"The history of purses dates back more than 5000 years. A man known as Otzi the Iceman, who is Europe's oldest natural mummy, was found in the Alps in 1991 with a handbag next to him. The bag was made out of chamois hide and had a strap attached to it."
Great review! I have a black one on order. Very few reviewers mentions strap length, fully extended. That's vital information for some potential customers. Could you consider doing that in future reviews of cross-body carry bags/slings?
I've purchased from Alpha One Niner before and saw this on the site and always wondered about it, nice to see it in more detail. I'm really finnicky about on-body feel and how bags lay when one moves. A19ers backpack harness is like A+. I care more about straps an body feel than organization lol, I can work around a bags organization, but if it don't feel right I hate wearing it. I usually watch the last bit of your reviews first so I can get a sense of the thing (lol make that part longer).
@@ThePerfectBag well maybe just drag it out longer so its not covered up by the thumbnail popups for other videos at the end. Maybe show you moving from back carry to front if its a sling, different levels for some of the smaller ones (high on chest, lower on side etc.) maybe observations on how the strap feels, how easy it is to adjust on the fly. Does the bag lay flat, or leave a gap, or sag (mostly for backpacks)? That sort of thing. Thanks buddy.
Great review as always, Klint. I'm not really a big 'murse' guy (I'm a little ashamed to admit) and I got turned off to this Chio X right at the start. I liked everything you touched on though and when you wore it, I thought it looked like any other bag I wear all the time. In fact, I love my Mystery Ranch District 8 bag and it looks alot like this when I wear mine. Perhaps I really am a big murse guy afterall! Anyway, I like it alot and thanks for sharing this beauty. If they make a junior sized Chio X with aquaguards and maybe a nice shoulder pad some day, I'm in big time!
Hello mate, thanks for the review. To the point around “murse” I think this just looks like a messenger bag 🤷 I think this hits the perfect sweet spot before you enter backpack territory. For years I had tried smaller packs in the 14-18L range and found them either too small in terms of actual carry, or too cumbersome for lighter rucks. That’s when I got into slings, and now I need something a bit bigger… this looks perfect. Thanks again
Their website really stinks. You can’t get any kind of description when you click on it from your cellular phone. It doesn’t give you any information whatsoever. They are just not good. I don’t know about the bag yet. I have not got it. Thank you for a very awesome video, and what is up when you try to click on the description under the video there’s no place to go. It doesn’t give you any of the description in your videos.
Sir, can you please link your edc pouch/wallet featured in this video? I cannot get the name right and it seems rather interesting. Amazing video (as usual), even if i should stay away… i have way too many bags, backpacks and pouches!
That’s a custom version of the pocketbook slim from Greenroom136 called the tuna tin. Here’s the standard version - www.greenroom136.com/shop/PocketBook-Slim-c4603097
Hey Klint! How is this one holding up for you? Have you reviewed anything since with a similar form factor, crossbody, that you prefer? I’m very close to pulling the trigger on this one but just want to make sure I’m not missing a good alternative.
Still have it - still love it. I've got a new one from Masterpiece that's very similar. But I still like this better. I do wish I had more options for colors - but this still reigns supreme for me.
@@ThePerfectBag Thank you, that is what I needed to hear! Turns out A1N sells unused returns at a discount, so I just ordered a Chio-X in blue for $70, and I grabbed the clip on organizer for the rear pocket too. This looks to be exactly what I need, larger than a sling and smaller than a backpack, designed to be worn crossbody. Thanks for everything you do, your channel has so much value!
@@ThePerfectBag Just popping in with an update, I got the Chio X, attached the back pocket organizer, and transferred everything from my Loculus into the Chio. It’s exactly what I was looking for, more carrying capacity than a sling and I much prefer the satchel style crossbody to the around the back sling style. The back pocket organizer adds that next level of organization I need, while still keeping the main compartment cavernous enough to pop in some larger items without issue. And because it has larger dimensions the weight feels more evenly distributed than the sling did. I think I did in fact find the perfect bag for me! Thanks again!
Isn't a big purse just a shoulder bag? Also the term murse is awful. Why specify who "can wear" a product. What I've understood to be a purse would be those thin strapped super tiny shoulder bags you can't fit anything besides the bare essentials. Basically just fits the stuff you would be expected to carry in your pockets.
It’s a fairly common term, murse - but I get and support your point for sure. This bag looks a lot like a purse and I’m loving it - I agree that anyone can use any bag they want 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
The whole “murse” thing is what I call america dumb. (PEOPLE) all over this planet have been carrying bags for thousands of years. And what way is the most efficient in order to simultaneously carry the bag, still have use of your hands, and still have the quickest access to the bag??? The answer is crossbody or shoulder strap. Nothing really has changed in that aspect except people’s opinion on the way a man is supposed to carry a bag. In fact that opinion has mainly only changed here in the states. I am not exactly sure when then general consensus here changed, if I were to guess it probably was sometime in the 50’s or 60’s. I have seen a bunch of picturers from the 20’s of men wearing what I would call a sacoche. Then almost the entire 30’s there was The Great Depression, so I’d say people were using whatever was available to carry what stuff they had left. Most of the 40’s was WWII, and there were even shoulder bags made for the soldiers. By the end of the 80’s I was a little kid but aware enough to know that boys “didn’t wear purses”. And then in the 90’s when the fanny pack became really popular. Sometimes people would just throw it on or over their shoulder real quick but if those people were guys, they would get made fun of, I can not remember hearing the word “murse” until the late late 90’s early 2000’s. Just a thought maybe it was the beatniks of the 40’s or the hippies of the 60’s. I could see the mainstream back then hating everything about them, including their sacoches and bum bags. Maybe thats how the american idea that men should not wear any kind of bag except big, boxy, briefcases, that are probably uncomfortable, or super tactical rugged backpacks. This kind of idea is still even now very prevalent in this country especially here in the south or in middle america. Don’t believe me, wear even a tote type bag to the coffee shop or even to the park or something and pay attention to the looks and finger pointing and laughs you will get unless that tote bag is your kids with toys in it, it better be some kind of hunting “gear hauler” lol in which you pull out the hatchet you made, or a giant turkey leg to destroy, if you cut up at all it better be with the fixed blade you have in a kydex sheath para corded to the outside of the bag. So I love seeing things like this and videos like this from people like you good sir… T.
Now we can't take sling bags into even a solar store but the say nothing to women wearing even bigger purses ? Go figure. I'm definitely not a kid almost 60now.

Can’t explain why but your bag videos are so entertaining just keep doing you and being yourself. I think that’s the key 👍

Love the rear pockets
Don't love the purse shape
Yup. Not for everyone. If you can sacrifice cool factor for utility, it's an epic bag.
Hi. Can I check what color is this ? Is this the epx240 blue ? Thank you
Yes- that's right

Where do these bags ship from? I ordered one today, but I don’t know where it ships from. I ordered it in gray.
I hope you love it. It should ship from Vietnam or Singapore. I believe Singapore.
