Been looking for this like crazy as well, loved it when I first played the campaign. Some parts of it remind me of The Resonant Canyon and The Gauntlet from the Hyper Light Drifter soundtrack
This mission was a complete throwback to Combat evolved. Back then you were defending the pillar of autumn from covenant invaders, but now you’re the invader of the banished frigate
@@DanielBlaney I mean it's alright. Warship Gbrakkon and Spire is my favourite. Also most of the outpost's and some of the marine rescue missions are awesome.
@@115spt2 spire was pretty short though, you fight some hunters below the spire and then you fight adjutant resolution and it's over. were you talking about the command spire?
Was looking for the ambient layer for The Banished and found this. I really love how it sounds without the drums, especially at 6:49. It really sets a somber but slightly hopeful tone as you start to understand how demoralized the Pilot is while trying to get back on your feet in the face of insurmountable odds. Certain themes like the ending monk chant in Reverie or the notes of the monk chant in Endless are used here but made understated and incomplete as a way of making you feel broken while foreshadowing what is to come. Many of the tones alternate between soft horns and such that one would hear on a spaceship like the Gbraakon, soft and echoey chords mirroring the beauty yet brokenness of Zeta Halo, and the slow but desperate voice of the violins showing how close humanity is to being wiped out. The moment in the end where you’re sent helplessly hurdling into space was really sold by the distant and space-like subdued string screeches, and the relief that comes as your view drifts up to see Zeta Halo in its entirety with Reverie’s magical opening at 27:28 while your armor receives the message left me feeling distant and stranded, yet awestruck and filled with wonder and hope. No dialogue needed, just the possession of an empty data card paired with a single look at both the Ring and your armor’s onscreen systems, and you know exactly what you're going to do next while still being able to revel in the mystery and majesty of the moment. Thank you for your work in finding, mixing, and posting these proper soundtracks.
Really the moment that was perfect for me was that beautiful shot of the Zeta halo ring and its reverie theme at 27:00. That variant of reverie is so beautiful, it sounds so beautiful and masterful. Thank you very much for bringing us the in-game music, the game has interesting and sentimental variants of its soundtracks.
Man, I really don't how is it that you don't have more views/subs, you have amazing takes that nobody else have pulled on all Yt. Keep up the great work!
2:23
I’m surprised no one is talking about this aggressive build up
Its a real shame a majority of the varients are not heard in the released ost. massive props to you for uploading them :D
Can't be more agree
12:38 Massive halo reach firefight vibes
27:26 sounds so good this is the only video that has this version of reverie
I've been looking everywhere for this masterpiece. 5:04

I loved the Gbraakon escape part and heavy artillery alt. I’m surprised you don’t have more views / subs. You deserve em

Shame that this is basically the best mission in the game
its a dreadnought, not a frigate
@@115spt2 house of reckoning is pretty damn awesome.

holy shit man these mixes are absolutely amazing keep it up!!! I am literally mindblown!!!!
6:00 is beautiful !!!
23:20 beautiful
Thank you for this video
Thank you!
I can't tell if Gbraakon Escape is an Unyielding remake or not, they both have very similar tones, minus the guitar
That piano is straight out of ‘Tip of the Spear’ and I love it
Aliens in the headlines might be a good way to begin.
How is the gbraakon escape better than the ost version? My ears just died when I heard it. It’s so good
I want the full version of the Banished (ambient) T.T
It's on his channel
So now you've all seen what star wars really looks like.
So dont stare at the yeti when he is walking down your street. Its impolite.
The part at 18:55 sounds really weird, like it doesn't transition correctly? Like the previous part gets cut off too soon
He does that with all his videos lol
Mixing this stuff is harder than it seems because of how the soundtrack works. It happens a few times throughout the videos but it's ignorable
If you get abducted just give 'em a little kiss hello...or is it halo?
Still no moon
