winter. Thank you for allowing me to be a “fly on the wall”.
🏡your hearth looks wonderful! Dan. I was thinking maybe a plank of wood to get the burner up on there so weight of it would not damage your work on tiles etc...but you two are amazing....that is so heavy. Annalise: you do know that you are making all the grannies out there get all blubbery watching your adorable little sons helping their Daddy and generally just being cute....You are a brilliant Mother, that is very clear. Wow.👨🏽🌾...🌳great landscaping creativity you two;🍂 it will be lovely garden🐤
Thank you for your lovely comment my boys are my pride and joy 😍 gives me pleasure to see them enjoying time and learning outside with Dan x
@@escapetoruralfrance The best kindergarten ever. You patience and teaching has helped them to understand the boundaries needed while dad is working. And to see their little brains working out where they can join in with daddy’s work is exquisite. Totally delightful to observe.
Congrats from a retired Kindy teacher.
Loved it when Jack tried to copy his daddy by standing on his spade. The boys are just so cute. They are a credit to you. And all those baby chicks running around. Love this vlog.
The men did a great job putting in the hedge and hydrangea. 😉 I love how Thomas loves working alongside Dan. He's not afraid to step in and help.
It’s so much fun to be in on the planting discussions! And to see how supportive you are of one another. Your children are so precious! Great personality 😉
What adorable children you have learning from dad and a mum not fretting about a little dirt
Nope these boys are industrial and love a bath at the end of the day 😍
So pleased you were able to get your heater before winter to keep your beautiful little family warm & cosy!
Love the planting, the box takes from cuttings very easily so you could double your plants without buying any more.
New box garden bed looks awesome! So happy for you about your pellet fireplace! Enjoy toasty days & nights with it! ❤️🇨🇦
Beautiful hydrangeas I have several and they grow quickly and big, mine are about 5ft now and give a real good show. On move that fire in and out you could do with some wood in front of the hearth as you pull it in and out to fit it, so you don’t chip those lovely tiles, it looks really lovely hope it keeps you all snug and warm during winter.
Not to give notice to the 4 negative trolls who gave the tgumbs down but I just have to wonder...what is there POSSIBLY not to like about this sweet little peek into your family life on your beautiful French homestead, a loving supportive couple and 2 of the most precious little boys in the world?? You’re so multi-talented and Annalise’s zeal for even the smallest improvement is absolutely infectious. The landscaping is going to be so pretty. I’m all inspired to do some fall plantings now 🙂
Your son is cuteness overload, watching him wanting to stay close to his dad and watching everything he does, makes me smile. Love you two together, working hard and living the dream ☺️💕
The flower bed looks awesome against the barn. Kids are so cute and helpful in their new vests :)
Oh my gosh, your boys are just so adorable. Plus the lil vests were just so cute on them. I just adore the work you all are doing with them. Teaching the most humblest of work, to make their dream home. Just absolutely love it. Keep up the good work guys.
You two are wonderful parents, and are teaching your kiddos by example...it’s the best way 🧡🍁🧡
Everything you and Annalise are doing looks great. The exposed ceiling, the fireplace, and the flower bed. Your the man, Dan.
I love the little vests they got as gifts....So adorable!!
Boys being boys. You guys are so patient and I love that they are outside playing with nature instead of inside watching TV. God bless you guys!!!!! ❤️ from S.C , USA!
Omg!!! I cannot...too much cuteness!! Those vests are perfect on them ❤
Love Jack and Thomas’ personal reflective vests! Your children are so adorable. And gardener/builders in the making! 😀
Garden perfect and heating for home yeah
Love the over all look of the fireplace, the tiles were a great choice and the burner's very flash... no more cold nights, stay cozy!
As well as being bi lingual , your boys are growing up to be extremely skilled in a number of mediums. With role models like you two, they can't go wrong. Jacks co ordination is fantastic for his age. Good luck to you both.
The face of that doggy says ......... i also wana do some gardening! Specially when the boss is away! LOL
Amazing job all around and I'm sure your little helpers will grow up in the same mindset.
Its great to see that you'll all be toasty warm this Christmas
I just love little Jack, he is so adorable and he is actually helping. 👍💗🙂
I loved the video today. Jack doing proper digging, the gorgeous tiles and that amazing pellet burner. All of you sitting there watching it reminded me of watching my first washing machine through a complete wash cycle when it arrived!
Your little boys are so adorable. I love how you bring them up, allowing them to get dirty and to be around when you do work. They will learn so much! Jack is already following daddy's footsteps. He is such a cleaver boy and they are both so well behaved. I am so happy for you, that you got the lovely stove (or what ever it is called - english is not my first language). You will be warm this winter, which is so important.
Great episode. I love how you explain it all. I also like how you are so patient with your boys and get them to help. They are learning in the process working along side daddy. Super! I like seeing things accomplished.
