My D&D bard plays concertina because of a sailor they fell in love with. I’m putting this little tune in their story :) The sailor taught my bard how to play this before he was lost to the waves. Im getting emotional over a fictional thing, but that’s the power of music and stories ❤️
That is lovely, perfect.
Nice trad playing! Thought I'd check out how other people play Out on the Ocean after my band arranged it in our "Ambient Temperatures" set!

Do you still play the concertina? :)
No, just melodeon/accordion these days.
0:52 what cords are you using
It sounds like G to C. So:
G-B-D -> G-C-E where B moves to C and D moves to E while G stays the same
Is there such a thing as an "Irish" concertina?
Anyway, nicely played!
The Anglo concertina was even from Germany, not England, and only from 1850s, but the Anglo is def the main concertina in trad Irish music these days
