Love how dragonspine, tsurumi ,enkanomiya and the chasm's soundtracks have melancholy tunes. Kinda hints to how these regions were once inhabited by different civilizations under the jurisdiction of the primordial one. However, now what's left of them are abandoned ruins and wall carvings lost to time after Celestia destroyed them. In the case of enkanomiya, the people moved to the surface and became the people of sangonomiya and lived on watatsumi as a part of Inazuma.
Enkanomiyans were part of the single unified civilization on the surface then they sunk beneath the depths because of the war of the first two descenders Edit: So in a sense the new people of sangonomiya and watatsumi are relatives and descendants of the oldest bygone civilization
“Tearless Souls of Byakuya” and “Hope or Nostalgia” are probably the most hauntingly beautiful musical pieces in all of Genshin so far. It’s eerie but nostalgic, grand but also quiet. It really does encapsulate a once great civilization now empty and abandoned.
2:36 I remember walking into enkanomiya for the first time and this music played and I was so entranced by it I stopped to just listen to the entire thing it’s so tauntingly beautiful. It gives me corpse bride vibes a lil

enkanomiya is so hauntingly beautiful. a place once flourishing, a place once harboring hope, emotion, life, and sacrifice. it lays in the depths of inazuma, a civilization lost to time, and without a deity. some tracks have emotion and depths, and some, feel comforting. an empty, and eerie sort of comfort.
I didn't think anything could hit me as hard as dragonspine's soundtrack (which I am sentimental about as dragonspine was launched when i started the game a year ago) but god. enkankmiya's soundscape absolutely knocked it out of the park. Absolutely reverant, lonely, in awe, and with a weight to the air.
Indeed there were. In order to show the clash between styles of Sangonomiya and Enkanomiya, Dainichi Mikoshi tracks were modified to be accompanied with traditional Japanese instruments. Not only music-wise, but this clash of styles was even present visually, such as the existence of Sangonomiya Samurai in Enkanomiya itself. Though, there being shimenawas in front of Dainichi Mikoshi was the biggest clash of styles. The only drawback is that... I don't think those three tracks are included in this album...
