Just love your new stove - it's so nice if you do tons of cooking - I'm so happy for you and your husband with your kitchen remodeling - very exciting and I am looking forward to watching it progress; even better than HGTV!!! I'm also looking forward to what you have in mind for your fall garden. Take care
We just purchased this same flex duo oven by Samsung. I am trying to figure it out. We tested it out by purchasing a pack of pre-shaped cookies and put two in the top oven. They ended up getting cooked more than what we were thinking on the top but still mushy on the inside. Can someone tell me what I did wrong? Can we only bake the cookies in the bottom oven? Or when the entire oven is available?
You will need to gauge the temperature when using it and whether or not you’re using the convection portion of the oven. Sometimes you may need to turn the temperature down. I wouldn’t use the convection portion if it burns your cookies on the outside.
If you use just the top oven and not the bottom, how hot will the bottom part become simply due to the heat leakage from the top? For example, if i want to broil or cook at 450 degrees on just the top, is it still safe for me to leave my extra pots and pans stored in the bottom oven?
Im not cooking nothing too crazy but seems like a neat idea. I believe I oughta just come eat at your place 😂 My old stove just looks rough on the glass part. On the bottom drawer it depends, I think on lower end stuff it is basically just a drawer. I keep baking sheets and cast iron down there 😅
I am so sorry Norma...no we have not tried the dehydrator gal, we have a counter top one. If you do, will you let me know? Thank you again for watching gal! Jill
Hi! I just bought one and I can’t seem to work the oven. When I use either top or bottom it sets to 350 but I can’t seem to bring the temperature up. When I push the number buttons nothing happens. After using it at 350 we hit the off button but oven doesn’t seem to turn off. We have to pull the oven out to unplug it. Any suggestions? Are we using it wrong?
@ntxg do you have a contact I can talk to you personally about operating this unit. Just a few questions, we picked this up 2nd hand and trying to get used to different features compared to typical ovens.
Yes. I’ve never used a convection oven before. I was told 25 less degrees or 25% less time than a conventional oven. We love the Samsung so far (2 months).
I have one I'm not looking so far I have had it for 2 weeks. It's hard for me to use the oven and the burners get to a certain temperature and it stops can you give me some advice on how to use it
Hi Johan. It took us a bit too to get the temps down, especially on the convection oven. I have found it takes quite a bit less time to bake than the stated baking time. I would cook 2/3 rds of the time it states on the recipe. I am okay with the burners so far and not seeing much difference there but I had a similar cook top before. It will take some practice. Keep me posted.

