- There are several compelling reasons to use pure nitrogen in tires. First is that nitrogen is less likely to migrate through tire rubber than is oxygen, which means that your tire pressures will remain more stable over the long term.
Passenger cars can also benefit from the more stable pressures. But there's more: Humidity (water) is a Bad Thing to have inside a tire. Water, present as a vapor or even as a liquid in a tire, causes more of a pressure change with temperature swings than dry air does. It also promotes corrosion of the steel or aluminum rim. Filling tires with nitrogen involves filling and purging several times in succession, serially diluting the concentration of oxygen in the tire. This will also remove any water.
So, there are the benefits: With nitrogen, your tire pressures will remain more constant, saving you a small amount in fuel and tire-maintenance costs. There will be less moisture inside your tires, meaning less corrosion on your wheels.

Sir ji,(sharing experience)During longest drive, i ve fil NITROGEN GAS in my Skoda car tyres and found it's pressure increases by 2to4 IPS ,The weather condition is semi rainy and speed is under 120 kmph, road was some where is so bumpy.The fuel efficiency is fine.

I use Nitrogen for my VW Polo. I feel better while driving. Mileage also increases by 1 to 2 %
And Riding comfort also better.
Especially, when I use Nitrogen on my Honda Unicorn (has Bigger Tyres) give good Driving comfort even on Rough roads
More over, Nitrogen pressure retain longer on Car tyres 2-3 Months.,
On Bike tyres somehow pressure is coming down within 40 to 45 days only.
This is my experience with Nitrogen 🙏
Oxygen molecules dia is 292 picometer and Nitroden dia is 300 picometer. Very small difference. Air already has 79% nitrogen. Gas expand as per PV=nRT
So hardly there is difference in pressure, leakage, expansion. Only oxidation of iron rim is a minor issue.
My car air pressure do not change from service to service.

I bought new bike around 3 months ago... And serviced 2 times and the service center stated that I should always fill n2... And it costs me rs 35 everytime for n2.

just one correction, not every petrol pump charges for nitrogen, i get free nitrogen gas in my activa if i fill more than 300 rs of petrol and above rs 1500 for four wheelers, it's basically free, so it's definitely better than compressed air if u get nitrogen free in a petrol pump if u have one like that in your city

In Bangalore, filling nitrogen is just Rs.10 per tyre. Its economical
