- The New York Knicks still need to close out their series with the Indiana Pacers, as the Boston Celtics will now be waiting for them in the Eastern Conference Finals. Craig Carton isn’t worried about the Celtics or their fanbase, and hopes to continue their rivalry in the next round.

@@shannonnixon8238 Pick your poison. On the one hand you have the Knicks which means everyone in NBA media will be riding their D regardless of the outcome. Otherwise fatigue and injuries and lack of size will hurt the Knicks. The Pacers are a fast team that just wants to score and play no defense but they also have Myles Turner which will be tougher on the Celtics bigs without KP than Hartenstein.
I hate skipping ahead to the next series when the Pacers are still very much alive. And this nonsense about the Celtics fans being worried. I'm a Knicks fan, and let me tell you, if the Knicks are lucky enough to get into the ECF, I'll be plenty worried about the Celtics

At the same time I'm already proud of the Knicks for how far they have come. Anything short of a championship for the Celtics is a colossal failure. The Knicks in the ecf is house money and very very successful season.

Celtics fans are mainly thinking about how different the two series would be. The Pacers are basically the offensive half of the Celtics, without the defensive half. The Knicks would be a better test, especially if the Celtics win and need to be ready for one of the four teams from the West. But worried? The Celtics beat the Knicks, 4-1, in the regular season. That sounds like a fitting result for the ECF, if the Knicks advance.
But yes, the Knicks do live rent free in Celtics fans' heads, specifically in a tent in the backyard. The Celtics fans have already sent invitations to Jokić, Ant, Luka, and Shai for the series they're really thinking about. The "worry" related to the Knicks for Celtics fans is to avoid looking past them.

I lived in Baahston for many years and there are certainly Celtic fans who are always afraid their team will lose, even when Bird, McHale and Parish were at their best. I talk to some regularly. But then, you can say that about any fan base. C’s have not proven themselves as champs yet, so they’d be lying if they claim they have no doubt. Even against half of a team like the Knicks. But certainly against whoever comes out the West.
Long time Celtics fan here: I respect the Knicks, but I'm not scared of them. Knicks at their best can't beat C's at their best, but the C's don't always play their best. If it's C's vs. Knicks in the ECF, it's def going 6 or 7, Celtics will win, but it's gonna be hard to watch.

Not worried at all. The Knicks have faced more adversities than any team with injuries to multiple players and we're one win away from advancing. Boston is just a better version of the Pacers who's scheme is the same. Shoot 3's and if it doesn't work, keep shooting 3's. Although Boston at least plays defense.

"Worried?" First off, the Pacers haven't been eliminated. So lets stay on target. As far as the Celtics, assuming we get there, it's all house money at this point. We're missing 3/5 of our starting lineup due to injuries. I'm just enjoying the journey but I know this isn't the year. Hopefully next year we can get to the postseason healthy.

I'm a Knick fan. I know that Celtics are gonna win. But a sweep is highly unlikely. Brunson is a better floor general than Spida. Thibs is a better coach than JB. The Knicks are a better rebounding team. I'd say Boston 4-1, but wouldn't be surprised if the series went 4-2, even with the Knicks injured.
