Just found the most unusual grape! they look like blueberries, they're practically black underneath the bloom. They have the sweetest most unique flavor I have ever tasted in a grape as well. I can't wait to make this grape jelly for the first time

Blue berries have a star on them, make sure you have properly identified them before proceeding there are a few berries that resemble wild grapes that are not edible.

I used to use an apple press to press grapes you get more juice after heating them.

Definitely agreed on heating the grapes, that's a big part of why I do it the way I do. Thanks for sharing.

Will this work with store-bought red seedless grapes?

No sorry it won’t be the same at all, and it would be very very sweet without the deep purple color

Haha. No don't. I just memorized when doing this as a child. It's great and it's a healthy process for us grownups too for connecting with the elements and nature. Love @@foragerchef4141

can you make scrap vinegar with the pressed grapes including the stems, or should you take the stems out for that?

You can add the whole mash stems and all if you want.

@@dustyjane2747 I misspoke, no jelly on Earth would set at 125F.
