- Earlier this year, Dean Martha Minow sat down for a talk with Benjamin B. Ferencz '43, who served as a chief prosecutor in the Nuremberg Trials. Ferencz has written extensively on the importance of a permanent international criminal tribunal to ensure enforcement of international law.
This man is amazing and has done so much for mankind, shamefully the average person doesn't even know this man!!!! Here he was at 28 years old, standing on a stool looking at evil literally steps away at the Nuremberg Trials. Not only did he coin the term "crimes against humanity", he (and the rest of the team) was able to convict every one of the 22 men that the courtroom only had room for.
This man is a real treasure to our world. His gumption and tenacity is a real gift. In his 100th year, he is still sharp as a sword! God bless you, Ben Ferencz!!
This guy faced down the worst of the Nazi regime, constructed whole new hierarchies of international law, and all at the age of 27. And he's STILL kicking!
The fact that this guy isn't a household name is extraordinary
Here it is: A superior being!
I wanna hug and kiss him and say thank you to him. It's unbelievable how you can love someone so dearly, thousands of miles away having never met them. Thank you for all that you've done, Ben.
This precious human being passed away 2023
During his lifetime he gave millions of dollars away to worthy causes
93 years old ( 95 now) and as sharp as a pin. He prosecuted the Einsatzgruppen after the Nuremberg trials. He is one of the few left who can see see the broad sweep of History.
deepinder cheema 97 now :)
@@tennisdude52278 101 now !
@@user-hs3dg8jy3t He made it to 103. Jesus.
@@carnage0685 He did. I sent this interview to BBC HARDtalk in 2017 and by golly they sent Zenieb Bahdarwi to interview him. That interview was used on the BBC news. His passing has been noted and I got in there when he was still a young man
*BEN FERENCZ = A True Hero, Icon & Legend For All Time*
Thanks for the amazing interview, I am so inspired by this great man.
HOW how can we have moved along with him this century, and this man is not today recognized as one of the truly great Citizens Of The World?
A man for all seasons!
Would love to meet Mr Ferenz and learn from and work for him. His career is amazing. Thank you for your service.
What a fantastic mind! Tank you for your brilliant way of telling what happened in WWII and the Holocaust !👍❤️Moszonjuk!

I could listen to this extraordinary man talk all day!
I love this man so incredibly much. He and Nelson Mandela would’ve been great friends ~
100% Agreed.
Here after reading his book "Make it count" 😊 A little man who did BIG things 🙇♀️
Great interview; thank you all for sharing!
Ferencz passed away a week ago. He was a brave and noble man.
May he rest in peace and righteousness.
Let's honor Mr. Ferencz by doing all we can to end wars.
Amen.
Thanks for sharing. 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾
Salutation sir, Excellent Job.
God bless you, Ben Ferencz, for speaking out against war. War is a foolhardy business indeed.
He realised war was stupid. Indeed it is. Law not war. "All crimes are committed in war".
Despite the lessons of history crimes against humanity continue to be perpetrated.
Ben Ferencz was a great human being.
How this does not have 10 million views is sickening
Nice interview. I liked his definition of crimes against humanity. How do we make war unpopular?
Why aren't guys like this elected President of the USA?
Greatest respect and admiration for this man. What an incredible story, incredible man.
Rest in Peace with gratitude from humanity.
Lest, we never forget. It's up to history that every generation learns every aspect of World War II! Listen and learn well kids!!
very fascinating man know his nephew his mind is still sharp at 98 years old
You are so lucky. I just want to meet him once.
My hero.
Please state what the date of this interview was - earlier this year is too imprecise especially for a LAW SCHOOL
Dean Martha should go back to hopping tables. I hate to see a rushed interview.
Yes, she interrupted his flow a bit.
You re wrong , as a ham an egger of a radio host I ve learned that time can be you re enemy when you have to jam alot of info in a 1 hr show or less especially with a long winded guest like Ben especially when he stays on one topic longer than he should .She needs him to move along to piece together his interesting life and career in 49 min.The good part is you ask him one question and he takes it from there and almost interviews himself but you need hours to do him and her justice . In spite of my long winded answer ,He is a wonderful man .

@Ricardo Laakso No human is all the same except religious sheep like yourself... You have no free thought it is sad but true
My father , pulled the trigger on more German combatants than most ! His fist shot at the enemy! A Spandau was replied with 2 hrs from 12 to 13 spandaues approx 10,000 rounds while he moved around the ditch he had fired from! That's a 10,000 to one ratio !
Ben looked like a bookworm but was actually a total savage lol hope he rests in peace
