What really caught my I terest in this scene is that he is playing an accompanying part in the piece, while the sheets have his wife's name on them. This implies this is a piece they used to play together, and I want to imagine that he is imagining and remembering her part play along with him. Considering his condition started when he and her split up, this scene shows that without her he was set off balance mentally as he is struggling to keep his composure as he plays, remembering the loss and grief of the relationship. This is further backed by the song being played in his funeral with the violin and piano version. (This piece being played by the violin and piano is a specific duo to play this piece as it is more common for the violin's part to be played by a flute). All in all this is just one of many amazing and expert Attention to detail that you can only expect to see in this kind of show. I kind of wish someone would make a complete deep dive into all of little different details, as I am sure this is an uncommon one to have figured out. And that there's so much more I didn't notice.
I've played this piece lol and I'm not really sure what Chuck is mad about. He played it pretty well, and kept tempo, you can't just rage quit because you hit a few wrong notes that's just not realistic. Is he really that much of a perfectionist? It's astonishing he ever learned to play like that in the first place.
Chuck is ON FIRE during this scene 🔥
Bro no way your vid brought me lookin for this lmao
Can’t wait for the SEASON 5 Ranking
Bro actually giving Chuck a complement😂
Not as much as he is in "lantern"
@@cellokid5104was just about to say that

I totally agree with you and think you should give me more information that would inform me about this of which you denied doing before
There are many little details in this show. I've had to rewatch it a few times in order to catch some of the things in it.
Show is a masterpiece
Say what you want, the man can play
It wasnt him. In an interview they revealed it was mike (jonathan banks)
@@morkopubgm8655 I believe that statement Jonathan Banks made was a joke.
@@johannesaskehov i know. That was sarcasm
mike can do anything lol
Yeah pretty LIT
i got this piece from my cello teacher a month ago. a beautiful piece indeed. probably the saddest one I ever played.
very emotional piece
I know it’s just a fictional story, but the narration of two brothers hating each other killed me in the deep
Michael McKean is such a fine actor! Loved him as Perry White in Smallville and was pleasantly surprised when I saw him play Chuck in BCS.
Nice of Vince Guaraldi, er Gilligan, to allow some competition on the set.
Good Grief
This song really is quite hard by the way, I tend to trip up in a lot of the same spots!
It’s not a song, it’s a piece of
Skinny Pete MOPS chuck at piano
"This one is called 'lick my love pump'"
Not to be confused with "pump lickers Requiem"
I'm just learning how to play piano, hopefully I can play this piece eventually

I think he had other stuff on his mind.
i hate seeing chuck hit himself in the head :( makes me wanna hug him
i like chuck
0:24 missed a note (that f natural should have been an e natural)

Faure is so underrated
This piece is different
Is that a wind-up metronome?
♥
Pretty hilarious how off the metronome he plays at times
That's classical 😔
He doesn't play off the metronome at any point, the notes you probably hear out of time are in the next bar