I am looking at getting a Samsung Flex Duo range. I have a question that I can’t find/get the answer to. When using both ovens does the heat exchange between the two. I am wanting to, at times, cook something in the upper oven and something else at different temperature in the other. Does it work well? Also have you baked something such as cookies in the upper oven, how does it bake not having elements. Do you find that the top heats up slower? Such as boil water?
Hi Joanne. We are able to use both ovens at the same time on different temps, they have separate thermostats. The top takes a bit to heat up but once it does it pretty steady, takes some adjusting too. I do not use the convection on the top as it will brown too fast. I like it over all and am able to cook our holidays meals much easier gal. Hopes this helps. Jill
After 4 years do you still have the same experience with this stove? I'm shopping for a new one for my parents, and this was one of the very few that seemed to fit the requirements of a double oven, convection, rear control. My concerns on this specific model are quite a few people not only talking about the easy scratchable top surface, but that it started bubbling in places after only a few weeks. Another concern is the flimsy feeling plastic handle you click to open just the top oven.... that just seems to me to be a bad place to cheap out on the quality when the rest of it seems very solid construction. Any major parts that you have had to replace? Fan, control board, door hinges, etc? Thanks ahead of time for your reply. My mother is super picky and some of the reviews she has seen have her concerned with it.
We’ve not had any issues with the above. The top door began sticking just recently. My husband sprayed Pam on it and it seem to remedy it for the most part. Of course the glass top is scratched but it’s because I can on it using my pressure canner and I’m not worried about cosmetics like that but it doesn’t look too bad and I can usually polish it up with some stainless steel polish and it looks pretty good. I will say that appliances nowadays do not last very long. We bought a Cabrio washer and dryer at the same time And the dryer has already bit the dust. I don’t care for the washer. We also bought an LG dishwasher at the same time and it has never worked right we have to struggle with it all the time and it was a $700 purchase. Also our LG refrigerator Had the compressor go out twice already we bought this at the same time to. It was under warranty so it was repaired so all in all I’d say the stove has held up way better than any of the other appliances that we bought at the same time. I hope this helps
We're considering this oven but we've always used gas in the past. We're not encouraged at how easily the top gets scratched. We're curious how quickly the top oven heats to 400? Would you go with electric again if you were buying today or gas if hookups weren't a factor?
Hi Spicoli. Yes the top got scratched right away I try to buff it out so its not noticeable. I haven't timed the top oven but will do and let you know. I have never used gas, my hubs has though and he prefers gas over electric. Thank you for watching! We appreciate you.
Hidy NAOFS...We still love it! Used the self cleaning mode last weekend, worked great! Incenerated everything...even the ashes! LOL. Only took 3 hours too. I remember my older one took allllll day. Thank you for watching and let me know if you have any other questions!
Haha! I've had this oven about 5 months and am very confused about it. I only know how to use the bake. One thing I never preheat. Do you even have to preheat? Convection I'm also confused about. Wifi!!?? I didnt know it had wifi, how do you program that? And we still use the warming drawer for cookie sheets, but I have learned with my last oven, dont ever put stone pizza pan in it, it broke in half. Also the day we got it, we had new pans too. We used our new pan on the round large one and after the first use it scratched the top burner. I'm a house cleaner and I've had plenty of glass smooth tops and I've never had this problem. Its etched where it cant be removed. I need to call with warranty, but never have time.
Hi Brenda, it does take some getting used to if you’re not familiar with the convection oven. I usually back off about 25 degrees from the recommended cooking temps - 325 instead of 350 etc. This works pretty good for me. The upper oven works well but does heat from the top. So, I typically heat covered dishes in the upper. The stove top works well, but it does seem to have a mind of its own at times… It seems to Hi and low well, but medium heat doesn’t seem as stable - automatically adjusts burners based on? I’m not sure. The wireless feature can be used to start the oven remotely, but we haven’t used it and so far haven’t had a need for it. The cook top will scratch! Be careful with the big heavy pots etc. trying not to slide them. Ours scratched within a couple of months… We thought it might be a crack so we did call CS, a tech came out and they would not cover scratches or cracks. All and all we are happy with it, other than the easily scratching cook top. It just takes a little practice using the oven but works great! Thanks for watching! Jill
I have had this since June 2017. Not happy. The black enamel is very fragile for kitchen use. the oven door is hard to clean. especially between the glass. if you have a spill it may drip into the openings on the top of the oven door. it has been impossible to clean. I removed the entire door as per the manual. ever since then it does not close properly. the hot air from the oven pushes the door open enough that you can heR the oven clicking on and off.
Thank you for this review!! We just purchased the Samsung products for our new kitchen that will be completed in about 6 months. How did it hold up for the holidays?
I'm in Canada and understood just fine too. You can slow down videos too if you didn't know that. Very useful when cooking along with someone or in my case, for crafting!
Thank you for posting this review. It is so much more helpful than other videos on this oven that I have seen. You are great at this!
Awe thank you Janet! I hope you stick with us and watch more of our videos! We are still very pleased with it
Thank you for the review! First practical one from someone who has used it that I have found.
Very welcome Melissa! We still like ours and it is super easy to clean

It has been for us!
@@ntxgthank you for your feedback, that is good news!
Do you still like this oven? Also how is the top with clean and scratches or pan burns?
We do! I use the glass top cleaner and it looks pretty nice, there are scratches because I use it to Ken on as well but overall it’s still pretty good

I've had mine for three months! I love it❤️
YAY!!! Congrats Lady!
Nice vid...thanks!
Can you switch off the convection? & have you used the dehydrator?
Hi Norma...thank you for watching and yes you can! It takes getting used to doesnt it! Hope you are well. Blessings, Jill
Thank you for your time...although what about the dehydrator, have you tried it? If so, how did you like it? Have a blessed weekend.
I am so sorry Norma...no we have not tried the dehydrator gal, we have a counter top one. If you do, will you let me know? Thank you again for watching gal! Jill
When I do, I will let you know. God bless.

Ohhhh I’d call and return it, it’s not working correctly!
What do you think about your oven now, almost 2 years later?
Hi Jeff...we are still enjoying it! I would buy it again for sure.
How do I do the WiFi?
Can the top portion hold a full cookie sheet?
It sure can
Thank you for this review!
So far we love it DeltaBoy!
My surface light stays on but everything works still
I’ve not had that issue🥹
it doesn't effect any functions so 🤷
@ntxg do you have a contact I can talk to you personally about operating this unit. Just a few questions, we picked this up 2nd hand and trying to get used to different features compared to typical ovens.
Have you noticed when using the upper oven, cooking times are different than a normal oven?
Yes...quicker times. How about you Ryan?
Yes. I’ve never used a convection oven before. I was told 25 less degrees or 25% less time than a conventional oven. We love the Samsung so far (2 months).

Great vid. Q? What amp breaker, awg wire & 3 or 4 wire outlet are you using? Samsung recommends 40 amp
Let me ask the Hubs. BRB.
Thank you so much
Thank you Arixx! Appreciate you heaps.
