I always think the vocal lines coming in after the intro are a bit of a let down on this number. The intro itself is Epic. This is nothing to do with Charlotte. It's in the song writing.

Actually, the only sexism that I see here is yours: You're making the assumption that Charlotte is a poor controlled "doll" who is told what to wear. Let me tell you that she was, along with Martijn, the co-founder and co-owner of the Delain company (the rest of the band were just "hired guns") and she quite independently decided what to wear and made many other decisions within the band. Not to mention that on this particular show she wears quite comfortable leggings - something that many other female singers also choose because they look cool and at the same time feel like sportswear. You reminded me of those who criticized guitarist Sophie Lloyd for wearing rather revealing clothes on stage, in her videos and promo photos - they say she attracts "male gaze." To which she replied that those clothes help her feel feminine and powerful and have nothing to do with "pleasing men".
@@SokolRock First of all I didn't criticise what she wore (I quite liked it actually).. I merely reflected the many interviews in which she herself accurately described what pressure female Front vocalists INCLUDING HER in the Metal Industry (and Rock business at large) were under to look a certain way. Ie revealing a lot. Some are happy to do it to increase business and turn over. Some are not. It's useless having a go at me, don't shoot the messenger with such an ignorant comment. 😳🤦🏻
She's an angel. I wish that we can have girls that love rock like her in Panama.
