I love this 😊💖🎼 their NPR Tiny Desk performances are amazing...Common and Robert Glasper are two of the great musical-loves of my life...nothin but love and respect
SuperPunch76 Right. He's always been able to attract strong women and strong women see a good man from a bullshitter so it's more than what we can all see in public.
The Change that's true. But the second part I don't know about these days because great men get curved by great woman all the time especially that great woman has trust issues.
I’ve always had mad respect for common, one of my favorite rappers but after this video mannn, & not just him all four of these guys I love their mentality. I got mad respect, I feel a lot of youngins needed to hear this, shit we all did
Was amazing to see all these gifted brothas speak on black social issues and music. The album stays on repeat. I had to play Optimistic today, just one of those songs that gets you through the day...Great vibes!!!
Can’t wait until I listen to the album. Legends right here! Every time I see Karriem Riggins it reminds me of the Bossa Nova joint he did with Dilla. 🔥🔥
As much as I love Common, I think the segment was too much Common and not enough August Greene. Would have loved to have heard about how they came together and how they describe there sound and origin of the group name. Enjoyed the freestyle at the end and props to the group for the Mulgrew Miller shoutout on their live tv performance.
I wonder why is Samora not considered officially apart of August Greene? I love this group so much and I can’t imagine hearing them without Mr. Pinderhughes.
1999. Discos DEL SUR, aún guardo sus bolsas... Like Water For Chocolate en el escaparate. Mi primer vinilo... Gracias a todos por arrojar tanto amor y tanta luz en mi camino! !Love. . .
Great interview with Common but forgot to talk with the other two well accomplished homies sadly. Still just found out about this album and its a big welcome surprise!. Loving the Jazz vibes with Common's flow!
Common man, love that guy. If him, Kanye and Chance...Vic Mensa all them come back and get together. Grow our city, cultivate our communities from a monetary aspect as well as inspiring the youth to be more than just rappers or ball players or gang bangers. The people have to stay vigilant and see that we have a way up and out.
I saw the Glasper Trio with Chris Dave perform with Common at a small club in New Orleans. Shit was incredible. Someone on the balcony spilled a drink on the DJs equipment twice tho LOL
Sway, you should interview Antonio Moore from Tone Talks and Yvette Carnell from Breaking Brown if you want to know how we get out of oppression. if you TRULY care about Black America, reach out to them and bring them up there for a conversation.
Common Truths are too often unappreciated by common people and it’s sad that more celebrities don’t commonly speak the good truths because there are multiple variations that’s not beneficial and the healthy truths are commonly disregarded... Respect to Common Sense...
Look what we have done as an oppressed people. We have only had access to the freedoms of the US Constitution for less than 70 years. We were oppressed for 335 years (246 years of slavery + 89 years of Jim Crow) We have to understand our timeline.
Common... Don't u kno real freestyles aren't allowed? What are u doin my man? Please take your real hip hop and stuff it back in your soul... now where's my Young thug thumb drive...??
We can get out of oppression by establishing a legitimate defensive stance and it can’t be under White men’s theories because that would make such an experience impossible. Why should the naturally weaker people (based on historical independent Black accomplishments and behavior as a whole) also agree that they are equal politically and morally? That would automatically make them less and we are the only people who don’t realize that that’s the main reason we are subjugated to the unfair and biased bullying and oppression we receive and the other races just stand by and allow it because they are fearful of our rise also, even though we are more commonly progressive in thinking...
Common is one of the greatest freestylers ever. This entire episode was a treat!

SuperPunch76 Right. He's always been able to attract strong women and strong women see a good man from a bullshitter so it's more than what we can all see in public.
The Change that's true. But the second part I don't know about these days because great men get curved by great woman all the time especially that great woman has trust issues.

The best combination= August Greene... Nothing but hits from them
As much as I love Common, I think the segment was too much Common and not enough August Greene. Would have loved to have heard about how they came together and how they describe there sound and origin of the group name. Enjoyed the freestyle at the end and props to the group for the Mulgrew Miller shoutout on their live tv performance.

Nobody says thanks for a drink?
Sway needs to evolve from that Hat brand.....it's time to lay it to rest
What laws has Trump passed or wishes to pass that are hurting Black Americans? Genuine question.
Pat Kelly none. He hasn't accomplished any legit legislation, but takes credit for everything, everywhere, ever. You must be white.
More orangey pink tbh
The vibes are off
i like Common but common is clueless when it comes to politics lol Sway as well.
B. Haki clueless? Dude you gonna mess around and hyperextend something with all that reaching you doing. Hot takes aren't really your thing.
lupe fiasco clique
Common is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than Nas Nas is really no longer top 5 Common or E40 need that spot
Maurice Markray definitely not lyrically, but common real nice though he up there
