    Determining they were about equal on the air was no surprise to me.
    The comparison I would be more interested in how weather resistant they are using various styles of mounts.
    Do both the NMO and the SO-239 antennae have O-rings around their bases? Will those O-rings provide an effective seal with various types of mounts? 🤔

      The NMO is oring sealed. The so239 is not. However, the so239 does have many more threads and fits much deeper with the antenna itself having a rubber seal. I haven't personally had a weather related issue on my so239.
      From my internet findings, a slight majority of "experts", find that NMO withstands weathering better but will update later if a weathering related issue comes up!
