    Dude, raylib abstracts just enough of everything we need the way we want it to be abstracted. It hits everything just right: Math and Low level application stuff (opengl, audio, image, keyboard, mouse). GLFW is too low level, plain SDL lacks some abstraction on audio, image and text rendering so we got to download and manage its modules as well, and i refuse myself to have OOP forced down my throat (SFML).
    Bruh. Raylib is THE GOAT of GAME PROGRAMMING!
    Good video. God bless Telescopic Johnson and Raysama

    One of my favorite things about raylib is how much joy and enthusiasm ray himself not only has for this project but for everything made with raylib and the community maintained bindings and everything. It's hard to put into words how much I love this ecosystem and how much I admire the way he operates. Such a great interview!

    Raylib is one of the most important projects on the planet. It reminds me of what the Allegro game programming library was in the 90's -- which, along with DJGPP, allowed us poor kids to have a legit C/C++ multimedia programming environment for free.

    • @OliNorwell
      @OliNorwell 6 месяцев назад +1

      Yup! Reading DJGPP just there brought back memories! I used Allegro and that in my earliest projects.

    For a non mathematical and weird dyslectic issues kind of person like me, it was a little hard to grasp the methodology of Raylib. But after a while it's makes sense and Raysan's pedagogical way of constructing Raylib, shines through the way, it can used. It have always been easier for me learn or understand programming, when using graphics.
    Back then 40 years ago, when computers took one second to boot, we had almost everything we need to code and was easily accessible. Raylib does almost the same, without OOP and thanks fully C99.
    I have written CRM for my wife's business. A little relational database with four tables, queries, forms and reports on screen and printer, using Raylib as a graphical interface and for the printer. Being mostly a hobby programmer, the text editing on the screen and cursor was the most difficult task for me to make. But I would never have done that without Raylib.

    Self contained + clean API is THE best raylib feature, you don't even need a build system to integrate it! Great project.

    I'm going to try raylib this week! I've been doing WebGL since it was experimental, and SDL before that. This is my first step into compiled graphics in a decade. Raylib sounds amazing. I have high hopes!!! ❤
