3:01 the knee bend is actually somewhat a problem on all Optimus Prime because I have it too. Also my Megatron figure has a tight head that can move but takes a lot of strength so can anyone help me on that?
Just wanted to say, I bought both of these figures off Ali Express just so I could swap arms with Megatron. It's quickly become one of my favorite small-scale Optimus figures because of it.
both these and the blockees really deserve a western importation. they're the perfect collectible, simple enough for kids but detailed enough for collectors. Im more partial to the blockees (because of their squat aesthetics) but I see the appeal in these too. Here's hoping they make a Nemesis Prime so I can give myself an excuse to buy one of these guys
@@CardboardBots i havent. the blockees prime i own is based off his SG look, and the only variants in the yolopark series Ive see are based off armorless magnus. EDIT. I just saw the ROTB Nemesis! not my cup of tea but its something.
I remember getting one of their old ULTRAMAN kits (might've been just Eastern Model and not yolopart) which if I'm remembering correctly had nightmarishly hard plastic and were unpleasant to build. So it's interesting that they're now doing these giga simple so called model kits.
Yoooolo Park! Cardboard Bots has returned, in accordance with the prophecy. I don't know if i can get used to the new background colour, but damnit i'll try! Yeah it's funny that Blokees came out around the same time.
@nicolaiefilip6414 good question. I have played with stop motion studio and I've used it several times when I don't have access to my full studio tools. It's quite good. I use "Camera One" software to tether my DSLR camera to my iMac. Then I turn the photos into clips using Adobe After Effects. I edit the final product in Adobe Premier. I make the thumbnails with Adobe Photoshop. I record the sound with Audacity.
I like these guys, but I have to say the Blokees are way more fun. They feel more like a Lego kit than a model. Plus, more character choices and 100% interchangable parts. I've built many customs with extra sets.
I love the looks of these guys, not sure who I'd like to see next but it would be nice to see another one, maybe two in the same video to show the parts swapping you hinted at. Maybe something to show some of the interchangeable ball joints, but also which ones can't swap? I get the feeling someone like Soundwave would look very silly with Bumblebee's limbs. Also, if you're going to bait me with that comic-homage in the thumbnail, it would be nice if you include it in the actual video.
Sorry about the thumbnail being a bit of a bait and switch. I did it as the last thing in my process as an afterthought. I shot the whole animation before writing the script. I thought about not talking about the limb swapping, but I wanted to talk about these toys in the context of hero mashers and blokees. I was too mentally exhausted to do more shooting of limb swapping. If I animate more of these, I'll include some more evidence of swapping.
That was a fun watch from front to end, thanks :-) As for next fig... hmmm Megs would be an obviously choice... but Grimlock is cool too cuz of his chonk. Also, be careful of inserting SW's gun into his hand. Waaaaaaaaay too tight of a fit. Almost broke mine :(
The way you animated Optimus assembling himself is similar to an idea that's been floating around in my mind for a couple of weeks now. I think it might be about time I manifested it 🤔 (Also if you haven't already I'd like to see one of the 3 Decepticons animated. Maybe do something funny like having Starscream get thrashed by Megatron? Lol)
MaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanN I’ve been waiting to hear that theme song again for a min & low & behold 💥POW-BOOM-SHA-BOW💥 here you are‼️ GREAT VIDEO as always🎬🎬🎬
You have the best sound effects on RUclips for stop motions LOL. These are way better than the Blockees. You should do Grimlock next. My Jar Jar Binks is a Hero Masher. I've gotten a LOT of usage out of that figure.
I was "this" close to putting in a photo of jar jar, the hero masher, when I discussed them. In my ideal world, prices of jar jar hero masher figures skyrocket on eBay because you made them so popular, and everyone is emulating your vids! I try really hard to put in lots of sound effects. Usually, I have the video finished for a long time before I get the nerve up to edit the voice-over and sound effects. I messed up the recording levels on my voice over, but couldn't force myself to re-record them correctly. Do you have any Blokees?
These give me bionicle in an odd way( not a bad thing, if anything a good thing) Kinda want to see the Soundwave one. Genuinely I’d love to see yolopark make a set of the Rescuebot recruits from Rescue bot academy. I think the characters it would fit this size and simplified model kit. Also make the OG Rescuebots in the bigger scale.
@NiallByrne big, chunky Rescue Bots are where it's at. Big enough to knock out a brother or sister if thrown across a room. I'll make a note of your vote for Soundwave
Waffling and forms from parts? Are you sure it's not done by hasbro? I kid, I kid. I've branched out to the third party stuff and found myself getting some mini type figs too. As long as you like it, doesn't matter, transforming or not. Also how could I pass up the chance to nominate a Bumblebee video? I mean no one ever covers him. Love the animations, the handing prime his weapon bit was great. Thanks for sharing CB.
@@CardboardBots that not what I ask And yes I know the real world too I work for 35 yrs now ! Doing a real job not RUclips What I was asking was you use to do good videos like real good reviews now just do 20 sec review

Soundwave all day, every day; he's pretty much the only TF I don't care about his altmode, so non-transforming toys/models are fine by me, if they have good articulation/design.
