I know you are trying to increase your watch time , but this Platform 1, Platform 2 chapter nonsense makes people less likely to watch rather than more, in fact many will even unsubscribe.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm using chapters to help people navigate as it is a long video, so they can skip if they don't think a platform is relevant for them. If anything it'll decrease my watch time but save the viewer time.
@@TiaTX If you had said what each platform was rather than just 'Platform 1' etc, I (and no doubt many others) would have watched the ones that were of interest and skipped the rest, rather than just skipping all of them (and unsubscribing in my case).
That's not an unusual technique and beats all of those videos out there without any chapters noted at all. If I can just look at the chapters and know what platforms you're talking about, why would I spend half an hour watching the video? SMH @TiaTX I would ignore this and move on. This technique is used by people with gold play buttons and I'm just guessing this guy doesn't have one of those.
I still do agree having chapters is better than not having any chapters. But having the links with the noted and also naming the chapters instead of just stating platforms is definitely better. Thanks for the video