Team work making the dream work! Congratulations Dan, Annalise, Jack and Thomas you all did a great couple of big home improvements this week... Another lovely vlog ,thanks :-)
Hello from Denmark.
Great you got it installed, it's so easy to keep warm in the winter with that one.
Get Isabel to help you with
The manual. 😉
Can anyone plz tell me the model of that wood burner seems a really decent one
(Moira Ashton) The Hydranger is going to look gorgeous!! Love the little hedge, When I had to have a new washing machine, here in Spain, I put the model number into Google and got it the instructions translated into English , It might work with your pellet burner!!, love the boys In their reflective jackets, Cute!!
As lovely viewing as always. Adorable Jack and Thomas, Thanks Dan, a Master Teacher and Camerawoman! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
That's a great way to introduce gardening to your young children 👍👍
Your vlog is so fun to watch. It's real and not staged, and just a glimpse into a family's life. I love watching the boys, it brings back memories of when mine were little.
A possible idea for the chimney is to put in a register plate inside above the mantelpiece and back fill the chimney with vermiculite then cap off the chimney stack. This will make the house warmer in the winter as the heat in the room won't escape up the chimney.
💖👑👑💖xx annalise just gets stuck in. the fire place looks brilliant .the boys look so cute with there work jackets such a lovely gift . And like i have wrote before you give me back faith in mankind amazing family also love everyone elses comments .so looking forward to next weeks vlog has its my happy place. ☺xxxxxxx
Great job on the box Dan, glad the pellet burner is up to scratch and you all will be warm this winter!
Love the soft curve of the box, with another on the otherside will soften the straight lines of the structure. Great choice. Jack is his fathers son. Those boys are adorable.
A good heater is everything
I love their little hi vis vests, so cute.
Dan, Annalise, it made me so happy to see the stove lit.
Those baby boys are so adorable
Important Pleasures of Life...a few new plantings to create beauty and watching a much needed Pellet Burner start-up to warm a Family's Home.....Blessings to All .😷💫
Dont forget to show us the other side of the door when you finished with the second hydrangea bed. Looking lovely.
Bless Jack hes such a good boy and a good brother 🤗
This is so adorable to watch Jack with his vest on helping Dan. Both boys have their vest on super cute. Dan and mommy should have theirs too. Loving that mini landscape that will look nice in two years time.
Fabulous job! So great seeing Reno from scratch!
I am just watching this one and I have to say your boys are just adorable and Jack is a great little helper. Def will be a great helper as he gets older. Love the flower bed….
Love the new log burner and tile work.
Dan you have a lovely family. I have huge respect for the hard work you do, such a great work ethic. Much love to you all .❤️❤️❤️🙏
Well done guys😉that flower bed will look fabulous when it's established 😊isn't jack a great helper,he's learning from the best😄I'm loving the fireplace and the pellet stove,it's going to make all the difference in the winter 🤗🤗🤗
It so nice to know you’re all going to be warm and toasty this winter ❄️....Blessings to Your Family
Annalise, you are a great example for how to collaborate with spouse/partners! Thank you. I noticed my entire plier draw is empty and MY drill and bits are nowhere to be seen. And I didn't yell! "Darling, I can't find my drill you borrowed..." much better response!
Thanks for sharing.
Good idea to calibrate with Stephanie on a major meal, split the video, you doing the back ground prep and Stephanie showing the party side/work on the night.
so great to see you have a heater!! love the garden bed.
Well done you guys, the box planting and hydrangea look gorgeous and so excited for you all to have a lovely cosy fire. I can remember when we put in our stove in we didn’t even put the TV on that night we just watched the fire all night. Lovely seeing the boys wearing their yellow jackets that someone sent you, they’re so cute. Xxxx
So glad for your new heater!!
Nice to see them wearing their vests.
Nice to see your heater is installed !!!!!
The fireplace tiles are Beautiful great Job Dan !
Hello from Texas/USA....Nice hedge and hydrangea landscape, I am really enjoying your family!
Hello family of four in rural France. Thanks for sharing the pellet heater coming to life. Come on winter...you're ready for the cold. Yea! Kudos to all you have done with your lovely farm house so far. Pleased to see the fireplace looking efficient and beautiful. Well done.
Congratulations on your new heating unit! It is magnificent! I share your joy on how great it is to have constant heat as my 200 year old boiler went in the middle of a Canadian Winter and the replacement didn't come for a couple of months. It is like you won the lottery, you are so grateful for years to come. Enjoy!
What a lovely vlog! I just love Jack and Thomas chattering away in the background all the time. That little plantation outside the barn is going to look so good next year and job well done with your pellet burner. Happy winter days 😂👍
Those sweet little chaps will be toasty this winter. Landscaping looks fab, kicking it up in rural France!!!
The tile looks great! Great job with the heater as well!
This is pure joy.
The sweetest kids ever Happy for you as you lit your fireplace. JOY
