Zaalbar is Tricked Into Killing Mission and Wants Revenge

- Darth Revan is reborn and some of the party members aren't too thrilled about it. After Carth Onasi fled for his life, Mission Vao thinks Revan hasn't turned. Revan decides to use another tactic instead of killing Mission himself by using the Force to trick Zaalbar into killing his best friend. Later on the Star Forge, Zaalbar realizes what he has done and tries to kill Revan to get his revenge and fails miserably.

That's why i dont like light side. They speak about "we are the goods and they are the evil". Everything black and white for them but life is not like that. If you have strong mind and you are a dark side person, you can be greatest person ever lived in universe.

Nepe you're saying T3-M4 is the worst companion? I have to disagree. Obviously, a game like this allows for a plethora of different experiences but T3 saved my ass several times in my first playthrough.

I didnt back when i first played it..and i just recently beat it again on the Android App (got it for free thru amazon) & playing the whole time as a Sith just made me feel like a dick lol
Jayy Cee Half the time being light side felt pretty dumb. Running around doing errands on planets days away from being nuked to death, it's just not efficient.
I spend days trying to figure out how to turn everyone into a Jedi and make them evil...but i think i chose the wrong type of Jedi when i was on Dantoine. I think if i had picked Counselor class i would have the ability to make them jedi

***** Yeah in no.2 you drag everyone down or up with you. In this one you cant really change anyone's mind (except Bastilia but she's pretty suggestible and you have the same bond with her that the Exile has with everyone in 2).
I consider this the most evil thing you can do in the game (or perhaps any video game).
eviad vs well, you can do plenty of evil things in the game. For instance, destroy the whole republican fleet and jedi council in one blow and thus killing thousands of people, but doing so didn´t make me feel as bad as having Mission killed by her best friend. However, your sarcasm is understandable. I know I´m not alone on this one.
eviad vs Same here,lol. I liked Kotor 2. Especially the "classes" and making lightsaber with crystals and everything. The story is a bit worse tho, but still good. Enjoy the games.

I did this. I didn't feel great about it. Dunno who I felt more sorry for. Mission, being betrayed and stabbed in the back by the only true friend she's ever had, or Zaalbar, having Revan exploit one of his people's most sacred traditions, being forced to kill his best friend and being left a broken shell of a man/wookie.
I always liked this scene. Not because I felt good about poor Mission, but because it added a truly dark note to the story and immersed the player. It made it easier to take seriously, because the Dark Side is shown as something truly sinister and evil, not so teen angsty.
I honestly feel really sad about killing Mission. She's honestly my favorite in the group. =(

josue betances first of all it's always been a rule from LucasArts that ANY game that offers multiple endings in the Star Wars universe HAS to have the Light side ending as canon. (George Lucas himself made that rule).
Secondly KotOR isn't canon anymore since Disney bought the franchise.

Actually, there is a mod where you can force persuade her into coming with you, but as soon as she steps foot on the star forge she freezes into the T-stance.

Yeah, it is called the _dark side,_ but I don't think anyone was expecting _this_ to be an option... When you mention a "dark side path" in a video game, people will usually think of an evil decision at the very end or mean dialogue options that don't actually effect the plot whatsoever.
KOTOR, however, is different. What's surprising is not that you can do bad things on the bad side, but how far it goes with that with what options it gives you. In KOTOR, you can kill everyone on your team if you wanted to, which already is shocking with how little "choice" is in "choice-based games" nowadays... But that's only the _beginning_ of the cruelty allowed here. Like in this clip, you can use the force to make someone kill their best friend (who is 14 btw) you can bring Carth to his long lost son only to kill him in front of his father, you can make Bastila join you on the dark side or even just kill her while staying on the dark side path anyway, and you can gaslight and manipulate _every_ character...
So yeah, it's the "dark side" but that doesn't make horrific acts like this any less shocking.

This video makes me sad, i liked mission, but i'm glad you covered the floor with that carpet. ;)
This was the hardest choice I've had to make in the game by far, when I played the Dark Side run. Not only were they some of my favorite characters, they were some of the most useful characters in my roster. Mission was able to gather mines and get through security despite her not being the strongest. And Big Z was both strong and a surprisingly good mechanic and hacker.
Mission is actually extremely strong if you abuse a couple mechanics. Just run her behind any enemy in melee and rapid shot them with dual wielded blasters. The +10 bonus to close range shooting means that basically every shot will hit, and her sneak attack damage climbs into the 50s per shot at higher levels IIRC.
Of course, what's easier is just bringing 3 jedi, min-maxing your save DCs, and spamming stasis field/destroy droid and wiping the floor with every single encounter.
@@spinloki Yup as long as you have stasis or Insanity it's easy to get that scoundrel damage bonus. And dual wield blasters with master rapid shot

This was one of the most memorable moments from my first playthrough of KotOR. Still brings a grin to my face as I recall it.

when i tried playing as a grumpy character the game reset back to the intro movie that leads to the main menu every time before the cutscene happened where zaalbar kills mission.
i also had him with melee weapons equipped so i just assumed that the game developers thought it'd be too brutal.

you are correct, one thing mission says in combat is "just die already", when zaalbar was firing it was considered as combat, and that at the time triggered her to say that line.

Actually in all my star wars games i always go lightside. but just this once i decided to go dark side in this game. And for most of the game the dark side options didn't make me feel like a true Lord of the Sith, my options just made me come across as an asshole.
...up until you regain your identity as Darth Revan, thats when i started having a fucking blast being pure evil incarnate. you should try it out :P
You don't have to play DS all the way, the point of no return is just that at the top of the temple, LS/DS points are just for game play to make force points cheaper, options for these points are either naively good or psychotic evil, none of them make sense, they're cringe worthy though. So if you don't mind about force points, no reason to pursue either points....just wear armor, shield and spam stimulants :))

When i first played this, my dad always to me to choice my paths wisely. I wanted to be good, but then he told me how easy it was to fall to the dark side. I told him i wouldn't go evil, but apperently its so fun being on the Dark side. I killed, and killed, and then i did some good things, but mostly stayed Dark Side.
