The statue at 2:31 is Lady Justice, an allegorical personification of the moral force of judicial systems. The blindfold represents impartiality, however, the dramatic close-up of her face suggests another meaning - being blind to the truth. The sword represents authority . Lady Justice is traditionally depicted with scales in her right hand, however there are no scales present here, just the handle. The scales represent the weighing of evidence, and lack a foundation to signify that evidence should stand on its own. The lack of scales signify that the judicial system convicts Black people without sustainable evidence. The Black man is attempting to tear down justice - not because it is not important, but because it does not exist - at least for Black Americans. Powerful use of symbolism, throughout the whole video. This video is an artwork.

Why you being silly fucking with me
Giggity giggity
When I'm in the city
They like, Doc you litty
Not as lit as I'm finna be
I just wake up and do shit differently
I can never say they doubted my ability
Along the way some niggas just wasn't feeling me
Niggas lost faith and quit on me
I just tuck 'em in the back of my memory
One monkey don't stop no show, my niggas got goals and responsibilities
So you know by any means, really mean any and everything to the team
Nothing off limits nigga, ain't gon' keep shit clean
Me and my niggas them niggas that they should've never let go free
Niggas got me talking through my teeth like I'm 50 Cent in '03
Ain't no Kunta Kinte, nigga Toby what they told me
"What it's gon' be?"
[Chorus: Johnny Venus]
Looking for peace in America

Looking for peace when I stare at you, ooh
Looking for peace in America
Looking for peace when I stare at you

Still dirty dawg 2020
I had to come check in on Earthgang. I love, love, love this. I can never get enough of this song. It'll never get old. Flows of perfection.
It takes me an immense amount of effort to rap JIDs first couple sentences, genuinely extremely impressive even 4 years later
I like the O Brother, Where Art Thou theme to it
THE BEST AND MOST PERFECT HIPSTERS I KNOW AS WELL 🕊
All 3 of them gruesomely annihilated the beat! 😭😭😭🔥🔥🔥🔥 The Flow, The Lyrics, The Beat - just all-round perfection!!
4 year anniversary ALREADY?!?! Crazy how time flies
Why did i miss this? Why did i sleep? It was time to listen.
This video is an artwork.
would yall PLEASE keep it up? Dont EVER quit...we need GOOD music.
JID flow is dangerous to the industry
It will change the sound instantly
It's been almost 2 years since I found these guys and i'm still replaying this at least twice a week.

I put colours on the spectrum I let you assign them worth...
No color has less or more worth! We are all people not a fucking rainbow.
Masta ! Mind ! That's not how society wants to live.
I'd like to thank J.Cole for saving and promoting real rap‼💯🔥🔥😎🐐

Facts!
This the kinda Atlanta hip hop I miss. Dungeon family would be proud.
If we as a species stop all hate across the globe, God will show himself to all of us.
I recognized the Oh Land sample and I got chills when the beat dropped..
So my mind was blown before the flow even came in, I must be like a puddle now or something
Looking for Peace in America....
Then Come back to God's laws
KING OF THE JOFUNDIES Stop force feeding people your beliefs. It’s toxic and off putting
Tremendous depth in this soundtrack. Great talent and beautiful minds🧠.
"Everybody wanna be a nigga but nobody wanna be a nigga when time to be a nigga " is insane🤔🤫😎👏👏👏👍
"Okay, everybody wanna be a nigga, but nobody wanna be a nigga when it's time to be a nigga."
-That's the line that hits you immediately, and then comes back on you every now and again for the rest of your life.
The epitome of a classic!
The amount of talent in their hair alone, deserves a Grammy
You were made on purpose for a beautiful purpose, your not an accident... your creator loves and knows you by name and is ready you to give you a hope and a future a peace and love that can't be found anywhere else ... nothing in this world will ever satisfy. Jesus is the way the truth and life, turn and call to Him and He will reveal Himself in the most wonderful way
The really sad part is that this song is still as relevant today as it was almost 3 years ago. Only thing that changed is the date.
The future of hip hop is in good hands
🌋🔥🔥🔥🔥

@@nagualscabone3208 stop lying
@@Redknowledge.c its ignorant to just believe everyone is something based on their race. Thats like saying all black people steal, all hispanics are illegal, all asians eat dogs, etc.. Not all white people are ignorant
Zachary Bibbs by saying he is lying... you are literally doing exactly what the lyrics said not to do
JID is literally amazing
