Thanks for videos like this, Z! You're the reason I tried the Prologue/Demo, and the reason I bought the early access version a few hours ago when it came out. There aren't enough super low stress, enjoyable games like this out there.

@@sgtgriff9967 completely agree, except that starving all the time isn't fun even when that can be used to cheat (teleporting back home with nothing lost). as a new player (who hadn't watched any youtube videos on the game on purpose) i didn't have the luck to know where to go to find the resources for making enough heat fast enough to "research" the food maker and the resources to then also make the food maker. a dozen bags of foodseeds and a dozen vegetubes were of no help either, and only used up time and thus the few rations i had found, although i used that time without food and very slowly rising heat to make my base look amazing.
in the end, i finally got it (and watch the algae grow from the windows of my biodome and biolab), but with almost no aluminium, first had made 70+ t1 solar to get almost 0.5 GW power, lol.
This games gonna blow up its really good for early access
Watched some of this early access on another channel, love to see Z1 playing it as well. I had a thought while watching that some VR players may enjoy. Imagine this in VR, that feeling of change from a desolate wasteland to a lush beautiful landscape would be so much more extreme just because of the extra immersion VR offers. Honestly dont know how hard it would be to port this to VR but it has to be something explored, it would just be too cool.
honestly it feels built to be VR already, the only catch is the building placement would need to be redone a bit, which frankly it does anyway.
ore extractors have changed now they are biome specific to where the resource is which makes sense as otherwise once you have them and place anywhere they become a bit op
They use a TON of power though
i need a filter on them to not permanently run around, check them and litter (or build tons of storages for the unwanted resources).
somehow displaying the biome or the possible resources on an extractor might also help new players.
Z. There's a wall you can deconstruct in the ship you were in. It's up the last ladder in the room with the consoles, the one wall with pipes at the back
This game has so much nice new stuff in it now. and one of the new things you may not have noticed right away was the fact that some of the meteor storm events drop materials such as iron/titanium/aluminium etc. I look forward to seeing your reactions with the new content.
hey z, you should build a blueprint screen and decode them in your little air shacks, that way you have extra inventory space to bring back useful stuff to your base.

You can build living compartments from inside other compartments. So you don't HAVE to go outside to build them

I had the prologue and finished as much as I could a few years back and now I’m deciding whether to spend 20 bucks or saving (leanin towards buying it)
This game is so great! I hope for some awesome expansions and updates. Im going to make another playthrough so fun starting out before the speed upgrades.
I feel like they should add a Dome structure piece to place underwater so that you can build within it while having a fantastic view.

you miss a lot of places, like if you see a ladder you can climb them, and some of the walls can be torn down and there are crates behind them

i didn't watch any on purpose, to have a "first exprience" myself, and now am *bingewatching them all* to see what i have missed or what i did wrong. most important was to go to the alu/iridium location first because without that i terraformed very slowly, couldn't build the good heater and the food grower, and stopped exploring after walking in the other three directions (all except that one for alu/iridium) as far as the little food allowed. it's always the bad luck with the RNG that i have with such games on my first run ...
I want this game, but i don't have money to buy this game :(

Thanks man, after maxing out on "MIST, Kingdom Of Antham, and The Long Dark, you introduced me to Planet Crafter. Yes I do play Osiris New Dawn but it continually crashes on me. Believe me when I say I have a System that can handle that and more ( I finally built my DREAM MACHINE...if you want the specs let me know) but have not figured out why it still crashes. Does the same thing in Scum as well. Never the less I am intrigued with this game "planet Crafter". Although I must admit it seems VERY similar to Osiris. Thanks again, I've put Planet Crafter on my wish list at the top. Let the Developers know if you have communications with them. avb
i hate this half hour stuff.. just when i get in to it, it ends..
I so wanted to get into this game but it was giving me motion sickness with the jerky camera, also by default the mouse sentivity was set at 3% i thought my mouse was broken or the game was lagging LOL
In Star Citizen I've found the small adjustment of just 3% mouse smoothing corrects sharp jerky movement to something feeling more like fast human movement. Much improvement.

there is a golden chest in the valley underneath a flat rock on the valley, in the direction side of where your vegetable tube is located not far out, that you never discovered in your previous series.

Could have just made that micro chip reader in the hub at the ship, read, decon and carry more out.
I love that detail because it makes sense. There would be no lights because the reactor is offline.

Does it lag or is it slow? My in-game curser speed was turned way down to like 3%. I had to crank it up just to look around.
